  • This is a very "tight" video. =p

  • Get real, people.

Unless YOURE educated enough to... uhh... figure out how to recreate the Ogle fuel system, or.... recreate the system that draws the heated air from our environment, and puts out exhaust thats 50 degrees cooler? (utilizing energy from the very heat in the air)? Keep filling your fuel tanks and shut the hell up, be happy with the oil-consumption industry, and keep paying ME to do YOUR fucking dirty work, you pussy ass liberals.

  • and where is the oil today?!? it's gone. there are micro organisms and enzymes in the sea that eat it. that's right, eat it. nature wins again.

    TYT... shut the F up

  • lots of things are dangerous

  • Who ever said nothing could go bad? That could happen wlth every job I had.

  • JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP

    "STOP THE OIL INDUSTRY "

IT'S TIME TOO WAKE UP TO OUR REALITY

  • Cenk My name is Joe Connick and I've been dilling high pressure oil and gas wells in the Gulf of Mexico all my life and never ever had anyproblems and the ones we did the safety system caught them in time for our crew to react. I contracted for B.P. a long time, this particular blow out I strongly believe was man's fault. I know the oil companies get in a rush to hit pay dirt to save them money. And cut corners to get what they want. Sometimes even faking the paper work to cover their ass. Joe

  • its the guvernment not doing what the governmet was paid not to do.we can't pay the government as much as the oil company.

  • all comies get out of my country all antis must be beatten until someone with a gun stops it and if it an anti amercan then they my continue on.

  • And if you don'r or if this pisses you then maybe you secretly see the hypocrisy in your beliefs!!!

  • Oil drilling is dangerous. The petroleum industry needs to be shut down! Many deaths are caused by alcohol so let’s reenact prohibition! Thousands of people die each day in car accidents so let’s shut down the auto industry. Many people die by electrocution so let’s shut down the electric industry; not to mention the environmental impacts generating electricity creates! What the hell, let’s just roll the clocks back to the 1500’s so we can all sleep better at night! Get the message???

  • Comment removed

  • for the record, Obama also promoted offshore drilling about 2 weeks before the spill!

  • @BenTheMagnifice He was against it, then for some out of no where reason decided to make like they were meeting people half way to explore the possibilities, though he had full beliefs before there were NO short term benefits.

Frankly it feels like someone telling another that they're going to get burned if they pick up those matches, then proved the point by handing them the packet after soaking it in lighter fluid.

All that failed tech, stocks sold just before accident... Do the math...

  • estimates are that this spill puts out the equivalent of Exxon Valdez every 13 days.

  • @ManicEightBall Dude. Thats frickin crazy.

  • The one and only Renewable & Biodegradable oil source is currently illegal. The 'War on Drugs' has been the second biggest social failure in American History, second only to Slavery. Re-Legalize Industrial Hemp so we can grow all of our oil and fuel in America Mr. President. Hemp Biodiesel Engines + Hemp Cellulose Ethanol = WIN. All I'm saying is if we can use Hemp to defeat the Axis powers in WWII, then why can't we use it for renewable energy? Cuz some kid somewhere might get high? Riiiight

  • america....you want OIL?????? you got it!!!

  • Revelation 8:8 The second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea; and a third of the sea became blood, King James Bible. revelation 16.3

And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

  • I sent to BP new project of module of containment, BP send my one e-mail regard it , their write my "were examining the feasibility"... but in another their e-mail , write my , my project is no feasible... I have make one video regard my new dome, judge for yourself , and think that whoever told me , are the same people who designed the first dome ...

write in adress bar "alexblustar dome".... >:(

  • lets be real here. If a company has the technology to build a rig and get oil from hundreds of miles down below, they sure as hell have to know how to stop the damn oil spill. And it should'nt take this long. i am tired of seeing pictures on the tv talking about it. If this is really a concern of the government, it would have been already cleaned up. BP would have been kicked out and the govt would take over and fix this shit in a day. This is all a mass lie. They are letting it all gush out.

  • @sranjesuper How can you honestly think that?? What does BP have to gain by letting oil spill? How could they possible profit from losing equipment, millions of gallons of oil, and getting tons of negative pr? Have you seen what a share of BP is worth right now? I guarantee if they could fix it, they sure as hell would. You can't just swim down and put a patch on it.

  • i have a feeling that the oil is important and if it leaks out, the crust of the earth will get dry and earthquakes will increase.

  • The USA-credo: Who needs fish and birds, clean air and clean water? We're living on monetary income, not on such things like nature and crap. Who needs this planet anyway? If this planet fails to support our business, we'll sue him and get another one. All we care about is business.

  • @MillyVanillification

    IMITATION CHEESE!

  • the entire oil well will empty into the sea... every last drop. they will get all the oil

  • dumb asses should really stick to land untill tech is good enough for ocean containments

  • Obama's plan is a joke! Obama plan Step 1 let's form a committee. Step 2 Discuss all the possibilities takes 2 months. STep 3 ? I don't know. Not one step closer. The solution is plug the hole! Nuke the hole (Russian did it) Stick a pipe down there and pump concrete into the hole. Obama is clueless and so are the mental disorder of the liberals mind set.

  • @Mr2wings Ok number one this was a private company that created this mess not government. If anything this flys in the face of republicans that are constantly crying foul about regulations and how it "hurts businesses".

    2) Obama did what all good pragmatist do he tried to compromise and give the republicans what they wanted which was off shore drilling. To sit up here and chastise him for following a policy that you guys wanted is hypocritical to say the least..I'd say downright dishonest!

  • I wanted to talk about the dome built to BP ... could not work, it is bad idea built into a single component..., the cover should be attached to module to a second time.. I made a project to new containment dome, but BP told me that my project in no feasible!! ??!! Plese lock my project dome, Judge for yourself....

  • Unless the oil industry insider has a face burnt by a crude oil fire that gives his skin the look of Egg Foo Young, I won't believe him.

  • That Deepwater Horizon is another Fals Flag Op. by the same perps! No? Who are the players? Halliburton, what a coincidence. Remember, we are in the decade of strange coincidences, 2001-2010

  • Oil drilling in our oceans should be banned forever!!!!!!

  • This will top 100 million hahaha nice job obamass bush and hayword

  • I love you idiots. Would you be the first to stop driving anywhere or stop eating food so the trucks don't have to deliver it to the store.Stop flying on trips. Maybe you just want the other 200 million Americans to stop driving. Why not drill in Alaska on the ground. If you have a problem just stick a couple of baby seals down the hole ,problem solved.

  • this is spewing at least a barrel a second you do the math

    over 200000000 barrels a day

    any idiot can see that

  • This is what all you money hungry republicans wanted. Pres obama can't stop drilling or he will be assassinated.

  • Gulf oil spill: What's really happening with YOU? It's a COA video on You Tube & it goes beyond ignorance, hate, blame and more. It also promotes one of the most simplest and practical solutions concerning all toxic oil and more. See COA's Evolving Awareness section to find the video, for more information.

  • Thats crazy

  • @IowaArmen when are retards driving around in vehicles the size of an aircraft carrier going to realize that they're the ones who gave the islamic terrorists funding? when are they going to realize the sick, sad irony of putting american flag & god bless our troops bumper stickers on said aircraft carrier sized vehicles? when are they going to wake the f**k up & get it?

  • " Exxon Valdez was the largest at 11M" When you say this what do you mean?In Us history?Because its not the largest ever by far.

  • I ride a bike, is it wrong that i don't feel bad about this? If anything this could trigger us to use better resources. Oil is outdated and its time to move foward.

  • This is what a woman posted on BP's facebook....>Margie Backstrom...In a week the news coverage on this will be almost over. No one will care about about your signs, silly boycotts.dead animals and lies. Buisness as usual. We(BP) make money! Game over!

  • I already know the answer, but ask yourselves... WHEN AND WHY did it become OK to rape Mother Earth?

    *

If you dont know the answer, watch Russell Means (Lakota Elder) talk about Matriarchy and patriarchy. Hopefully y'all will figure it out then.

  • two words... acoustic switch

  • If you dont like whats happened then do us all a favor. quit buying anything that is made or grown.go start your own home stead and live off the land. if you cant do that then quit bitching. sure it was a big fuck up, but lets not forget those men and woman that work there asses off every day to provide us with our want in life. every thing that is made in this world comes into contact with the oil and gas industry. If it wasnt for them we would have shit all. even your eletric cars need us.

  • Oil leak small or big must be concern to all of us ,why can they put safety measures in oil tankers, oil rig anf in oil exploration ,so much pollution had already damage our planet,I hope we learn a lesson ang we must now go full speed in to other source of energy and reducing and limited the used of oil into selected industries.

  • Blow the hole shut with an explosion close to the middle of the crust it should be deep enough for the dilled hole to cabe in. if BP does it in 3 stages... it should shut off that drilled hole. then cement it shut. Ya'll keep waisting time delaying on this solution and making it worse for the environment. and I pray God that's the only leak.

Screw BP and it's millions wasted on that drill hole blow it off shut and re-drill latter or better yet don't drill at all.

  • What saddens me is that it seems few people are really asking the important question about this oil drilling, which is why are we still using the cumbustion engine...and oil for fuel? We have had the tech. to discard gasoline engines for years and years so why are we still using them? It just goes to show how much pull this oil companies really have on our political system. The govt. isnt listening to you....big business and their money is king.

  • @semitar6 it doesnt only run cars. And it would cost americans billions out of their own pockets to change completely from oil to another source of future fuel.. But I wish what you are trying to say was true...

  • WE WHO LIVE IN THE COST SHOULD CLEAN THIS UP BEACUSE THOSE MOTHER FUCKER FROM BP ARE AT A LOSS WE DONT NEED THE GOVERMENT WE JUST NEED TO DIVIED BOTH WATER AND OIL INTO A PETRO TANK

  • (acoustic valve trigger) -- would have prevented this -- they are used worldwide -- not used in the US

  • obama is a such a mother fucker getting his race card free pass while he sits on his ass and does nothing!

  • Corrupt politicians and CEOS should be considered traitors to the United States of America. We are a country at war, young men and women are dying and they are sabotaging our economy. If convicted they should be subject to the firing squad.

  • no exxon valdez was no were near the largest. not evenclose to the top ten.

  • drill baby drill!!!

poison the world baby poison the world!!!

  • drill baby drill :)

    death baby death :)

    destruction baby destruction :)

    cancer baby cancer :)

    smog baby smog :)

    bribery baby bribery :)

    corruption baby corruption :)

  • I love the oil industry ive even considered getting a job on a rig

  • @marioGW91 You are a moron who I would love to dip your head into the gulf and force you to drink it since its only oil. I would treat you like a little piggie on Christmas Story. Except my hands would be around your neck and force it down Tea Bagger. Better yet if you have children which in my words is a crime against humanity I would force them to drink it. Oil is good for ya right buddy. It's just like vitamin water.

  • @fdrisgreat first of all ur using oil right now so if u dont like it dont fucking use it !! and if it was for oil we would be like 100years in techology and resaech and human progess on the earth

  • @fdrisgreat like 100years behind

  • @fdrisgreat and neway if u dont like it what u going to do to stop it!! nothing u own a car u use electricy so ur a hipacriteo ......nothing will stop poeple from drilling for oil and accident like this dont happen ever day so the earth will recover so chill ur peas

  • wind power is useless

  • buy a wind generator, plug in a electric car(tesla goes over 200 miles on charge). and run your home. now you look like a dumbass. Just so you know the first cars were electric. Other countrey are doing this already. But what really can we learn from things like this anyway,( and who needs school right dud.)

  • Humans destroying nature AGAIN since human's know best as we're the most powerful being alive

  • RyPetermannQuickHit Click on my title for my musical comment.

  • you know this is the FIRST time a rig has sunk and then started to leak. yall act like this happens every other day. and did you know that the amount of oil that is leaking in the gulf is equil to what leaks naturaly around the rest of the planet every day?

and did you also know that when we drill an oil pocket that this " natural seepage" stops. could it be that drilling is good for the planet?

  • I think what many Americans who are in favor of the "Drill Baby Drill" manta don't realize is that catastrophes like this effect the WHOLE FUCKING PLANET!! and not just their fucking pocketbooks.

There needs to be a movement towards new energy technologies that are safe for the world, and, IMHO, Oil companies need to take the lead, or at the very least get the fuck out of the way and stop buying politicians.

  • drill baby drill ?

  • BREAKING: Large Air Spill at Wind Farm. No threats reported. Some claim to enjoy the breeze.

  • BP is the most irresponsible multinational company in the world. This is their 3rd disaster: Exxon Valdez, Texas City 2005, and now this oil spill. But then this is the oil company that spent $5 billion on alternate energy a few years ago, and neglected their core business. But the whole Gulf area was unprepared because they listened to "experts" who said this could never happen. I just wonder when the US will tell BP to get out of the USA.

  • yet you never see any earth first types running to go live in a teepee made from leaves or animal skins do you???? they love that modern technology.

  • First major oil rig accident in 20 years. Bring it down Cenk.

  • Use electric cars, screw oil and gas. Dinosaur technology is old.

    viva la revolucion

  • @lapiz4azulli yeah and my gasoline powered car can go 70 miles per hour and go 500 miles on one tank of fuel. Can your electric car do that?

  • Wow, that's some slam-bang hindsight reporting, right there! Liberal fucktards...

  • oil is good for your insides, i always put some on my salad.

  • "Oil Industry Insider: Offshore Drilling Dangerous"

Nice headline.......Better call "DUH! Magazine".....looks like you got a cover story.

  • Now the U.S. government will have to help BP as the last resort. This disaster will f..k up wildlife and people's livelihoods as we know it for years to come. 10 billion dollar clean up most likely will be the cost. U.S. Government should just own B.P. Another thing the U.S. will have to bail out the IMF. No more derivatives folks. U.S. will increase the national debt even more.

  • im interested to know how much more dangerous "offshore" drilling is to any other type of oil drilling? more? less? same? if anyone has any info on this please link it.

  • @natedebell It's probably more dangerous for the simple fact that in the event of a spill or incodent, A) it spreads fast, and B) you can't correct the problem easily without submarine equipment.

  • @natedebell If you use logic (not that I am saying you don't have), no. It has same effect on land as well, killing land as it goes. However, it is HARD to contain it while on land, it is. For instance, sea moves and as sea moves, it moves those oil, killing TONS AND TONS of sea life as it goes. It also effects our water, which means..well..bad. In Nigeria, there is general lack of environmental concern so it kills a lot of life, but that's because no law protects ppl's lives.

  • ugh I live in Louisiana and it's gonna be so horrible tht were not gonna have much seafood for a while :( it just seems like as more and more oil is spilling out in the gulf, destroying our wetlands and seafood (and beaches for Alabama) and ppl are just sitting there on their lazy asses and saying "oh im sorry, the oil spill is too big, we cant do anything about it" idiots

  • So who is this expert, I call BS on that one. I'm in the offshore industry, for the past 30 years. It is safe and highly regulated and this is just a very unfortunate occurance. There are way to many uninformed people commenting on this.

  • @Pickensslim1

Depends on how you define "safe and highly regulated".

    .

  • cenk.. they are polluting properties that don't belong to them and that IS a function outlined by the libertarian leaning american founders for when the government is to step in.. just why the hell is that sarcastic tone present in your voice every rare opportunity there is actually something for the government to do that is even legitimately defined by the constitution in the first place--to protect properties. limited government is not NO government.. is it ignorance or you just venting?

  • if we used wind power or hydroelectric power more, the worst that could happen is a wind tower falling and crushing a few plants, but no, we get oil spills that destroy thousands of miles of animal habitats

  • @theworm1244 yea but guess what you have to lube the windmilss and turbines with?, give up? Oil. so I guess we would still have to drill.

  • @theworm1244 Good luck using windpower to fuel your car dumbass.

  • @theworm1244 Just to keep the record clear here: in order to use wind turbines to generate enough electricity to replace oil or coal would require acres and acres of wind turbines. That is if there is wind.

Hydro-electric is good, but every time a new dam needs to be built, we affect the environment greatly.

Nuclear is the best replacement in the near future.

  • Theres many other ways.

Geothermal energy could be used to replace the nuclear fuel used to boil steam for a reactor to turn turbines

Solar farms could offset the low wind days of a wind farm, put them in uninhabitted areas, unuseable land

Canada has MILLIONS of Km's of unused land, we are investing alot of money in this. I see parts of wind turbines on the trans canada everyday heading out west!

  • @mattmatt115 I agree with geo-thermal, a truly sustainable energy source. Solar and wind generation will have to advance a couple of generations to be effective. I live where they are putting an enormous research, test, design facility for the next generation wind turbine. Going to see how they work off the coast. Should be quite a site.

  • @mattmatt115

There's also the powerful, never-ending power of tidal energy!

The earth has so many natural, renewable, clean energy resources. I don't know why people don't want to use them instead. It makes no sense.

  • @hitheresunshine people do want these renewable energies it's the oil oligarchies that prevent it from happening...solution...stop driving and stop buying gas and oil...revolt! but of course there are way too many fat lazy fucks who would rather pollute and depend on oil than ride a bicycle and get some freaking exercize

  • @creedstat

Not to mention, for some, that's rather difficult. My boyfriend drives two hours+ every week day just to get too and from work, and once he gets to work, he usually has to drive around to check on his clients that either can't leave their house due to medical difficulties, or aren't allowed to leave because they're under house arrest.

You're right, though. The only way that we can stop this is by stopping it ourselves. People don't realize the power they have over these companies!

  • @hitheresunshine I am talking about sensless driving to Hardees and Mc donalds hence the lazy fat fucks:)...we could stop this but unfortunately the west has been dumbed down to the to the point of couch/car potatoe fat pigs...I don't drive I ride a bicycle and walk...and I refuse to buy plastic garbage I DO NOT NEED that ends up in a landfill FOREVER!!! yall should try it sometime and soon before this planet is destroyed and uninhabitatble!!!

  • @creedstat

Aha, yeah. I don't get why people can't just make a lot of their own food. Mom and I are starting a garden out back so we don't have to drive to the grocery store as much. :D

My friend, when she moved to New York, was asked, "You came from Texas?? ...Did you ride horses to school??"

Of course, the answer was no. There are times, though, when I wish that WAS the case. XD This being one of them.

I'm lucky enough to have a walgreens less than a mile from my house, so I usually just walk.

  • @creedstat

Also, there ARE people who don't want renewable, clean energy sources. Sadly.

They're manipulated by the people who are in the oil business. =/ Fox News seems to shrug the spill off (save for Shep Smith), and it looks to me like it's because they don't want to piss off Al-waleed bin Talal, who's a pretty big shareholder in their company, and also a Saudi oil prince.

But anyone who doesn't want clean, infinite energy is a complete idiot. Seriously.

  • God can you imagine if this was a Chinese oil rig. The cons here would be all over this. But since this is a british company, they get the free pass and plus, we will foot the bill to clean up after their mess.

    God Bless America.

  • Don't like OIL? Get off the computer nimrods! YOU are using oil every time you log on...

oh...and sell your damn cars.....every one of you should practice what you preach....START WALKING....EVERYWHERE

  • @gareyt17 You love oil so damn much go to the Gulf of Mexico wear your Drill Baby Drill shirt and stick your head in the water and drink, drink all that oily water.

  • @fdrisgreat

No time...gotta drill for more so you can post your inane messages on da internet.......

Seems I'm the only one between us knows what oil is for.....HEY I know...give up your car....I can buy you some training wheels for a bicycle.....

  • @gareyt17 they can't because it takes oil to make the bicycle they will claim they ride, which they dont because they cannot expect the ambulance drivers to come get their mother on a bicycle when they dial 9-11 which they call because of electricity being generated by coal, nat gas, or atomic power. Yeahhhhhhh.

  • @fdrisgreat truth of the matter is that the sea water will greak down in the oil in no time and everything will be back to normal. Watch a series called Life After People. It'll show you how small your impact is, just how tiny you really are in the grand scheme of things.

  • @fdrisgreat caim down hippy shit its ownly oil at least we are not burning it it to the atomosspehere GO OIL INDUSTRY

  • @gareyt17

    How about using less?

Plastic can be made with hemp oil.

If you could promise to shut down all of the fossil fuel production, I'll happily get off the computer.

  • @gmfutube Right. But this means that the holy oil corporations have to use their brains and switch business. The least those corporations want to do is start to think. BP spent 250 Mio. USD in 20 years on marketing for their green image and less than 20 Mio. USD for developing alternative energy-sources. This is the true mind-set of corporations. They behave like sociopaths.

  • @gareyt17 I'm not saying oil is great like you morons are dipshit. I'm using solar panels to power my house dipshit. I get a pretty good energy from my home what's your excuse. Most people use coal to power their homes not oil retard. Before you make an argument about energy consumption at least make sure how most homes are being powered to generate electricity.

  • I worry about the intelligence of anyone who heard the Oil companies say "Don't worry, its perfectly safe" and just took their word for it.

  • Furthermore, I think this should be a reminder of why we need to start switching away from fossil fuels ASAP... like frickin YESTERDAY!

  • @Wolfau5 LOL!

Aren´t you americans embarrassed on how planless desaster reaction is? I mean the sinking of New Orleans was foreseable (too lows damms?), THIS desaster was foreseable and the US coast guard had multiple opportunities to train on smaler incidents yet burning the oil was their solution?

    *deskpalming hard*

  • @0PsycoDad0

Not an American, and yes I am concerned that American's disaster (with an i) reactions are generally less than up to the task.

  • @Wolfau5 k , as an Australian you had it yourself recently. What has happend to the chinese floating coffin? Have you managed to pull it off the reef?

  • CENK, it's awesome that you (liberal) are gonna block this.... It will be awesome to see y'all beg for OIL, when the gas stations are "out"..... there is no way we can close the gap between "energy needs" and "alternative energy development".... I am an insider of the energy industry, specifically ALTERNATIVE (soon enough to be primary)... WE NEED ALL THE OIL we can GET OUR HANDS on.... UN EMPLOYMENT will be wide-spread.

  • @UnderseaCaveman

We need clean land, clean water and clean air. People lived on this planet for a long time without industrialization. Less comfortable for many of us but obviously possible.

If we continue what we are doing hunger and death will be wide-spread.

  • We need to start getting off the grid before we turn our oceans black.

  • Lord Byron is rolling in his grave

  • you'd think with all the money they make they can invest in precautions and prevention of this

  • I've watched as the US and the two corporate owned parties squandered away the past 30+ years where signifigant advances in building a clean energy infrastructure combined with energy conservation COULD have been implemented which would put us in a radically better position than the major grave-like hole the country is in now. Yeah real fucking brilliant letting dirty industry and their bought clowns run the show and bring only ruin.

  • Coal Mining is dangerous too Cenk, not to mention just driving to work is dangerous..we all cant just sit on our asses and whine about shit...some people have to make things happen in this work. High and mighty Ivory Tower man still have to fill his Prius (and i know you drive one you smug asshat) with oil.

  • @DaytonaRoadster and yes it does suck for the wildlife that has to suffer, i know i wouldnt want to swim and choke to death on it..but shit happens

  • sad for the lives lost, the marine life and the birds

green peace is probably going hard after this corp

  • Everyone just hold on! Before you start attacking BP you should realize that BP also provides a lot of solar and wind power helping to counteract Global Warming and they are one of the few companies in the oil industry that are working on solutions to climate change. Unlike ExxonMobile, who spends billions every year to spread misinformation about climate change. A story I read earlier this evening it appears Haliburton actually poured the concrete for the well and may be partly responsible.

  • This is precisely what happens when a nation heeds the advice of conservatives who proclaim that we should have small government, deregulate industry, and allow businesses to regulate themselves. I beg any conservative who believes so strongly in that mantra to go and take a swim right now in the Gulf of Mexico.

  • Don't but from BP gasoline stations... They did not want to spend money in fixing the problem..., let's show the industry the we can put them out of business

  • Also there was no acoustic switch ,,which Transocean failed to instal

  • Everyone blames BP,,yet they leased the rig from Transocean. I mean does anyone even know yet what actually caused the explosion ? Also wouldn't Transocean be the ones actually responsible for the rig and its condition ?

  • Corporate exofascism at it's finest. Exofascism is defined as fascism exported for the sake of Multinational corporate profits. Corporatocracy at work on Wallstreet...

  • BOYCOTT BP !!!!!!!!!

  • hmph... I thought Gov't couldn't do anything right. Why does this efficient company need the Gov't's "low level" help?

  • this is what "capital punishment" should be used for...BP officials should of had a better plan to contain this. someone should go to jail.

  • The internet is a fascinating thing. Here we are at the end, watching it all happen. People are getting more angry, more cynical, and more sure of themselves than I've seen. The ability of the mass market media to divide and conquer is a frustrating sight to behold. Watch the ignorant masses fall into panic and tear each other apart like cannibalistic wolves. It's this set of talking points against the other.

  • @chiefcheese08

No, we should all calm down. BP will handle everything. Oh right, they aren't. BP is begging the US government to bail them out. How very capitalist of them.

The residents and visitors of up to five coastal states should just bask at the beach in the sludge. We have to have progress after all.

The fishermen should be allowed to sell the contaminated seafood, right? Let the 'fish' market police itself?

We will stop them, not tear ourselves apart over this.

  • anybody wonder about the environmental impact? this could be the straw that breaks the camel's back so to speak

  • @odom602 It's a huge mess that has only just begun. This is one big black eye on mother earth that will affect creatures in all walks of life, environmentally and economically. It's just rippling in now, and we won't really know how bad it is until the waves of results start spilling in over the next coming months. And I'm starting to miss the taste of oysters already.

  • This one is going to hurt, freaking Louisiana can't get a break...and to think there is talk about sequestering toxins underground because they have the "technology"...the triple threat in this industry is human error, material failure, and metal simply rusts...

  • Oh yeah and BP will do just like Exxonmobil and never pay for any assistance while they continue to make record profits!

  • the end is near.

  • where are those people that wanted limited federal government? how's that working for ya?

  • Man, we just love bitch slapping mother earth.

  • this is the problem with government tyranny and obama's nationalization of the economy, if those government regulators would have just left the oil rig alone this wouldn't of happned. although if you think about it, isn't it suspicious how the obama regime has been complaining about oil regulation and then they impose so many penalties and problems on this rig it explodes? hitler used false flag operations too.

  • @tehant1liberal Yes, and it was the fault of that tyrant George H. W. Bush that Exxon Valdez had its oil spill!

    Idiot.

  • @tehant1liberal Who are you? Do you only listen to Glenn Beck and freemarket neo-liberal bullshit? You have to be the most brainwashed person I have ever seen post anywhere!

  • @tehant1liberal Sarcasm or serious?

If there weren't any deregulations from Bush, then whatever regulations there were in place lead to the violations that have been ignored by BP. So how is Obama's tyranny related? Perhaps by using our tax dollars and resources to help clean up the mess now? Please specify or back up your claims by showing us where you got your facts toward this conclusion/assumption so that we'd know how to prevent this in the future. Thanks.

  • @tehant1liberal

Just what did the government regulators do to the rig?

There was NO regulation requiring a remote BOP

The well is in 5000 feet of water and they had no plan for a major leak. BP said in its EIR turned in in 2009 that such a spill was unlikely and that if there was a leak it would not be a problem for shorelines and wildlife.

Total fucking fantasy, as is your illiterate paranoid rambling

  • Drill baby drill! Fucking Idiots! =p

  • i wonder how much oil is going to go up now...

  • So Cenk wants us to just buy oil from the middle east forever? No offshore drilling , no nuclear power? We cant make enough wind power generators to supply the nation...sorry to burst your fantasy liberal bubble

  • It was AL QAEDA!!!

  • Obama was a pussy and look what happened...

  • Its not only dangerous its dumb. There is more oil in alaska.Than there is in the middle east. Its all a game.

  • It was a TERROR IST ATTACK!!!

  • Every asshole who ever chanted ....Drill baby drill.. should have to report to the Gulf coast today for cleanup duty " Bill Maher "

McCain/ Palin are you ready to serve your country ??=) " MissMelodia

  • @MissMelodia4U I guess you missed Obama's announcement to start issuing permits to oil companies for offshore drilling. Perhaps a bit more paying attention to current events would be helpful. This is Obama's Katrina and he's failing. Let's see if we hear the outcry from people such as you like we did about Bush even though Nagin didn't ask for help until too late.
