  • Hey when are you going to put a new vid? Are you waiting for fall?

  • what river is that, i live right by the meramec (and love the new camera)

  • @Catcarp8 It is one of the Meramec's many many tributaries. Meramec has some good turtle herping if you hit the right places.

  • @Reebbo Yeah a lot better than HWD

  • AWSOME!!!

  • man ur the best i wish i could meet u in person

  • your camera quality is amazing dude! keep it up!

  • @KPKreptile Thanks, we are really loving the new camera. It takes quite a bit more work to get set up and shoot but it is worth it in the end.

  • Great seeing a new vid ....how old do you think the snapping turtle was? Very cool find

  • a little bigger?, those snappers get to be about 3 times that size... EASILY

  • @immovable1 The Illinois Natural History Survey lists them as reaching a carapace length of up to 48cm (~19in). This one was probably around 14in.

    3 x 14 = 42. I Highly doubt that the common snapping turtle can reach 42in CL.

  • @Reebbo Here is a Video of a specimin like the ones i've seen crossing the road here in Northern Illinois. I have seen them even bigger,on the Fox Chain o'Lake in the Channels. I admit that I was over zealous with the "3 times as large" thing but the turtle you are holding really seemed small at first. btw, I love your Vids!! I don't mean to be trippin on ya. Here is that Vid .. watch?v=50oHC5cnqWc&feature=related

  • @Reebbo first vid link was bad sorry..

    watch?v=50oHC5cnqWc

  • what camra do you use amazing details you can see in your video

  • Hey nice snapper, last summer My friend and I caught one almost 3 times the size of that one. and last week I caught one about that size.

  • great finds, wish we had clear water here. all of our turtles have like beer cans and crap hanging off of them. vid quality is sic.

  • @smetlogik Haha that is how IL is. Most of our rivers here have been channeled and are all murky. That is why we go to MO when we want to herp in the water.

  • cool video

  • what was the name of the river you went to ?

  • the new camera is awesome

  • i love you, i love your skill and ability to find amphibians and i love your camera

  • @thedrdocktershow I have a Canon 100mm Macro that we use sometimes.

  • I heard somebody at the end. Lol awesome finds though

  • I tried to help a snapper across the highway with about 50 cars stopped behind me the snapper tried to bite my hand off. I don't recommend picking them up unless you really know what your doing.

  • Lucky b******, here in Scotland we have feck all, didn't see my 1st Adder(Vipera berus) till last year when I went looking for some they are extremely beautiful animals and the ones I found had stunning red eyes and an amazing pattern which is hard to describe.
