Its about matching the gear's and having the right clutch control, your constantly on the clutch controling the bike..

Also the bikes are 2 and 4 stroke, 2 strokes have dominated for a long time but in the recent years 4 strokes have made a come back and are becoming the norm due to emission restrictions, i personally prefer the 4 stroke having ridden both for a few years. Dave
