I think they made many money than whole game companies.

to do samething and to develope samething in all life is too hard to stupids. only a few human can do it. like microsoft. they are making and developing windowse for long time. and blizzard is making only few games for long time.

so I guess. super mario was just for kid for short time. they didn't expect it.
