There are MANY Muslim groups actively fighting and speaking out against Islamists. You can research the Quilliam Foundation, Amman Message, Canadian Islamic Congress, Greg Mortenson's foundations just to name a few.
Think about the home of most Islamist Ideology, from the reformation days of Arabia becoming Saudi Arabia with the "help" of Abdul Wahhab (late 18th century; concurrent with American Revolution - both aiming at kicking the British outta their lands).
