Vietnam Communist government doesn't give it's citizens passport to go visit other countries. They hold their family and relatives and property hostage, if they gie them a passport. So if one don't come back their family goes to jail and they lost their house. Those granted passport with ease are family, relatives, and friends of the viet cong party members.
@BBradshawProductions : I think you talk about Viet Nam during 80's today it's different. In 1986 Viet Nam governemt change and began a new reform politic.
A friend from Saigon came to France for his holiday last july. Another one go to Bali. I know many vietnamese go to USA, australia, south korea, or europe for study or for holliday.
