I love this film and think that it's one of the most overlooked and underrated Fantasy films since 2000 (along with Stardust and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen). Visual effects were decent. Nicole Kidman was stunning and very beautiful villainess. Dakota Blue Richards and Daniel Craig were great too. Hope they'll make a sequel

I love how the Alethiometer opens and Lyra's like: "What is this?" and then the Master says: It's an Alethiometer, it tells the truth." Then it sort of goes inside the Alethiometer and switches to London.

Ahhhh preferred Who is Charlie Keeper? by M Alexander and H Potter series than this. Golden compass was okay but seemed to be missing a little something something :)

Read the books, there you get also a third part and more.
But the movie is more like Chronicles of Narnia than like his dark materials.

I think the sound is off and the picture/ sound quality is not quite on tiome and is altered.

I don't know. Seems sloppy to me. The transition from Holst music to the other music is jarring. And some scenes seem either repeated or cut to quickly. Are we sure this is not fan edited?
