Budgies who don't have other budgies to pal around with adopt humans into their 'flock' just fine, as long as they're cared for well - and from how happy Sven looks, I'd say he's cared for just fine!

i've noticed in all your videos sven likes to use his feet to hold things rather than his beak, i think HE thinks they're his hands like human hands, lol been watching people alot

Sven is very cute! He reminds me of my budgie, Mikko. He loves to play and yabber to himself at the same time.

Sven is a little cutie. =) how old is Sven? I'm going to get a Budgie pretty soon...so I'm watching all the videos on budgies. I want to teach mine to talk. =)

Sven is about 1.5 years old now - in human years!

Make sure you get a baby bird, about 3 weeks old. Hand feed it several times a day, and talk to it constantly. Keep talking to it while it switches from baby food to real food ~ and after a few months you will have a happy, flying and talking bird.

With both the birds I have had, the key to helping them develop a nice personality, and an interest in talking, was to get them very young.
