  • where did you get the rpm gauge from? i think thats awsome motor

  • What is the device connected to the flywheel?

  • EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @sam6no: have you modified your cylinder?

  • just trying to get lego going again

  • wie hast du das gemacht?

  • the champion of the lpe`s

  • of all pneumatic engines i've seen is this one the best

  • Excellent!! :)

  • how do you stop it

  • smach the hell out of it!

  • turn off the air supply

  • thats nice:D But i have a problem:somehow the motor is no spinning... i have the wheel on the end and i copyed everyting exactly same like in your motor. where is the problem?? i am sorry because my english is very bad:D i am from finland:D my english is 6 :D:D gimme some advice!!

  • Nice job with the slide valve... I may have to steal that idea :P BTW, did you drill out the cylinder air inlets? As they are, they are slow, but by carefully drilling out the taps to about 1.6mm the cylinder moves a lot more freely. With a good design speeds in excess of 2000rpm ar possible- check out nicjasno or ivanidic's videos

  • that expanles how poeple beem able to get lego engines to rev higher. I was thought it always some thing elas.

  • well, equally important is a good design. The high-speed ones use either conrod or scotch yoke setups so that the cylinder doesn't oscillate. This makes the engine run much smoother as the piston is also supported on all sides

  • could you explain more about the cylinder air inlets a bit more maybe a diagram.

  • well, as supplied the air inlets have a very small hole at the end, which restricts the airflow- fine for using them as hydraulic cylinders, but for engines you want maximum airflow. To do this you simply take a 1.6mm drill between your fingers and drill the hole out.

  • how do u make that?

  • found it already =D

  • Where did you find it?

  • nice ! 5/5, do you have a instruction or something to make clear how it sits together ?

  • I have try to make it and flowed the picture on your website i don't know what's wrong with mine (i think it's me!) do you charge your air tank at hight presure.

  • make sure u have the wheel on the end

    its all about timing

and yes i presume it is at highest pressurte

  • thanks for your help i have it working now. i think i might try with a bigger air tank.

  • what was the problem

    , timing the cylinders?

  • no i think it the cylinder it's a bit stiff i gave it a oil and i will try later

  • nice!!

  • very nice dude
