I'm so proud of you. I have no self control, which is why I wear my body magic. It keeps me from over eating cuz I just can't stop eating!! I don't know why. girl 4lbs is great !!!! and don't even think of it as you want to lose fifty or sixty pounds ........now that ur at 196 just think of it as you want to get to the 180's then once you get there you want to get to 170's mentally it will make the journey much easier i have alot of weight to lose and it really helps me out to think of it as milestones ......go girl!!!!!1
Still on the Water Fast, I lost 10lbs in 4 days.... I have 6 Days to go. It works, the obvious is that I will gain some weight back. I will follow it up with the Atkins Diet. Everything will be Okay! Keep it up, your face is getting slimmer..... I was 190lbs, Now I am 180.1lbs!! Yaaay

I got serious about my weight loss December 7th and have since lost 15 lbs. I want to lose about 10 more to put me at 140 lbs. I may stop at 145 and then put effort into flattening my stomach. I've cheated MANY times during my journey but I just do a semi fast and work out harder the next day. Now that I'm really close to my weight loss goal I'm taking steps to clear my acne prone skin.

one thing we need to discuss is how can we keep our lace wigs and half wigs on point and still glued when were working up a sweat if we go to the gym alot thats the only thing im worried about and swearing with a lace wig on esp my new remi 1 and please believe i wanna glue that suckka down so whats a diva to do?
Keep it up...it takes alot of motivation to go to the gym, but once you keep it up it will become a normal part of life...and will not seem like a chore!!

Congrats. I ran for the first time on sunday and you're right. That extra booty hurts but I did it. Keep it up. Check out the wold according to egg face. Great blog with cool protien packed recipies. I've been making stuff and I don't feel deprived. The pancake bites tates like mc griddles. All sugar free and low carb. Good luck Diva.

Keep up the great work. Coming from someone who has lost over 100lbs and has kept it off for over 6 years..I never deprived myself when I was losing weight. I would eat fast food and sweets once a week so it didn't feel like I was totally cutting it out and so when I had a taste, I wouldn't over eat. I only did short term goals at first like I told myself I would only lose 20lbs but the first month I lost 20lbs and it kept coming off. Once you start, it will get so much easier...it can be done.
the elliptical is a great workout good for cardio. I gain alot of weight in my hips butt and thighs and the elliptical gets you toned in those areas and a great cardio/ total body if you use it properly good luck

I guess i am cheating lol, i am doing the hcg girl and i started on 1/1/2011 have lost 20lbs. i am never hungry but i make my self eat, keep up the hard work diva i'm taking the lazy way but i did research first and watch a lot of youtube vids on hcg diet and when i saw so many people looking like new money and than a bilboard came up in my city to a hcg clinic it was the answer for me to try this out.

I opted to buy a treadmill instead of joining a gym. It's more convenient for me to hop on for 30 minutes before or after work and just get in that workout. I have much more to lose than you but every pound counts. The hardest part for me is -- you guessed it -- the food! I didn't make any resolutions for this year, but I'm finding that I want to work out and be healthy AND I'm transitioning to natural hair. I can't wait until some time passes and I see some progress.

Girl, good job. I am trying to lose some weight and it is soo hard for me. I stopped smoking about 4 months ago and that wasn't bad. I had to stop drinking because of the medication I am on for my hair loss and that was harder than smoking but this diet thing is the hardest yet. Soo hard...but this video has given me light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks for all of your hard work and sharing it with us.
Hey! You are looking fly. Every bit counts so celebrate every lb lost. Regarding the junk I think moderation and portion control is the key. If you say i'm never going to eat cake n then give into temptation and have some you'll feel really bad. So instead you can say I'm just reducing the amount of junk I can have. You can fit in a little in your diet like one cookie instead of 6 and do a few more minutes extra exercising to burn off the calories. I've lost 7lbs so far and I have 20lbs to go

April u motivate me straight up. I love the fact u are letting us go on this weight lose journey with u. I've also been trying to lose weight. After have my sons back to back I gained a extra 30lbs. I've been working out and cutting on the snacks and lost 35lbs in about 2 1/2 -3 months. I don't want to be model type but my goal is to lose about another 50 or 60lbs. Keep up the work

Congrats on your weight loss diva! I am proud of you and keep up the good work! Sweets are my weakness too lol. I lost over 50 pounds and kept it off for 6 years now by eating smaller portions and exercise. I went from wearing a size 16 to a size 8. Drinking plenty of water helps too. There are days where I get off track too but I make sure to get back on track the next day :-)

congrats on your weight loss.... I was told I was pre Diabetic and needed to lose 70 pounds. I have been working on my weight loss since november and have now loss 15 pounsds. I have always been thin and hand trouble gaining weight, so this is all new to me.I understand how hard it is and wish you lots of weight loss and great health.

Its a work in progress but like you said we human and of course being the human that I am I eaten some things i know i shouldn't have. But I keep going. My goal is to be 130.

Its not always easy or perfect. I always gain around the winter. So I make sure to workout more and cut down on the sweets. That usually helps me. I could go down to 130 to 140. I feel more comfortable and happy at 150. Its easy for me to maintain. I dont want my butt to shrink lol. Great video Miss Diva..take care Rachel

I wanted to add to my comment. I have been around 150 pounds for the past 18 years. I have been able to maintain the same weight by eating home cooked meals. I dont eat out often. I do weight training, step machine, dancing (latin,zumba(helps with a muffin top), ballroom and bellydancing), rowing machine, pilates(helps with your core and back), yoga, boxing( helps with back fat). I also do some workout dvds when I am lazy. I have a couple of cheat meals a week. I drink lots of green tea.

The 4 pounds is probably mostly water weight, not taking away from that because thats still great. Im going through a weight loss journey also and once i got past that 5 pounds of water weight it then began hard for the pounds to shed..i was 178 and now i am 168 so yea girl! Keep up the good work!

April, I know we must go to the same gym, and I feel you on that ecliptic(spelling)...it will kill you but that burns more calories than the treadmill, did u get a chance to work with the trainer, I did and he killed me, we are at the same weight now, so I am tracking my progress with u girl!!! Workout in the body magic it actually helped me loose 66lbs I went from 220 to 160 and I had to get another one which I use now to help maintain my weight because I get full fast when I eat in it...lol and the elliptical my fav (training mode at 8ramp 10 resistance) for 1hr also do the treadmill (high ramp, low speed) because alternating tricks your body so you keep loosing lbs instead of your body getting use to one thing.

April, you look really nice, you look fresh, I don't know if it's the make up the hair or what, but you look really nice. I also started working out, I got a 7 day free trial for the gym and I'm getting my membership this week. I tried working out by myself in the house, but it didn't work. The gym really works for me and I love the zumba classes. I'll try the eliptical machine next time I'm there. Let's get healthy!!!!

Also remember mucsle weighs more than fat so you might not lose alot of pounds but you will lose inches.

I guess i am cheating lol, i am doing the hcg girl and i started on 1/1/2011 have lost 20lbs. i am never hungry but i make my self eat, keep up the hard work diva i'm taking the lazy way but i did research first and watch a lot of youtube vids on hcg diet and when i saw so many people looking like new money and than a bilboard came up in my city to a hcg clinic it was the answer for me to try this out.

Congrats, April!
I opted to buy a treadmill instead of joining a gym. It's more convenient for me to hop on for 30 minutes before or after work and just get in that workout. I have much more to lose than you but every pound counts. The hardest part for me is -- you guessed it -- the food! I didn't make any resolutions for this year, but I'm finding that I want to work out and be healthy AND I'm transitioning to natural hair. I can't wait until some time passes and I see some progress.

Girl, good job. I am trying to lose some weight and it is soo hard for me. I stopped smoking about 4 months ago and that wasn't bad. I had to stop drinking because of the medication I am on for my hair loss and that was harder than smoking but this diet thing is the hardest yet. Soo hard...but this video has given me light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks for all of your hard work and sharing it with us.

Hey! You are looking fly. Every bit counts so celebrate every lb lost. Regarding the junk I think moderation and portion control is the key. If you say i'm never going to eat cake n then give into temptation and have some you'll feel really bad. So instead you can say I'm just reducing the amount of junk I can have. You can fit in a little in your diet like one cookie instead of 6 and do a few more minutes extra exercising to burn off the calories. I've lost 7lbs so far and I have 20lbs to go

April u motivate me straight up. I love the fact u are letting us go on this weight lose journey with u. I've also been trying to lose weight. After have my sons back to back I gained a extra 30lbs. I've been working out and cutting on the snacks and lost 35lbs in about 2 1/2 -3 months. I don't want to be model type but my goal is to lose about another 50 or 60lbs. Keep up the work

Congrats on your weight loss diva! I am proud of you and keep up the good work! Sweets are my weakness too lol. I lost over 50 pounds and kept it off for 6 years now by eating smaller portions and exercise. I went from wearing a size 16 to a size 8. Drinking plenty of water helps too. There are days where I get off track too but I make sure to get back on track the next day :-)

congrats on your weight loss.... I was told I was pre Diabetic and needed to lose 70 pounds. I have been working on my weight loss since november and have now loss 15 pounsds. It's crazy because I recently started my weight loss journey and I've lost 6 lbs. My goal is to be 160/150 so I have quite few more pounds to go! I just told myself there is no way I'm going to graduate from college being this size. We owe it to ourselves to be healthy. Can't wait for the next update. God Bless, April.

Congrats!!! Keep up the great work!!! I've been on my journey since september. I lost a total of 44 pds!! It's been hard, because I have hypothyroidism. So, I have finally found what works for me! I had to drastically cut my calories, I will do a update this week... but I haven't been this small since high school. and I still have more to go! Kids will put a wreck on your body girl!! COngrats again... I will post a video response this week hopefully.

I am on this journey with you Diva, it is a daily struggle, we are all human and I am having a super hard time detoxing from junk, lol! I am not a gym rat or mouse, I suck at the gym. That body magic is an intense work-out, I hate to use the restroom in public, I dread the regiment of pulling and tugging...lol! Its not always easy or perfect. I always gain around the winter. So I make sure to workout more and cut down on the sweets. That usually helps me. I could go down to 130 to 140. I feel more comfortable and happy at 150. Its easy for me to maintain. I dont want my butt to shrink lol. Great video Miss Diva..take care Rachel

You will learn to LOVE the elliptical. I used to call it the machine of death and now it is my favorite. Each day just try to stay on 1 minute longer and you will be surprised how quickly your time on it will increase and how much easier it will get. Congrats on your 4 lbs!

I wanted to add to my comment. I have been around 150 pounds for the past 18 years. I have been able to maintain the same weight by eating home cooked meals. I dont eat out often. I do weight training, step machine, dancing (latin,zumba(helps with a muffin top), ballroom and bellydancing), rowing machine, pilates(helps with your core and back), yoga, boxing( helps with back fat). I also do some workout dvds when I am lazy. I have a couple of cheat meals a week. I drink lots of green tea.

The 4 pounds is probably mostly water weight, not taking away from that because thats still great. Im going through a weight loss journey also and once i got past that 5 pounds of water weight it then began hard for the pounds to shed..i was 178 and now i am 168 so yea girl! Keep up the good work!

April, I know we must go to the same gym, and I feel you on that ecliptic(spelling)...it will kill you but that burns more calories than the treadmill, did u get a chance to work with the trainer, I did and he killed me, we are at the same weight now, so I am tracking my progress with u girl!!! Workout in the body magic it actually helped me loose 66lbs I went from 220 to 160 and I had to get another one which I use now to help maintain my weight because I get full fast when I eat in it...lol and the elliptical my fav (training mode at 8ramp 10 resistance) for 1hr also do the treadmill (high ramp, low speed) because alternating tricks your body so you keep loosing lbs instead of your body getting use to one thing.

April, you look really nice, you look fresh, I don't know if it's the make up the hair or what, but you look really nice. I also started working out, I got a 7 day free trial for the gym and I'm getting my membership this week. I tried working out by myself in the house, but it didn't work. The gym really works for me and I love the zumba classes. I'll try the eliptical machine next time I'm there. Let's get healthy!!!!
