I was raised by a moderate muslim family here in Sweden. I've told them I'm an atheist, they're cool with it. They didn't execute me or whatever. My parents hate Jihad, terrorism and fucked up laws in the "holy" books. They just do what's good for society =) Every muslim isn't bad, but Islam is.

I question if you even know what an algorithm is. It is largely the cumulation and synthesis of Boole, Frege, Peano, and Hilbert's earlier works. An algorithm is a systematization of procedures that derived from questions in semiotics and information flow. Often, it may use algebra, which was developed by a Muslim scholar, not by Isam as you may falsely credit, but it is not contingent on this work.
In summation, Islam had no bearing on either algorithms or computer technology.
