  • Nicely fiddled thanks! Tune really draws on in eh? I am wondering is this tune generally done in Am or Dm? I've see presentations of both I think.

    We use play it once starting A on the G string, then move across starting E on the D string

    for the second time around just for effect !

  • I'm pretty sure this is Scottish. I might be wrong but it strikes me as odd to have an Irish reel for a Scottish folktale.

  • its an irish reel written by to great friends davey arthur and george furey many years ago while on a tour in germany....

  • im starting to see alot of fiddle style players dont choke up on the frog like they have us do in hidhschool.....bout to cram this video down his throat and hold it however i feel like holding it :P ( 4 years playing and a cello player lectures me for my "bowgrip"...oi)....amazing playing tho man ^_^...although the one guy's right...might wanna wipe off some of that resin lol....makes the violin have a weird feel, even after u get it off...tends to solidify on the strings too

    Glasgow Reel - Why its sometimes, call Scots

    But also = Howling Wind,, which Tam Lin - Means??.. But composer is Davey Arthur= IRISH.

  • This is cool! I've been playing for almost 3 years and fiddle for 1 year. I'm beginning to learn to play by hearing and watching, so it would be nice if you could show your fingers :)
