For those that were asking, we have around 15 to 20 trail rides around the country on any given weekend. Most organised by country schools as fund raising events, utilising donated farm land and forestry tracks. Generally, family friendly tracks for all ages and skills. And then of course there are the more serious trail rides and x-country events as well.

I do like this video but I wosh people would get the understanding of what trail riding is. All trail rides I've seen people do are crap. A hill climb is meant to be steep or long. not a 5 degree steep hill. But anyway nice vid man.

These trails look awesome here in Newfoundland there are alot of trails the only thing is you cant get out of first or second gear which is also fun boulder runs roots stumps bogs which is perfect for my ttr 230 because of the low gears but I would definately go bigger to enjoy these trails best I've seen nice video!!

get a bigger bike lol..And i generally carry a pack with me with some rope..and alcohol to clean cuts, ive gotten some nasty deep cuts and im glad i had that stuff, you dont want to have to end your riding due to something like that..Also, a pocket knife.

always carry a camel back, wrenches to change a plug if it fouls and an extra plug. even though it doesn't happen much on 4-strokes. yamaha is the way to go but you definetly need a bigger bike. VERY IMPORTANT:never slime your tires if you get a flat.

A Suzuki DR200SE would be a great starter bike for the kid, economical too! If you are looking for pure off-road bike, they are taller and you may want to go 150cc.
