Three of the Incubus' are death/thrash, one is NWOBHM. Watchtower and Coroner are technical thrash. Atheist, Death are death. Saxon and Raven NWOBHM. DRI is crossover thrash. Blood Feast is death/thrash. Midnight is speed. Need I go on? And hardcore metal = mix of hardcore punk and (generally) thrash = crossover or thrashcore (see SOD, DRI, Evil Dead, Uncle Slam, etc).

All of that adds up to terrible music.

Atheist: Complexity on all instruments, fairly unique take on death metal vox. Plenty of feeling.

It's not your speakers, it's the mic on the camera. The mic has a low frequency cutoff to keep the audio from distorting in loud environments and keep wind from showing up. You can only hear deep bass when everything else is quieter. You can hear the initial click, but even then its pretty subtle. Don't get S-C. Those are for idiots who don't know audio quality. All they do is crank the bass and treble. You lose the natural grit. Buy Sony MDR-V600. If you like the extra bass get Sony MDR-v6.
