  • I love this video so much i spent 200 dollars on my HPI touring car so it can drift.

  • One of the most awesome RC-videos I have ever seen! I saw it back in 2006 (I think) and helped me convince my girlfriend that I just HAD TO buy another RC car. Kudos to the drivers and awesome video-shooting... Next step would be high speed video-shots ;)

  • fucking awesome

  • I remember watching this video way back when and to this day i still love watching this video

  • awesome vid

  • I remember watching this vid a LONG time ago, still pure awesome.

I went out and brought a TL01 after watching this.

  • lol sorry for the late reply, thanks for the compliments =)

  • @spunkybob13

same here, saw this vid around 3 years ago, and have been looking into the sport on & off ever since, finally bit the bullet today and ordered a tt-01d chassis, shells, radio gear and hop up's, over £300 worth!

  • at 2:17 reminded me the fast and the furious

  • song please?

    5*

  • Hi,

The Song's "Letters to You" by Finch =)

  • 4WD drifting sucks a bit, but nice vid

  • hey are you one of the SG drifters member

  • yep =)

I haven't been drifting in ages though due to work commitments

  • what chassis are you guys using? TT01?

  • erm tt01 n yokomo drift package n thunder tiger most of us use tat

  • 1:17 couldnt be any closer!!! our band is doing this song! so awesome i want a drift car! Click on my name ^^ new vid comming soon

  • Glad you like the video, good luck on your own vid as well! =)

  • dammit!

    my video card suck.

    I'm using a mac white.

  • Finch - Letters to You.

    Great song!

  • coolt

  • how much?

  • yeah they do have some

    im getting one from there

it is called a xmod and you can put awd swap into it so it will drift

    it is very cheap

  • hey what would be a cheap but still fun car to drift?

Like something i could get from radioshack or something like that?

    message me plz

  • Hi Marc,

I doubt there's anything from Radioshack, you might want to get a TAmiya XB series and fit it with drift tyres, but they don't exactly come cheap. =)

    Andrew

  • You should get a hobby Kit instead. Radio Shack are toys, get a hobby kit and trust me. It'll be a whole different world :)

  • i never knew that you could do that with remote control cars lol. But overall Wonderful!!

  • thanks man...i got one a while ago. but i was young and nieve...haha well thanks for the help!...OH, one last thing...im still a beginning driver, what did you start with? like, what brand and type: dirt, or road?

  • I started out with a Tamiya TT-01 and TL-01 with PVC tires, moved on now, am using a Yokomo Drift Kit plus with the works =)

  • this is sick driving...nice...i am going to buy a car soon, i have found nitro to be much more work and electric are easier to use. but i am thinking about getting a Losi Drift-R. what do you suggest for a car? sorry for the super long message!!!

  • Hey, I'm not familiar with Losi electrics to be honest, their pretty well known for dirt cars, not street cars in my opinion. My advice would be whichever brand u get, it's best to head down to ur local hobby store, and find out which car has the most spare parts being sold at the store, and get that car. reason being u want something u can upgrade or fix from time to time, and not get a car that's good, but once broken, takes forever to fix due to unavailable spares.

  • Losi Drift R is great, but the wheel is eventually going to break from the rly powerful motor, so you gotta have a local hobby store that sells drift wheels

  • The copy of this movie got deleted? I remember it having like 3 mil + views or maybe im thinking of somthing else. Ohwell its good to see its back with the maker

  • Iono, it's a pity, that copy had the biggest response and now it's...er...gone. sigh.

  • Crap...I accidentally removed someone's comments. sorry! Anyway to ans that qn, it doesn't take long, drifting's with RC cars is one of those things where once u understand how it works, u jsut need to practice it constantly, and u'll soon be able to achieve the same standards as well =)

  • what are you useing xmods minizs or what

  • Nah, 1:10 scale yokomo drift kits. =) Mini Zs and Xmods are palm size cars

  • hey Endruu where do u get a small enough camera to fit on a RC car like u guys got

  • nice car

  • im new to this rc cars stuff, are all these cars 4WD?

and u actually have to use pvc pipe as the tires lol

  • yes they are 4wd and u can buy drift tires that are basically the same material but cost around 15 times more, so why not just use pvc then? =)

  • and what would be better for drifting electric rc or nitro, and wouldnt the pvc pipe slip off while drifting?

  • Get an electric, its cleaner, but you can get a nitro if you like. There are pipes that will fit snugly to plastic rips, if not, apply vinyl tape to your tyres for extra grip. =)

  • is that first white car a Mustang GT?

It looks like a 5.0 which is exactly what i have been looking for!!! Can anyone help me locate that body, cuz im having a helluv a time!

  • nah its not sorry, it's a white Toyota Trueno AE86 =)

  • really? damnnnnnnn

you know if anyone makes a 5.0 body?

  • heh, sorry, not familiar with is, you can try HPI of Tamiya

  • WHATS THE SONG? :'(

  • <3 0.45

  • Good work although u used pvc tape noob.

  • lol, PVC tape? it's actually PVC piping. and no we chose to use that above other choices cause its cheaper than having to waste on yoke tyres and stuff. =)

  • I am planning to buy the HPI Sprint 2 Drift or the Yokomo Drift Car. Do you think the Sprint 2 Drift is good? Is it better? And also, what do you mean D-Box has it's limitations? Limitations of what?

  • Hey, hope i caught u in time. Anyway I havn't tried the HPI sprint2 so i can't comment on that, all i know is the Yokomo's chassis is based on their racing breed the CGM, so u can bet it has pro-setup options. As for the Dbox, it's good for beginners to drift, but for really technical, tight, sharp, narrow corners and such where u need full control of your car, it can get ugly sometimes w the Dbox. Hence it turns to be less helpful while trying to help.

  • how much are they and where can you buy them online cheap.

  • I have some questions...

    1. Do you use the HPI D-Box?

    2. Have you ever drifted Nitro?

    3. If someone plans to drift both Nitro and Electric, which should he do first?

  • lol.

    1. We don't use Dbox, its good but has its limitations

    2. No i haven't, but i know some who have

    3. Personally, I would say electric. Though more pricey to start up, it's cheaper in the long run considering u don't damage anything compared to having to refuel a nitro car every time it runs out of gas. plus its quieter so u can play it almost anywhere and not restrict urself to one location.

  • do u need a nirto car or is it possible to drift that good with electric say maybe an xmod or mini z ?

  • nitro or electric, it has to be 4wd. WE use electric btw, those in the vid aren't gas cars like some ppl have mistakenly posted. Mini Zs and Xmods can br drifted as well, youtube has some vids of those stuff i think. but it isn't as realistic as the 1/10 cars =)

  • any special requirements for the cars (i only have x mods, but the source has some R/Cs that come stock A.W.D.) all of the other videos only show the drifting

  • I think you could drift with Xmods, but u need to purchase their drift setup, if I'm not wrong their basically tires that aid with the drifitng. Sorry I can't help much on Xmods, but if you look ard u might get better ans from those who drift them =)

  • ummm, it depends how fast it can go and wut wheels it has sometimes, but i recomend a nirto, just a piece of advice from another drifter.

  • i want one!! any chances you'd give me one for my birthday? lol!

  • hey what is this songs name?

  • Finch-Letters to you...it's in the credits

  • I just love the scene at 00:45 it really looks like ur in Tokyo drifting on the high way.

  • Endruu I read all the comments man. I cant believe you responded to so many people!! I love RC and I'm a drifter myself and love for people to get into he hobby, but if I had to answer the same question so many times i would DIE. =P To those who did not check the commetents THE NAME OF THE SONG IS LETTERS TO YOU BY FINCH.. there one less pain in the ass =D. Your doing a great serves Endruu. Best of luck to you.

  • Lol thanks a lot Kraziiboi. I think it's really cause I got a lot of free time to answer mails...haha. Anyway yes, a lot of the stuff are in the credits, if not, just pop a msg anyway and I'd gladly help out. =)

  • awesome video. I had a nitro rustler and a t maxx 3.3, but i would really like to get a tamiya or something for drifting

  • lol u should. It's a whole new aspect of RC hobby which I think if u had the chance, you should give it a try =)

    Andrew

  • what kind of pavement works best? i imagine it probably has to be smooth like a tennis court or something.

  • YES!

A tennis court is awesome...u see the word "smooth" doesnt exactly t right. I honestly dunno what to call it....fine-paved rough surface? iono...lol.

  • Okay, I have easy access to lots of tennis courts and some other surfaces that I think would work nicely. I have been looking around at cars and I am interested in something not too expensive but still pretty good quality. What would you recommend?

  • Ok it really depends. Honestly I would recommend you buy a higher end one, reason being if u get hooked into these stuff, u'll spend WAY more if u start with a simple car. But if you really want, a Tamiya TT-01 would be enough, plus all the electronics, chargers, batteries etc. Or else get a Yokomo Drift Kit

  • name of song

  • LOL the music makes the vid XD

  • thnx, is there a brake set you could buy for a tc3-tc5team assosiated ? ( same basic parts on all )

  • their not really available here in Singapore although I know some who play Team A cars. U gotta check with their online catalogue if there's any

  • do you need brakes to drift or just reverse?( my car has no stop option)

  • If you have a brake option it's BEST. Cause that way u can jam all 4 wheels and get it to slide into the right angle u wish. Another method would be to overpower and full throt the car, but sometimes that might lead to it drifting further away than u want it to

  • hmmm where can get?any hobby shop nearest to woodlands?

  • hmmm tamiya-Sport Model [rarely to get]coz it just 45 BUCKS lol

  • Try a Yokomo Drift Kit if u got the cash but you'll need to buy quite a lot of stuff. It's worth it if you are really interested though. If not, get a Tamiya XB which is ready made and just switch to PVC, i think it's $220 for a set.

  • can we get money for these? or just for the hell of it

  • Like How Special case?Coz if go repair cost 25 Bucks alot, for me

I BROKE buying all useles hop-ups hopeto upgrade till max and go till 70/mph HAHA LOL

  • 70mph...erm, ok. Well in that case dun do braking.

What car brand did u say it was again?

  • it MIGHT, but i dun think it's a big problem to worry about cause i think it seldom spoils, only special case

  • hmm so it wont spoil??

  • Hm, I never heard of gear problems.

Ok for RC hobby cars it's just a motor connected to a shaft or belt which drives the differentials at both ends of the chassis that spins the axles of the wheels....reversing front and back shouldn't do anything wrong to your DRIFT car since there is little friction that causes resistence as you would with rubber tires. Plus if u MESH the gearings properly, a gearbox problem is unlikely to happen.

  • anyway i wan to DIY pvc tires can get at hardware shop for pvc tubes

  • so drifting using reverse doesnt spoil ur gearbox?

  • so u mean u press full throttle and when conering just let it slide?same i trying too by not pushing the reverse trigger i drift using RWD

  • For hobby 4WD drifters, we power-over, meaning we punch the throttle and let the car go into a skid, no need for reverse, this isn't a real scale car so it's ok =)

  • endruu when drifting push the reverse trigger or jus let it slide??coz my fren say the gearbox almost spoil coz when i drift i push the reverse trigger do U nid 2 o not?

  • anyway the car im using now is jus $45 dollars bought at vista point

  • Lol Cool cool, u should really bring down the car during the local drift meets to try it out and show the rest, cheers! =)

  • this sentence retyped:they can drift using any tyres

  • u can go to woodlands vista point got 1 shop sell rc/car hes a pro he taught me 2 drift and he said that the car hes selling is a 8-speed cars and has 4wd but he sells most 8-speed 8-speed cars not 4wd and said they cant drift using any tyres and guess wat

    DDDDDRRRIIIIFFFFTTTTTT

  • Lol nice

  • Endruu i tried drifting with a rwd car and a slightly slippery tyres and guess what ut drifts!!!!!

  • i drifted wif anon pvc tires rc and a 2wd!! it hit the street in woodlands vista!!!

  • HYE ENDRUU..where can iget these ykomo cars in malaysia??

i damn want 1 of them

    this v.clip

    turn me on dude

    plz tell me

hope 2 see u rc drift live

  • this video influenced me into buying a yokomo, serious juust get one,its insane

  • it was the drift at 44seconds around that sweeper that made me pick up some drift tires and start gettin sideways

  • lol, glad you're picking up the hobby. =)

  • BEST DRIFTING VID!!!!!! great

    music

  • THIS VIDEO RULES!!! the music is cool and the cars are awesome. i love the part where the purple car drifts around that bend in the street. probably one of the longest drifts ive ever seen.

  • r these electric or nitro cars and about how much do they cost i want to buy one and try

  • heyah, lol these are Electric, reason being their cheaper to maintain in the long run and you can play them almost anywhere without disturbing the neighbours. They go for about USD$500 for a good set with controller and charger I think...although you can cheaper ones at $300, try towerhobbies or our website, cheers!

  • ya this is bad ass but lol im not spending 300 dollars on a rc car. can the toys r us cars do this lol?

  • lol, nope.

  • ok well i think i found someting on sale. are the cars rear wheel drive?

  • nope, their 4wd. Things u need to take note if you do wanna get a drifter. It has to be 4wd(unlike the real thing which goes on Rwd) and it has to have wheels that are hard and plastic-like not rubbery to minimize grip. Cheers =)

  • ya i learned that i need pvc pipe tires but besides that do i need to know any thing else

  • Hm, well like I said, 4wd, has to be 4wd. And the wheels must be 0 degree camber, or else the pvc pipe will not touch the entire surface of the road.

  • Was one of my first vids i seen since last year, its still grea and well put! good job!

  • cool video! but can you say me the title of the song? it sounds cool!! so n1 vid!

  • The song's by Finch, it's called Letters to You. By the way their album ROCKS!

  • dope ass vid dude

  • can i know how much do one cost and er where can i get subaru wrx sti?

  • you need to get the body and paint it yourself, or you can get a HPI body that looks like team orange's well just the color.

  • whats the specific name of the purple on the WRX? Pactra MEtallic Purple?

  • woah, iono, I think it's metallic purple from Tamiya...the front half had 2 coats and the back had 3 to give it a slight two tone effect. The cover's mine, but it's second hand so I've no idea...sorry =(

  • the blue car at 30. thats a civic right

  • Lol i didnt have time to put them up.

But u can find others who did i think =)

  • hey endruu can u give me address for singapore cause im gonna buy 1 and all teh details like the scale what model? TT01? what transmitter and price thanks

  • its a b5 a4

  • what car is the light blue one with the carbon colour bonnit and the gold rims?

  • That's an Audi A4, I'm not sure what brand it is though =\

  • lol thanks, will take note, they still rock though =)

  • Would be better wee faster music

  • then sgdrifters 4 would probably be better for you, it's not punk though. =)
