Your Welcome!! I loves this kind of bee!! I make nesting blocks for them. It will be very cool to see them emerge!!! You can make a block for them too!

Wonderful! Around what month do they emerge?  Do you make the nesting block the same way you would for solitary bees --- say, by drilling holes in a piece of wood of a prescribed width and length?

I saw them during the summer like June- August. yes the blocks are the same. I actually descovered them by making a sample block for mason bees. I used all different widths of drill bit but I will have to double check the measurment. When you drill just drill until there is about 1cm left from the back to the inside of the tunnel.

She lays multiple eggs in one hole. She collects pollen, makes a pile of it, then lays an egg on it, and then closes off the cell. She will do this many times depending on how big the tube is.
