  • there is one missing ingredient. Gravity. with a gravitational field we can control fusion in a bottle jst dial up the gravitons and increase the pressure

  • @ikoronduka Gravity confinement is only achieved on the Sun. Not possible on Earth. There are two other confinement methods, one shown in the vid above (magnetic toroidal field coils in torus) and inertial confinement consisting of infra red lasers. High temperatures for long period of time, at high Density (not pressure) is the conditions needed. A container will only contaminate the hydrogen fuel.

  • There is a missing basic ingredient: "massive Pressure" around the weight of at least 1300000 earths combined to crush and split hydrogen atoms into helium, in this case we might as well use the earth's Core as the ultimately renewable source of energy.

  • @worldwildwest Im sorry lol, but in fusion, nothing is being split, other than a neutron that is propelled from one of the Deuterium atoms during the fusion reaction. I think you might be getting confused with Fission, which IS splitting of an atom's nucleus of HEAVY matter. There are around 300 fission reactors in the world. Plasma confinement is problem that can't be solved.

  • FFS why are so many ITER docus with a neutral voice get deleted and only with the britisch acsent left! cant stand it but want to learn

  • @MrTimothytim You think we like your accent? Fuck off and don't learn, you don't deserve it!

  • @MrFenn88 my acsent... righhhhhht besides that i dont have one your being irrational i acsept that about 0.16 procent of the world population has this acsent and thats fine but to many docus are made with ti even while they have noting to do with the 0.16% and i dont deserve to learn cuz i dont like that acsent i c so your not just being nationalistic unright fully frustrated at me but it has also drivn you to discriminate me aha

  • whoever monopolizes this industry will rule the world.

  • why can't some people pronounce nuclear? it's n-u-c-l-e-a-r.....

    not n-u-c-y-o-u-l-a-r!!!! good vid though!

  • I have a good feeling about nuclear fusion, i really do. If we can master it, well i think the world will be a better place.

  • Can she Vermont, and learn about how nature does nuclear fusion

  • Nature is four of nuclear fusion

  • so called 30 years before we get that....

the global economic problems will increase the years of waiting.....

  • Holy fuck 150 million degrees, and can reach over 200 million. Thats the hottest...thing ive ever heard of, thought of, or ever think of having. I feel hot thinking about it.

Thats also the most times ive ever said hot in a sentence.

What kinda crazy-ass camera is inside that machine filming that?DAHMN.

  • You don't nead super heat and billions to get nuclear fusion energy. Star Scientific have the solution for our energy problems. Check out their youtube video "In the Footsteps of Fusion"

  • No Touhou?

The spherical thermonuclear combustion chamber is formed from two joined semispherical parts. The feeding with fuel and electromagnetic filed flux it make through the oriffices from the central part of the semispheres, and the emergence in outside to the electromagnetic field flux it make through the maximum zone, where is joined the semispheres. The two high-speed motors are rotated in the same sense for to establishes a direct electric field between collectors.

  • SandustanBrasov

This reactor has spherical combustion chamber, with inner magnetic trap, with the electromagnetic field realized outside and introduced inside the sphere with electromagnetic field and fuel introduction device, and direct colected possibilitys of electrcal energy, with semispherical collectors. The device of introduction is composed from: 1).-two high-speed motors with plasmatron in its central zone; 2).-two magnetic circuits for leading the electromagnetic field flux.

  • SandustanBrasov

Thus, with a sure magnetic trap, without switchs of heat and with the direct extraction to the electrical energy=to the particles of electrical ether, it can pass direct at the final phase of obtaining to the commercial controlled thermonuclear reactor. I consider that the price of research and realization in this case, can be of at least 10 times more small than the actual ITER project, and separated can be realized of many countries.

  • SandustanBrasov

I turn the globe of plasma for to realize the magnetohydrodynamic principle of directly extraction of the particles of current(electrical ether). The atoms of helium after formation can pass through the texture of the magnetic trap as residue. The electromagnetic field of the magnetic trap must let enter with power for to space out, to press, and turn with 800 m/s the globe of plasma and afterwards fastly let go outside.

  • SandustanBrasov

Feeding a superconductive coil with an electrical current it obtain in the her round only a magnetic field. But disposing in the round of the superconductive coil a certain magnetic and dielectric pieces, it obtain the variation of the electrical permitivity and of the magnetic permeability, which will transform the magnetic field of the superconductive coil in electromagnetic field, which can evolve(go) more faraway in space, without to close immediately the curl.

  • • SandustanBrasov

I have invented not these opinions. I have made only o logical, rational and intuitive synthesis, heaving at base, in majority experimental, observed and demonstrated arguments. I have not something against the ITER, but against the utopian conceptions from the theoretical physics, with which are indoctrinated those 3000 of engineers anf physicists involved in the realization of the thermonuclear controllable fusion.

  • • SandustanBrasov

In the magnetic trap of the tokamak it produce only magnetic field which it maintain in the round of the coil, without to fulfil the role of magnetic trap. The electromagnetic field can evolve(go) in space and in the interior of one spherical chamber, can be weaved in order to form a stratified network, which let hold the particles of the thermonuclear plasma.

  • • SandustanBrasov

The texture of toroidal, poloidal or stellarator magnetic field is too rare for to form a magnetic trap. The magnetic trap must let be one electromagnetic stratified wall with weaved at entrance and with disweaved at emergence. The magnetic wall of the magnetic trap is a wall with formation and continuous displacement.

  • • SandustanBrasov

The Sun has two sorts of magnetic fields:1)-the principal magnetic field of the solar magnetosphere which dress the solar mass;2)-the secondary magnetic fields which pass through the whirligig tubes by one hemisphere in another. Because the rotation of the solar mass the lines of the secondary magnetic fields are not parallel with the lines of the principal magnetic field, are adjacent and form at surface of the Sun a texture of magnetic lines as a magnetic wall.

  • • SandustanBrasov

Naw, the ITER can not be makerstars, because the his specialist know not how work the Sun with his principal components. In outside of incandescent solar mass exist: principal magnetic field(solar magnetosphere with magnetic trap); secondary magnetic fields(made by the whirl's tubes); radiations belt, The "butterfly" dyagram(with solar spots position in the ends of the whirl's tubes, which pass through the solar mass); whirl's tubes pressure; magnetic pressure by principal..

  • • SandustanBrasov

The conditions of thermonuclear controlled fusion: temperature, concentration, confinemant and duration - can not obtained never in a tokamak installation, because the her incapacity of the magnetic trap, which can not dress and surround whole the thermonuclear plasma. The plasma can not be restrained, can not be maintained and thus can not be heating. Till now 2011 it confined not the plasma on the tokamak instalations.

  • • SandustanBrasov

Through divertor it remove the impurities from the chamber of thermonuclear combustion and it consider the single zone where the plasma is leted free let touch the walls. Really is good? Really is logical this construction? If will be not existed the solar magnetosphere with the her magnetic trap as let dress complete the incandescent solar mass, then the our planet can burn and remain without water.

  • • SandustanBrasov

The Sun show us how it prepare and how it produce the thermonuclear reaction, and the resonant generator of the Tesla show us how it can extract the electricity - the particles of the electrical ether, without to utilize the switchs of heat. The ethereal explanation of the phenomenon is necessary because in outside of electricity=electrical ether, all ethereal substances are: the electrons, the inductive magnetic field, as and the electrical field.

  • • SandustanBrasov

My brethren, You have capacity of to construct the thermonuclear controlled reactor, only that you must needs let construct something functional. The tokamak were invented in the 1950s by physicists Igor Tamm and Andrei Sakharov inspired by idea of to Oleg Lavrentyev, when he studyed the realization of the hydrogen bomb, which has not need of magnetic trap, and thus, all the experiments were finished with the destruction of the tokamak installations in the central zone.

  • SandustanBrasov

It can direct extract the real electrical loads: particles of electrical ether from spherical chamber of thermonuclear combustion, without utilization the switchs of heat. The extraction of particles of electrical ether it make with the help of the electromagnetic field, such as the resonant generator of the Tesla or any dynamo or allternator.

  • SandustanBrasov

My planetary brethren and you physicists, engineers and men of science let's awaken at reality, at knowledge, at wisdom and let's pass at the construction the thermonuclear controlled reactors, reactors with spherical chamber after Sun model; which can not be dangerous, not even for those which serve these installations.

  • SandustanBrasov

In the case of the thermonuclear explosion it produce suddenly - in a few fractions of second, a big quantity of particles of the electrical ether, which in the them entirely produce the electromagnetic impulse accompanyed immediately of the wave of shock, especially an ethereal wave of shock, what shake the ethereal mass from the round of the explosion and the ethereal mass from the bodies meeted in one's way, destroy them on a ray of many kilometres.

  • • SandustanBrasov

The electromagnetic impulse which act about the electrical installations, is, in reality, an electromagnetic radiation - is the real electrical load, constituted from particles of the electrical ether, which can circulate through the circuits of the our electrical installations. These particles proceed from the reaction of the thermonuclear explosion, and are the flaw of mass, of the reaction. These must let capture us, direct without to utilize none switch of heat.

  • SandustanBrasov

In the case of the one thermonuclear explosion it produce a colossal escape of light, of heat, an electromagnetic impulse and wave of shock. The light it see and burn, but immediately appear the electromagnetic impulse, what block the electrical installations; and afterwards immediately appear the wave of shock which it transmit with a speed of 22 times more great than a speed of the sound, which mean that vibrate the air and the ethereal mass in which exist us.

  • SandustanBrasov

My brethren: physicist and engineers of the ITER, I say to you a personal opinion about the real electrical load. This because you believe not, that it can direct extract the electrical energy from one controllable thermonuclear reactor, without none switch of heat. Let take a practical example. of explosion of the one thermonuclear bomb - an example which it was realized of many times and on which some understand it, and others not.

  • SandustanBrasov

As following of the thermonuclear reaction from Sun, the Sun is a giant powerstation of electromagnetic energy, a powerfull source of electricity which keep up the life of every where from his planetary system. This electrical ether which come from Sun, we gather him with our electrical generators and drive our industry. This electrical ether is absorbed and of the our bodies and of any creature, - electrical ether which keep and animate the our existence.

  • • SandustanBrasov

The electrical ether- for example- proceed from magnetic field from atoms, eliminated in following combination of the deuterium with tritium in helium. The eliminated magnetic field it decompose in particles of electrical ether in chamber of thermonuclear reaction.Any chemical combination eliminate this electrical ether. But at the chemical combination the chemical elements which participate at reaction can not to be magnetic isolated because they it combine before to be ionized

  • sandustanBrasov

    • The magnetic field from the round of the conductor is created completely from particles of electrical ether, magnetic coupled, head at head and expelled in the round of the conductor at the rotation of the electrons. If it interrupt the electrical current, then it retire and this magnetic field from the round of the conductor and it drain and the particles of electrical ether which was packed in these electrons.

  • sandustanBrasov

    • When the electrical generator work it make two operation: 1).-with a part from electrical ether gathered it charge and it move the electrons of conductions in the surface of the helix what traverse the inductive magnetic field, establishing the electrical field in the long of the circuit and 2).-with other part of electrical ether gathered, it load the zone of magnetic field from the round of the conductor.

  • sandustanBrasov

    • How it obtain these particles of the electrical ether? For example, with dynamos and alternators it gather the electrical ether from the environing medium. The gathering and the condensation of the particles of electrical ether it make with the help of the inductive magnetic field when the electrical generator work. Here has place and the transformation a one part of particles of electrical ether in particles of the magnetic field from the round of the conductor.

  • sandustanBrasov

The real electrical load is an electromagnetic particle, which it move length of one conductor turning. The electrical field is a field of particles of electrical ether, free or with a certain density and it move in rigth line. The magnetic field from the round of one conductor is constituted from particles of the electrical ether, but is,magnetic coupled head at head, and it move on a curve forming circles in the round a one conductor.

  • SandustanBrasov

    • The electricity is the total of phenomenons produced of the electrical loads in motion or in repose. The electron is not an electrical load, but an elementary particle from the composition of any atom, and is only a particle with intermediate role in the unfolding of the electrical phenomenons. The real electrical load is a particle of electrical ether - of ethereal matter.

  • SandustanBrasov

Proof of the existence of the ETHER with the his unseen matters are: the transmission of the electromagnetic waves at radio-TV and the extraction of the ethereal electrical particles with the resonant Tesla generator. The electrical discharge of one atmospheric lightning, or to the resonant Tesla generator under shape arborescent, demonstrate the trial of the electrical loads-ethereal or electronic of to penetrate the material compact structure of the universal ETER.

  • SandustanBrasov

Through the ethereal explanation the electrical generators(electrical accumolators, dynamos and alternators, thermoelements and photoelectric cell) we see that they not transform, nothing, but only gather the electrical energy, gather the electrical ether existent in metals, in the environing medium, in the thermic radiation, in the ray of light, or in the thermonuclear reaction of the ITER.

  • @dkoribag1

It's true we need more support in this field of science. Some people seem to believe that fusion a pie-in-the-sky scenario (ironically, they are not even versed a field of science most of the time) , but research has proven fusion to be viable in the near future.

There are a handful of active fusion test reactors and plans for demonstration plants, but more capital needs to be invested to hurry along research.

I hope you are successful, seriously.

  • heh heh, the guy says "nuke-ular".

    "IT'S F***IN' NUCLEAR! NU-CLE-AR!" -Billy Connolly

  • And here we are, still fighting and ruining the world for fossile fuel....

  • On the earth we C nuclear fusion from water

  • Here's My solution, Solar Technology Coupled with Nikola Teslas Wireless Power Transmission (NOT 1975 NASA GOLDSTONE Wireless Energy Transfers) but the ACTUAL Work Dr. Nikola Tesla did in near 100 percent Wireless Energy Transfer through the Earths Magnetic-Ionosphere. 1 single transmission tower properly built could provide endless amounts of energy-horsepower to ANYONE in "Listening Distance" of the "Radio Station" metaphorically speaking, slap up antennas on top of Straw Huts in Africa :D

  • I am a 25 year old caltech graduate in theoretical physics and currently work at UCF academy of sciences, and its an inside joke in our community when talking about "the Hunt" for nuclear fusion using current standard physics models because its bogus and completely incorrect, The truth of the matter is if they would Invest 1 percent in relatively barbaric technology to harness the Suns Nuclear "Fusion" reactor it would End ALL pollution caused by fossil fuels in the Entire World. Period

  • must i say that imitation is the highest form of flattery

well, in my best ronals reagan, well,

solar winds are where it's at.

not earth solar power nor windpower, but neither and both...

simpy harness the solar winds, foot upon the sail shoulder to the wheel

  • I wrote an essay on fusion. I reckon it explains this topic better than national geographic. Unfortunately youtube won't let me put a link in here, so if anyone's interested, go to my youtube channel and follow the link in my details to my personal website. It should be the first post you see "Fusion the sun in a bottle."

  • How would it "generate" the energy actually.

I mean yeah they can genarate a 150million degrees plasma ring.

And i know you should end up with Helium and one Neutron.

And that u will get Neutron + energy and Helium + energy

But in what form will this "energy come" heat? i dont have a clue

  • @reistje

High energy neutrons pass through magnetic fields, and heat up heat exchanger.

  • @jeaqman yeah i allready found out but thanks for answering.

  • what about the metal ,wont it melt at that temperature ?

  • @DEATH94SQUAD The chamber is lined with powerful magnets that repeals the plasma and its heat from the metal housing.

  • through nuclear fusion, 2 gallons of water and 5 stones can generate energy that can supply the energy needs of one family for a year...

    imagine that!

plus, nuclear fusion does not release radiation and it can be stopped whenever necessary unlike our current nuclear power plants

  • did he just say"like any star in the solar system"uh there is only 1 star in our solar system.also they said it will take 30 years before we see this echnology in widespread use, your telling me that if they increased the budget to 5 times what it is now we cant get that time frame reduced to at least 15 years ,if not less

  • When was this experiment done, anyone knows ?? He said something about another 30 years to having one. I think it's just around the corner. ;)

  • In Chem II (college) I decided I'm going to major in Nuclear Engineering. It is an extremely fascinating subject.

  • WHAT LAGUAGE IS THE SUBTITLE?

  • Life on earth gets its energy from nuclear fusion on water. Your heart does it every time it beats.

  • Life is four of the release of gamma wave radiation from the turbulent flow of steam or high pressure water: there is no chemical source of its nuclear radiation. The we also see the production of helium, which is only a produced by nuclear actions

  • nucelar?

    WTF?!

  • The natural world is full of molecular nuclear fusion

  • @JonThm No it does not.....

  • All life on earth produces helium and gamma wave radiation as it does molecular nuclear fusion

  • Nature turns water into helium, oxygen, and heat. No carbon dioxide, no toxic fission waste

  • @JonThm Those are CHEMICAL processes not NUCLEAR..... get an education.

  • their guns? NFL and MLB stadiums partially funded by taxpayers? A drug war which we can never possibly hope to win? The money spent on space exploration and fusion research over the years, compared with the rest of the budgets, is miniscule.

And finally, to those who would argue the money would be better spent on disease research...if you believe pollution is at all responsible for negative health impacts...if we can make fusion work, maybe we can reduce the number of people getting cancer

  • uala, and the Middle East for what powers its economy...be that food, or energy. Though it has been under investigation for fifty years, fusion holds a lot of promise as new technologies come online. Besides, what is more of a bargain for taxpayer money to you? Personally, I think if you would have come upon Watt's drawings three hundred years ago, you would have said...

And we would have had no industrial revolution, and, thereby, none of the oil and coal you referred to in your previous post. • On earth we do fusion from water

  • @JonThm no we dont. we do it with h2 and h3/he3. it doesnt matter where they came from.

  • @brizihe nature does fusion from water all around and in us. You can take your pulse with a Geiger counter as your beating heart does molecular nuclear fusion

  • @JonThm Well we aren't nature are we? We're only a part of it.

  • Respond to this video... SandustanBrasov

The test for nuclear fusion realisation on Tokamak's installations and with LASER cannot bring anything new for the energetics' future. I bind the thermonuclear controlled reactor schedule by the Sun model , by the reactive electromagnetic motor schedule from Palenque stone's tombe. You see the my project for thermonuclear controlled reactor.

  • i wonder when this will become widely used if so all of our energy problems are solved indefenitely whats the yield if anyone knows?

  • What Episode Is This

  • What Episode Is This

  • Molecular nuclear fusion is safe power

  • intresting

  • So I was thinking "Whoa, humans could really create something that mimics the sun". When there's intelligence like humans, who are able to manipulate and act upon matter in a way that mimics the sun, makes me think "Well, how did the sun get there when it's so far superior to the fusion experiments"? Intelligence acted upon the sun's matter. How could something like the sun that has so much energy simply be "poofed" into existence when it takes so much knowledge to come up with nuclear fusion?

  • @BadHairsRevenge1981

"Intelligence acted upon the sun's matter"

*No, the sun just has enough weight to make it's fusion automatic and self-sustained (humans do not have the benefit of 100,000,000,000 atmospheres of pressure automatically creating and sustaining their experiment). In summation its a bitch for humans but automatic for an ungodly large super condensed ball of hydrogen.

    "'poofed' into existence"

*Stars do not just poof into existence...

  • @peepdust why do creationists watch science videos if they are just going to make noise? jesus that's anoying.

  • @blahbl4hblahtoo believe me mate, jesus is more annoyed with those narrowminded idiots than you are.

  • Fucking idiots. How do you spell "Nuclear"?? Why do morons insist on following that Dumbass George W Bush and keep pronouncing "Nooqular"??

  • Am I the only one bothered by the narrator and his gratuitous mispronunciation of NU-CLE-AR?

  • Lightning does molecularf nuclear fusion from water

  • a tokamak

  • i want to be a nuclear engineer!!

  • Bullshit this will never come to anything. Coal, oil and gas are the best fuel options, the technology is here now, no need to waste spending on this pie in the sky.

  • @rebublicanpower If you're going to be a fail troll, at least spell "Republican" properly.

  • @IssekPatior Another user had that name dick head.

  • @rebublicanpower hahah best come back EVER

  • @rebublicanpower but coal, oil and gas causes a lot of pollution that are destroying the world as well as causing wars and problems across the world. Besides we may run out of oil soon.

  • @rebublicanpower and what will we do when the oil, coal, and gas is all used up, less than a hundred years to.

    sorry.

  • they created fusion ! why does it need another 30 years find things out ?

    its just bullshit

  • @drdfreak they have to make sure it ist he safest possible

  • @drdfreak

Because the government is probably involved in it. Since when does the government get in anything done anyway?

  • @drdfreak currently, fusion requires a higher energy input to create an output which is lower than the input. By 2019 or 2020, we will be seeing if this method can create a larger energy output than input through the experimental ITER reactor created and funded by big nations across the world.

  • No radioactivity

  • fusion from water

  • Nice upload even Dutch subtitles :D

  • NERF the sun! its WAAAy OP!! :@

  • lol @ nation geographic, its so obviously not, don't you watch your own videos? :p

  • Nucular? For fuck's sake Discovery Channel. That's just embarrassing.

  • how do they capture the energy that fusion creates?

  • @GDon141 different mechanisms for nuclear fusion have different ways of harnessing it. At NIF who use lasers to power fusion, a blanket surrounds the reactor and as the hot neutrons collide with the blanket, molten salt is heated up on the other side which boils water driving a turbine... of course this method has its own problems which need overcoming but NIF are the first guys to create more energy than was needed

  • this is discovery channel not national geographic

  • hundreds of billions of dollars worth of cheap energy

  • Why don't they just inject Boron in to sustain the reaction like Ronald Richter did with his plasma experiments in 1951 ?

Is that a dumb question or are they already doing it?

  • Why don't they just inject Boron in to help sustain the reaction just like Ronald Richeter did at Nahuel Huapei in 1951?

  • Why don't they just inject Boron into it to sustain the reaction like Ronald richeter did?

  • E=mc2 =) 30 grams of hydrogen is enough to blow the white house

  • @quangluu96 Have the FEDS come for a visit yet?

  • A helix can induce nuclear fusion

  • if i was bill gates, i would support them with 65% of what i have

  • This document is so much crude I can not tell so much.

The problem is that it is almost impossible at this time to get a plasma to keep stable in a magnetic field. The moment a plasma hits the side of the torus, then the plasma will damage the machinery and collapse. Thus, the energy is not economic viable rightnow. Maybe in 100 years there willl be better physics models used to help generate stable plasma

  • @WordsInAction465 Try like, ten years. We already have a fusion plant called JET, and it produces about 65% of its input power. ITER comes online in 2010, and is expected to produce ten times its input power.

  • WTF! its not 1,000,000 times more efficient than fission! They cant even get it to break even! its not efficient at all...

  • The word is Nuclear, pronounced new klee are or new clear.

    Not Nucular.

    Please.

  • Wow! I cant believe that I never heard of this.

  • I don't fully understand how nuclear fusion can provide us "energy?"

I mean how on Earth could we contain plasma gas, and develop a system of transporting huge amounts of energy to each and every lightbulb and AC unit.

It sounds impossible, but who knows

  • @rhcp4565 Maybe by first transforming the fusion energy to electricity and then transporting the electricity?

  • @rhcp4565 The electricity infrastructure is already there. Fusion power plants would replace, e.g., coal, oil, nuclear fission etc, plants. All of these power plants act the same way, generate energy to heat water to steam which drives turbines creating electricity.

  • @AintNothingButAThang yea ur totally right, thanks man!

  • @rhcp4565 The energy is distributed as electricity - just like from a coal fired plant or a fission reactor. Its extracted from the reactor by having a cooling jacket around the reactor to take away the heat generated.

  • @jesterinflames HAHAHAHA! =( true

  • @photolitherland ur nans tits

  • Lightning does nuclear fusion: Power with no CO2

  • Kaaaaboooom!

  • Life deos nuclear fusion from water: Nobel please

  • Comment removed

  • Do fusion from water - like nature does!

  • Nukelar? They could have at least go someone who could pronounce NUCLEAR!

  • the deep does fusion

  • Hahaha righttt. And how much energy does it take for you guys to heat those hydrogen atoms up? Hmmm?

  • Did he say 'nucular?'

  • that guy with the dreads looks like he is about to have it all worked out. lol. to bad i make Fusion in my sleep. plasma filled copper tubes in water makes steam turbines turn. it's like child's play. they don't want you to know the truth.

  • LKife does fusion from water

  • does anybody know why nuclear fusion produces large amount of energy?

  • @photolitherland There is very little plasma in the reactor, so it takes less energy than you are imagining, It is heated by 3 primary mechanisms: 1. Ohmic (electrical resistance, think laptops getting hot). 2. RF heating (exciting different resonances using em radiation, i.e. like microwave ovens) and 3. Neutral beam injection (firing high energy neutrons into the core).

  • @AintNothingButAThang what material can sustain 150 mil degrees?

  • @zaphr89 The plasma is held using magnetic fields in a vacuum chamber.

  • @AintNothingButAThang Yeah, i actually looked it up on wikipedia because i had my doubts about something sustain that high temperature. Magnetic fields containing plasma, sounds pretty scifi, doesn't it? :)

  • @photolitherland It's not that hard really, once you get a small amount of fusion going it's self-sustaining.

  • Are both ways of saying nuclear right?
