  • I think steve tries to show off a bit much...

  • Grade Science Experiment

  • 2:45 SCARED ME !!

  • Now try it with a bunsen burner.

  • self esteem is important

  • y do u guys like ballons?

  • he should have his own show lol

  • thumbs up if u jumped when it popped!

  • Wat a waste of time

  • These guys are retarded

  • @Speedy1018 u should be nicer if u dont have anything good to do or say than dont do it because other ppl have feelings too

  • Latex = prophylactic

  • water is NOT a great conductor of heat, it just has a very high heat capacity.

  • Well, yes. I suppose it is very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very cool.

  • Wtf. This was in my recommendations?

  • I did this in school

  • excelente video es muy bueno

  • uhmmm.. steve spangler why the baloon did not explode?? need your answer thanks =))

  • ahah ah ah expansion of air and particals of water with heat did i nail it i think so

  • fake i tried no luck ur a liar

  • @justkidderjkjk those balloons are latex.

  • well actually water is a terrible conductor of heat, it is really a great absorber of heat, best of any compound i believe

  • these guys hate each other.

  • i like her vidéo

  • What an irritating man.

  • how much water

  • Science Putting a new meaning to "Burn Rubber" Since 1999.

  • I laughed soo hard when he let the balloon go

  • works better with a plastic bottle because you can fill it more, to pop the balloon or melt the bottle the water will have to boil :) love science

  • When i first saw him tell you to put it on the side and it popped i flinched and hit my head on the wall hahah

  • TAP 4 OR 2 HAHAHAHAH

  • 25 people were balloons

  • Repeatedly tap 9 for ultimate lols :)

  • I like this

  • 1:34 Eeeew what does that mean!

  • cheers nerds

  • So if I drink a lot of water I can walk into a fire and not get burned?

  • I love this guy! he does so much stuff! bed of nails with baloon was cool.... the newtons beads were awesome.

  • I wanna see a how to build a water cooler for your xbox lol :D

  • Nys video i'll also try INSHALLAH

  • how come most of his expirements involve balloons?

  • dihydrogen monoxide

  • @mccaffreyshawn deadly

  • he cant even hold a balloon properly. lolz

  • Awesome

  • Press 9 repeatedly

    Giggidy :D

  • @MrAnthony72 lol that waaaas so funny

  • press 9 repeatedly. die of laughing. repeat

  • You can tell he hates the other guy. This is crap science. You wanna see some real science type in quantum levitation.

  • 1. Pause Video.

    2. Press 2.

    3. Play Video.

    4. Keep pressing 2 repeatedly.

    5. ROFL xD

  • This project is cool! :D

  • press 5 repeatedly.

    problem? *trollface*

  • someone plz help! i want 2 do this experiment 4 my required science project in school but i dont know what i would write down for the "problem" or "hypothesis" HELP PLZ!

  • @demonsdestiny14

problem: can putting a water balloon prevent it from popping when being placed over a fire?

Hypothesis: if u place the water balloon over the fire, then if will not pop because the water absorbers all the heat

  • LMFAO at 1:35

  • lol 0:43

  • this is really simple..... how could you be amazed by this :|

  • The computer i'm on is cooled this way ;)

  • did he say water is a GOOD conductor? why do you think it takes so long for it to boil?

it has no "free electrons" like a metal, therefore slowing down the process of heating it up.

  • 399,999 Viewer

  • "If it didnt't have a hole in it" *Throws it on the ground with water coming out* I bet the cleaning crew was happy with these guys!

  • Isn't that fun?

  • 0:43 he picks up a different balloon, and then uses a premade balloon for each go, i think theres something he's not telling us.

  • @minijeff16 yes that you didnt graduate elementary school

  • @minijeff16 It just fell

  • Ok People... time to boil edges in balloons

  • this is very scientific

  • cool'

  • hes talking to the guy liked hes 5 years old.

  • click continuosly 1 the "1" key you ca see he is a shotgun(sorry my bar inglish)XD

    (im italian)

  • Wow, that guy is such an idiot.

  • old people just never no when to stop talking when others are talking

  • lol self esteem is important

  • @ganaschico haha

  • Why light your candle and never use it, I think that not lighting it would be safer than safety goggles.

  • Nice exuse for not knowing how to tie a balloon.

  • I thought water was a bad conductor of heat?

  • Subbed

  • these guys like Steve waaaaaaay more than ellen does =)

  • Water is a good conductor of heat

  • The balloon flew away!

  • HOW TO THUMBS UP ?'

  • HOW TO THUMBS UP ?

  • becoz the fire knows that if it bursts a water its screwed

  • why doesnt the membrane of the baloon (as u call it) will not pop when water is in it? i want to do this as a project its cheap cool and fun so i want to do a demo at my science fair so message me or reply to this pleassse :)

  • Basic science here. The same happens if you take a plastic water bottle (Evian etc) fill it up with water and close the lid air tight. You can then throw it on a fire and leave it there and it wont melt. UK special forces use it to sterilize dirty water as it boils it in the bottle.

  • thumbs up if you think the balloons look like condoms at first :D

  • why he is always on a hury?????????????

  • Dont do this too often though as balloons are made of cheminals...

  • Oh for heavens sake isnt that cool

  • 4 & 6

  • 2:10 The guy says that the reason why the balloon does not burst is because water is a great conductor of heat. He is wrong because, the balloon membrane is a good conductor of heat and water has high specific heat.

  • ehh

  • Thumbs up if u think this is funny

  • Thumbs up if u think this is weird...

  • lol 0:53 im gonna light ur thing on fire!! lololol XD

  • he is soo BOSSY!

  • 1:35 gotta love these little subliminal messages these guys are hinting out there haha

  • keep pressing 9 for the Italian version

  • Thus water cooling was invented.

  • its like fire proof baloon

  • hi Mr.stevee~

i would like to know what kind of chem. theory is that?

  • 1. Pause Video.

    2. Press 4.

    3. Play Video.

    4. Keep pressing 4 repeatedly.

    5. ROFL xD

  • @millert1409 why not 4 and 9 4444 9999 4444999

  • @millert1409

    pressing 2,8,9 is better xD

  • @millert1409 try 9 lol :P

  • @millert1409 NAA press 1 repeatidly ... its funnier.... lol!!

  • @millert1409 Two more awesome

  • 1:35 you learn the difference between blow and suck

  • Wow survival tip.. if you stranded and have some balloons handy.. use a balloon... fill it with some river water, and boil it over your fire.. BAM sterilized water

  • its like saw for fire if you want to survive then you cant pop it

  • @SuperFunX I KNOW LOL

  • water is NOT a good *conductor* of heat. It is a good *absorber* of heat. It's specific heat capacity is hight, but conductivity is low. Metals, on the other hand, are good conductors, but poor absorbers.

  • Thumbs up if you tried this with a torch and it heated up so fast that it exploded

  • 1:35 "you learned the difference between blow and suck" hmmm what have you been up to steve spangler?

  • HAHAH AT 0:45 XD

  • ohh did i mention i know the diffrence between blow and suck o_o

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU BLINKED WHEN THE BALLOONS POPPED!!!

  • DIDNT MAKE ASSIGNMENTS JUST TO WATCH THIS

  • i do it that..COOL.

  • (muffled laugh) this is where u learn the difference between blow and suck. HAAAHAAHAA!!!

  • Does it work with other liquids too? like gasoline?

  • @TheDigitalSorceress no id doesn't it will catch on fire! Water is used because it can eliminate heat and heat can only make water evaporate!

  • you can boil water in a paper cup using the same principal

  • thats cool i wish my mom woulf let me do this

  • thats cool

  • Im gonna light your thing on fire ;)

  • cool

  • lol he said that his going to light your thing on fire XD

  • Lol, He knows the difference between blow and suck ;D

  • That was really cool. :)

  • Its cool how the water boils in the balloon.

  • I did this with a big fire I made in the back yard before i saw this. Iset the water balloon inside the fire waiting for it to pop, but it never did lol!

  • now that theres hot water in my ballons can i have a water balloon fight now?

  • even though I know it's coming, I think too quickly then it scares me!

  • 0:51 "im gonna light your thing on fire" i nearly killed myself laughing

  • I wish my news channel did this.

  • can i use this for my project?

and can you please give me the explanation?

  • @leomar467 Explanation is in the vid. The water absorbs the heat that would normally be absorbed by the plastic. So the plastic doesn't melt, so the balloon doesn't burst.

Note the air inside the balloon doesn't do the same thing. You should probably explain why in your project.

  • @leomar467 They explain it in the video.

  • i saw this on man vs wild before this with a water bottle

  • Water is not a good conductor of heat.

  • maybe he should try with a water balloon :P

  • @SuperFunX I know right?

  • "Oh no its alright, self-esteem is important" HAHAHAHAHA OMG

  • When the balloon pop on 1:10 i got scared xD haha

  • Thumbs up if you still jumped when the ballooon popped lol.

  • @crazypersonlol34 i flinched

  • cool things happen here!!

  • @SuperFunX i know right

  • 0:47 what did he mean by "it must have been from another experiment"?? 0.o

  • "you know the difference between blow and suck"

  • @XR0N4LDX no

  • lite you "thing"on fire!!!

  • Thumbs up

    Lmao :44 to :46

  • lol "ok im gonna light your thing on fire"

  • 0:43 Ops!

  • First video I see... and Subscribed!

  • yeah it does the same wit ha glass of plastic when you put in on a candle it melts and if you have water in it it doesnt it just gets black from the smoke :D

Thats the kind of stuff you do when your 5.

  • Water is a bad conductor of heat. Water carries heat through convection.

  • And that is why Survivorman had on his show a method for you to boil water in a water bottle to kill all the lovely critters.

  • The heat that comes off the candle is used to turn the water in to steam instead of making the balloon hot. Latent heat prevents change in temperature.

  • @SuperFunX i totally agree my friend intruduced me to his videos and i kept watching them

  • I like 2:45

  • i blinked each time it popped

  • 1:38 to 1:45 . Thumbs up if you laughed to death.

  • Cool Steve!!! i luve science n this just encourages me to love it more!

  • 1:34 he knows the difference between blow and suck

  • Why did I flinch

  • 0:44

    Nice job;D haha

  • yeah that "balloon" was form another experiment

  • my balloon popped and the candle got ruined because the wick got wet :(

  • 9 people blown away their balloons even after filling the water .. :P

  • Actually, you can boil water in a paper bag or a paper cup, because the water boils at 212F, whereas paper's flashpoint is 451F. The water keeps the bag cool enough that the cup doesn't catch on fire, but the cup transfers enough heat to boil the water!
