my brother & sister were recognizing their names by that age. its not really reading, just recognizing the letters put together, or even the first letter.
it is not impossible. my sister works at a daycare and there are several 3 and 4 year olds that can read. the secret is putting labels on EVERYTHING (books,chairs,crayons,tables,paper,etc) and eventually they begin recognizing words and alot of those kids at the school can read at age 4 because of the labels and pictures everywhere

I don't think they can read they tell by the colour and just guess is what i think. They're 3 they can' read yet.
