  • @AdoreYouInAshXI I think your full of it pal im an iraq veteran shot many firearms and got to say hi-points are a very good firearm I cc mine everyday magazines are junk but the weapon is awesome u sound like the type of shyster who is told I have a 200 dollar limit and try and upsell him a glock you want to talk junk try jiminez firearms anyways comming from an combat veteran I would trust my hi point with my life.

  • why all this trashing the hi point. Its like having a Honda or a BMW. The Honda will run for a very very long time.

  • I work at a local gun shop and range. Believe me when I tell you, there is a reason that Hi-points have a bad reputation. I've shot many of them over the last few years... new ones sent to the shop, used ones traded in, manufacturer sent "try outs". All guns have the potential to malfunction, but I have never seen this happen so often with ANY brand of guns, as I have Hi-points. Remember, just because the gun does indeed shoot bullets, dosen't make it a good gun.

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI I know, this gun is strictly for fun... That is why I have a .454 SRH Alaskan next to my night stand. youtube.com/watch?v=DP_4YqnRf0Q It won't jam and it goes through people. And the car behind them. And the building on the other side of that. And maybe another car...

  • @RodPlunger , you should of got her a pink little taurus. women luv those

  • @jaredleospirit some of the smaller taurus are sometimes hard to rack

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI what people don't realize is that its a pistol under 200 dollars....what the hell would you expect?

this is simply an inexpensive range gun, if I bought one and I had no malfunctions at the range I might just promote it to night stand gun, I certainly would never conceal carry it or even think about it.

  • @Alexn1067 I know, maybe you need to reread my statement. I didn't say it wasn't a cheap gun or wasn't simply a range gun. The ammout of times these guns malfunction don't make them worth the price tag, regardless and especially not worth the danger.

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI You must not have heard of the Jimenez or Bryco as they were later called...

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI liar Every single gun shop here in michigan has hardly ever seen or heard of a high point firearm to have as you say a bad reputation

Ur just saying there trash because u fell into the name brand trap like everyone else who says trash about a gun because its a cheaper and not as pretty built gun I own a high point c9 and never had any problems whatsoever

had it for 3 years only cleaned it 2 times its been droppped in dirt picked rite and and shot like a dream just hosed it off

  • @kurtlikesharobikes17 Just because you own a hi point that hasn't f'ed up doesn't mean my comment isn't true. I understand why you want to defend it, since you own one (is it the only gun you own) but still, hi points have a good potential to fuck up and I wouldn't have one for my single carry or home defense gun. Sure, they are cheap and fun to shoot but lets leave it at that. By the way, I am not biased against any gun, name or no name, I love all guns.

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI No sir i own a beretta 92a1 and my hi-point has stood up to it mighty fine

My friend has shot over 10.000 rounds through his hi-point c9 i have shot over 4.000 with no jams at all

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI I't makes me sick how even the gun shop owners don't realize it doesn't matter the brand of the gun it's about the owner ... a gun will jam for many reasons one of them being they dont clean their guns look at all the videos of the hi-points not jaming either millitary or gun nuts who happen to realize that a gun will not function properley if it is not cleaned properley, after every couple hundred shots it should be cleanes...I would clean it every hundred but thats just me.

  • if you have problems with ammo jaming the push plat is not moveing flush and stright down when you load the mag your makeing it go down cockeyed

  • The C9 is a good gun,i lilke mine.One thing,you called it a "magizine",pistols take Clips.AK's and the shitty AR's take magazines.Oh,and Sara is a cutie ;)

  • @RantinAndRavin Pistols like these take magazines, not clips. A clip is what you use to load a magazine, they are also called stripper clips. You can get AR clips to load AR magazines. But yes AK's and AR's do take magazines. Get your termonology right before you post ignorant comments.

  • @neospeardude Only ignorant mother fucker here is you, just shoot yourself,no room for retards like you!

  • @RantinAndRavin Look it up you piece of shit. Everybody with half a brain knows it. Your stupid ass doesnt know a damn thing, you dont know shit about guns, and your probably not even out of high school. Get your hillbilly fucking self off youtube.

  • @neospeardude Come get some faggot!

  • @RantinAndRavin Go fuck yourself you Irish twat.

  • Comment removed

  • @neospeardude I see you're from Iowa, you must fuck cows huh? Like your mom

  • @RantinAndRavin No I fuck your mom, I love the red bush.

  • @RantinAndRavin Haha. Really? You're the "only ignorant mother fucker here". He's got a point. You really do need to get your own shit straight before you go telling other people stuff. God I hate people that act like they have stuff they don't. They don't let 8 year olds have guns. Get over yourself.

  • @VXC2012 And you must be his fag lover...all you fags stick together in each others asshole..fucking queers!

  • @RantinAndRavin Lmao. You vocab is pretty intense for an 8 year old. Why do you keep talking about beastiality and being gay? Are you a gay fish?

  • @VXC2012 People that get all defensive are in the closet...YOU ARE GAY

  • @RantinAndRavin You keep talking about fags so we just assumed you were.

  • @RantinAndRavin No, I'm like Charlie Sheen. The only thing is my closet is your whore mother.

  • @RantinAndRavin Go fuck youself sand nigger.

  • @RantinAndRavin , no, all gun mags are called magazines. Only newbies call them clips.

  • you sound surprised that it didn't jam... i'd rather spend $120 on a turd

  • Just keeping it honest. I own a hi-point C9 along with many other guns and this one stays on the bottom shelf of my safe. It's just not a very good quality gun. The firing pin appears to be just a galvanized metal dowel with a lip and the magazines are incredibly rough which can lead to some feeding issues. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and for 120$ there was no reason not too. However, I never take this gun out to shoot it except when I'm testing a new reloading recipe.

  • I like Hi Points and I like Sara!! She seems like a very sweet person and like my wife, she's a good shot!

  • Good gun for a first 9mm. I own one and have shot it for about 5000 rds the last 3 years. Be a superhero. Buy her a Springfield XDM!

  • hi points can shoot straight... well fat ugly chicks can suck dick doesnt mean I want one

  • @PT92fan .......Like the Stones said, If you can't get what you want.....you get what you need.

  • if your taurus stinks maybe you should take care of it or learn to fucking shoot better. the PT92 is a mans gun. the hi point is some poorass kids first plastic piece of shit.

  • @oldgamergeek HI-Point isnt a bad company and neither is Taurus. I dont know what youre talking about when you say Taurus wont do anything they have the same life time warranty as Hi-point. I am a huge Beretta fan. I also own a Hi-Point. let me tell you Hi-Point is a fucking joke in the gun world. if youre a cheap ass then buy one by all means and have fun but dont tell me some walmart special piece of shit is nicer than a fucking taurus.

  • Hey dude I just got the hi point 9mm last weekend and it shot great also right out of the box but I do recend polishing the feed ramp

  • @tsion11 I dont disagree with you that Hi Points arent fully funtioning and some what reliable pistols my wife and I bought one for the hell of it. my wife being a cop she likes tryingout a vast array of firearms. I have to tell you though the statement "Believe me they (hi point) is better than Taurus is not only the stupidest fucking comment I've ever heard in my life but is the funniest fucking joke I've ever heard... you should think about stupid fucking statements before posting them.

  • @PT92fan My room mate had a Taurus that just plain stunk and the company DID NOTHING> HI-POINT goes out of their way to make any failure right.

  • cheap pot metal.

  • her shooting is terrible

  • Pretty woman with a not so pretty but inexpensive and reliable gun. :)

  • @AmericanStory1 What did they do that makes them fools in your mind? Seems to me like to people having a little fun.

  • I wouldn't wipe my ass with a hi-point! Only criminals buy these!

  • @Adam98671 Hi-Points are actually very good guns, when taken care of properly. I own 3, never once got a jam out of any of them. And I'm won 9mm competitions with one of them. You've never even held one have you? Believe me, they're much better then Taurus.

  • @tsion11 Yeah, your probably right. I own a couple of Rugers and like them alot, I get on YouTube and try to piss people off sometimes, I'm a internet tough guy!

  • @tsion11 I agree that they are a great firearm

especially if you dont have a boat load of money to be throwing around on a gun

    for self protection

  • @Adam9867Oh really, I own HI-POINTS and am a Licensed Minister, volunteer chaplains helper with my states Dept of corrections, have traveled as a missionary, received several awards for excellence in ministry. How does this qualify me as a criminal?

  • Sara, you are cute!!!

  • ok is this gun always that quite? or is it just this vid?

  • i think the first shot wasnt intentional...

  • What does that even mean?

  • @RodPlunger I think he means the first shot was unintentional. Glock FTW

  • @RodPlunger it means it was an accident.

  • Good shooting. I recently bought a new C9, and I think it is a very good gun. I spent 5 years in the US Army as a Combat Medic and I carried a .45 caliber and M16A1, plus having been a gun owner for years before (teens) and afterwards (I'm 40). This gun is American made quality at a great price...the only thing the gun trolls hate is thats what made AMERICA great...if it was a piece of Euro/Asian crap I'd say so,but it isn't. The Hi-Point C9 is worth buying. Period. Flame at risk...

  • Need me a girl who enjoys shooting. . .

  • the 9 is ok but 40 is real nice

  • @JGloc81 But you can't find ammo for it, and when you do it's much more expensive. 9mms are common, and ammo is easy. 40 is like finding decent 16 gauge ammo. It's practically impossible.

  • I love my hi point, I have put 600 rounds through mine, and have never had a single jam. accuracy is damn good. In the future, I would recommend cleaning the gun before shooting it the first time to get manufacturing gunk out, even if it has been factory fired.

  • @fishcatchinguntotin

finally, a great common sense comment, I agree completely, if you have no options , then more power to you all the way, great handle. I do a bit of fishing myself, but alot more gun toting, now that have had my golden clover leafs for a while, desk duty is tough, I make it to range anytime I can not to forget the smell of gunpowder and to not forget about the ones still firing their weapons in defense of this great country. God Bless The U.S.A

  • Great vid man! The C9 is a great inexpensive way to get into shooting and it's a durable defence weapon that you don't have to think much about. And, while the blowback action is awkward for shooters who are used to fancy gas assist systems, this always works :) Once she shoots this she can shoot anything! And, if she didn't take to it, you weren't out a ton of cash (although she looked great shooting it! Good stance and tons of confidence)

  • @neothespian

NO L.E.A has ever adopted or will ever adopt this failed P.O.S Prove me wrong, No LEO will EVER use this even as a back up, or home defense, GET IT? this a fun toy to shoot, thats all, For gun Newbs, who must constantly argue the quality. and the warranty. You get what you pay for, BTW 500$ glock is not for snobs, just smart middle class, (cops) while your C9 is in repair, shout warranty and see if it saves ur life, ur argument is mute, on any gun list HP ranks last, always.

  • @UrbanKnight12 this "piece of shit pistol" shoots 3 inch groups at 15 yards while is reliable as a hammer and built solid... for $150. That's according the Shootingtimes, not me.

This is the AK47 of pistols, except no compromise in accuracy (great sights + fixed barrel) as it is cheap, reliable, durable, effective and the bitter envy of every fool still paying instalments on a $500 tacti-cool semi-auto.

  • @Treblaine

funny you should mention hammer, since once it jams, because its so heavy you can use it as one to defend yourself. LOL. AK huh? funny I dont see this P.O.S. any where else in the world. you show what a newb you are by comparing the most revolutionary and famous assault rifle in history still used by most arrmies, to a toy NO ARMY would ever consider, thanks newb, it made me laugh, I guess pontiac grand am is just as good as Lexus G300. Can you tell an apple from an orange? LMAO

  • @JackSureshot

Straight blowback is inherently reliable as it is self-extracting with way fewer working parts, and it has performed as much (title of ShootingTimes' review: "Basic but oh so reliable") It's also only 32 ounces (lighter than M1911 or M92F). That's why Hi Points design impresses me, it tries a radically DIFFERENT design and approach. Less is more.

Comparison with AK47 was not over relative success but genius of design in offering incredible performance:cost ratio.

  • please spend a little bit more and get her a trustworty gun, you dont want that piece of shit failing her in an emrgency, being cheap up front, may cost you much more than money in the end. a 38 spcl would be more reliable.good luck.

  • @JackSureshot haha, ok. i'm a lineman and i only made $70,000 last year. i'm so poor! it's little GI bitches like you that give us a bad name and make people like me stomp little dicks like yours into the dirt. i obviously don't give a fuck about class. the power that you're using on your little laptop to try to be-little me is turned on by motherfuckers like me. only thing you do is put on a uniform and ACT like you do something. i hope your son doesn't turn out to be a bitch like you.

  • @ilovechipotle85

70 grand and you still short money, and cant get a real gun? probably a degenerate gambler, or an alcoholic, or maybe a heroin addict since money goes so fast. you would never make it in the military anyways, you are a sad sad human being. Anyone in the Armed forces including the women are more of a man than you will ever dream to be. U R a lying poor, pathetic, loser and still ignorant BTW and this GI has more money and better weapons, and far more training than you. LMAO

  • @ilovechipotle85 You sound more like trailer trash who won't see 70 grand in a lifetime of welfare checks!

  • @JackSureshot

Prove to me where a HP has critically failed and killed someone? There are plenty of Glocks that have failed in police officer hands. And there are pics of critical Glock failures all over. So far only ONE pic of a "failed" HP has ever shown up on any gun forum and that was proven to be faked. HP has an unconditional, no questions asked warranty for life. Glock does not. Not saying Glock is bad, but if it's so "untrustworthy", they sure put alot of faith in what they sell

  • @JackSureshot you're a fool if you think "expensive" means the same thing as "trustworthy".

Hi Points are NOT THE SAME as glocks, SIGs and so on, they use a completely different design; straight blowback. Self-extracting, few working parts, fixed barrel (the only machined part).

A revolver is held back by the expense in machining 5-6 separate chambers for the cylinder, then needing a strong frame + and the complex lockwork. A straight blowback pistol by design gives more bang for your buck.

  • Dude you kind of look like Todd Jarret

  • Did Sara have any formal training? The reason I ask is because she has a good stance, two hand hold, and great control. She shoots well.

  • @WATCHINBEAR < No, that was the first pistol she had ever shot... Did you see my other video with her shooting the SRH Alaskan?

  • No I dont believe I have seen it; I'll check it out.

  • @WATCHINBEAR and she kept the gun pointing foward while looking back lol..

  • and she kept the gun pointing foward while looking back lol..

  • good choice! Hi point is THE BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!

  • why sara why? hipoint??? NOOOOOO!

  • whats wrong with hipoint besides there heavy and ugly and dont hold many rounds.

  • I'll Bite... So what do you mean?

  • don't listen to bc5620. he's a tool and doesn't know what he's talking about.

  • @ilovechipotle85 lool oook. It has happened to a few people. Im not sure how often it happens but i know this is not the best gun out there rofl.

  • of course its not the best gun out there. you get what you pay for, but for the price of a hi-point, its not a bad gun at all. just like any other gun, if you take care of it, it'll last. it does come with a lifetime warranty though if you need to send it back for any reason. they'll replace it with a brand new one, no questions asked. can't beat that.

  • @ilovechipotle85 Haha true true. thats pretty legitimate. But I will stick with saving for a kimber xD

  • yea i hear ya. there are other guns i'd LOVE to get, but got other priorities right now.

  • @ilovechipotle85

what good ia lifetime warranty when you have to constantly ship it at your expense ack and forth with no other fire arm for her? i own over 20 handguns, LOTS OF MONEY, i could buy 10 hi points with the money I spent on one SIG, would I ever? NEVER. hope you realize this sooner than later, quality in a fire arm and reliability is the ONLY thing that matters, 500 bucks for a glock is a lot cheaper than a funeral god forbid.

  • @JackSureshot can you read? "back and forth"?? i've NEVER had one problem with my hi-point. i was just saying that it came with a lifetime warranty. if you were such the expert, you'd know that a hi-point is a good firearm. do a little research and climb on down from that high horse of yours, bub.

  • @ilovechipotle85

lifetime warranty on? famous last words. some folks just cant be reasoned with or take constructive criticism, good luck when it fails you when you need it most , you might get a brand new gun from the company but a life and world of hurt has no return policy, unfortunately it seems you opted to let someone else use it for defense, so if something goes wrong it would be on your head, high horse has nothing to do with it I guess you dont know any LEO's to tell to better.

  • @JackSureshot hey dipshit, go back and read my past comments before opening your suckhole. i was saying that for the money, a hi-point isn't a bad firearm and it having a lifetime warranty doesn't hurt. i mean shit, if money wasn't an option i'd get a fuckin glock or sig or taurus or kimber, but thats beside the issue. douchebag bigots like you can't seem to read and thrive on starting arguments on youtube. silly shit.

  • @ilovechipotle85

no wonder money is an issue for u, profanity shows no class. I can teach a 5 year old to curse someone out, but then they will turn out like you, poor, angry, uneducated and so ignorant, they actually would believe cursing on you tube or even in real life makes them tough guys and makes a point. profanity just shows your ignorance, I have known many like you in Iraq who cursed to seem brave and badass only to pissed their pants during the first firefight. good luck tough guy

  • @JackSureshot You blind? He just said he's never had a problem with Hi-point.

I don't think you understand the meaning of a lifetime warranty, it shows how much confidence the manufacturer has in their product. If they knew most of their pistols would fall to pieces after average use then they would NEVER offer to repair/replace it for free no-questions-asked.

  • @JackSureshot

Funny, I've seen plenty of Glocks jam. My C9? Well, it's not going to impress gun snobs at the range, but at $160 and ZERO FTF's in nearly 5,000 rounds so far I'm not complaining. Besides, at the end of the day the gun is only as good as the shooter. You can spend thousands on a gun but if you're not competent with it, it's still crap. And, no matter how much the gun costs, you're still shooting the same 15 to 25 cent bullet the rest of us are. At least mine hit every time

  • @neothespian

put your money where your mouth is, go 300 rounds non stop and post it. we aleady know glocks and Sigs go over 1000 rounds non stop, plenty of vids on that. so get to it. BTW, There are only 3 brand of guns approved unanimously by ALL private security agencies around the world, Sigs, Glocks, HK's. these are the experts on quality, dependability and durability. sadly you guys dont get it, a self defense gun is the ONE thing you should not take a gamble to save a few bucks. truly sad

  • @JackSureshotI love my hi point, I have put 600 rounds through mine, and have never had a single jam. accuracy is damn good. I say that a good quality cheap gun is better than no gun, which for some people are their only two options.

  • question, does the slide on your gun stay back after you pull the slide...this is if you have a empty mag in the gun? Also, I heard some one said the gun will not fire if you don't have a magazine in the gun (they said you won't be able to pull the trigger) I found this to be false in my case...how about u?

  • There is a mag-hold open on my (newer) C9. I don't think the old ones did. You have to have a mag in it to fire and on the last round it holds open. There is a safety that prevents you from firing without a mag in. Even putting the mag halfway in will allow you to pull the trigger back (not recommended). I've never had mine jam yet. I have the newer style with the loaded chamber indicator on the side and its a two-tone. I'm sure the one he is using is even newer than mine.

  • Yes

    and

    Yes

If you found that to be false send your gun back to hipoint

  • a bit late , I've gotten rid of it...I just don't like the quality of it...the slide feels like it's made of pot metal from a skillet...but I guess if you can't afford a nice gun this would be an good option...I am looking into berettas

  • whats the trigger pull on that thing like??

  • has the gun had any probs yet

  • It does jam some. I am pretty sure it is the magazine that causes it though. It has decreased as the spring has softened. Also, if you tap the mag after you fill it, it seems to shoot cleaner. But, otherwise, we like it. It's accurate, smooth, and shoots...

  • So, we shot the thing again this weekend. I am now a firm believer that the jamming in the gun is caused by the magazine. We did not have one jam this last time, as we took care to tap the clip to set the rounds before firing the C-9. We also were shooting Blazer ammo instead of Winchester, but I believe the probs are in the magazine and it needing to break in.

  • I agree, the magazines suck. I had to send mine back, but they still have problems with feeding. Hi-point told me not to use Winchester specifically, Blazers work pretty well.

  • Good video man, Just watch out for the Avalanche.

  • @fuzion1701 After about the first 200 rounds and spreading the top of he mags just a little bit my C9 has no problems with jamming. I've put over 5000 rounds through it and it's still a champ.
