i love the new actress for zi wei, she fits with er kang better than ruby lin did. and leo is just sooo sexy, hes a really good actor and did well portraying the prince, much better than alec. alec was kinda childish and immature in playing the prince in the 1st 2 series, leo's role was very mature, handsome, and credible. and im really glad they did keep the original actors for some roles, made the show better. but i really loooove the 3rd series, everyone needs to watch it!

although xiao yan zi isnt as funny and cute as zhao wei, she was a good fit cuz her character matured and the story focuses more on love and tragedy rather than comedy. it would've been weird if zhao wei played her again, i just couldn't see her being serious after HZGG 1 & 2. although she is very mature and does well in all her other tv shows & movies, i dont know...

maybe it's vice versa, that we can't say Hwang Yi acting as the old XYZ, and we can't see Vicki acting like the new XYZ because I think that I got used to Hwang Yi in season 3, but if you ever watch it backwards, watch the third season, and then watch the first two, you're going to really miss Zhao Wei, Alec Su & Ruby Lin. =/

i think i almost like the 3rd season better than the first two, the characters are so different but in a good way, they all grew up and became more mature, even xiao yan zi lol. the only actor i really hate is the emperor, he did a HORRIBLE job portraying the emperor. he was so passive and just uncredible.

yup. but i do kinda feel sorry for Zhi Hua at times. like sacrificing her future for Xiao Jian. That was very nice of her, but then at the end when she spills out the secret, i just get so mad and then at the end, i just can't help but feel sorry for her because she's lost her husband due to a lie that the emperor told. i gotta give her some pity there but the rest, she's so inconsiderate.
