I think a drivers license test here in America, should only be given in English. Go to Mexico and see how many languages they give there drivers license test in. I think a drivers license test here in America, should only be given in English. Go to Mexico and see how many languages they give there drivers license test in. How about Germany, France, Saudi Arabia, etc ... my grandparents moved to the US from Germany in 1932, they learned English. My best friend moved to the US in 1997, he left India behind for a better life. Guess what he speaks English fluently not broken English ... he speaks clear English.

@MyMerlin1 Although I'm not sure your opinion is right, I think English teachers who are Englishmen are so nice for non-native speakers. Incidentally, I was taught English by an English teacher who was a young Englishman when I was a high-school student. His accent was so elegant for me.

Many of us have grandparents who overcame incredible obstacles to become citizens of this country. Before they were accepted they had to pass a rigorous & demanding test. They were asked, answers, had to be in English.That is what citizenship for an immigrant used to mean. Today we're required to bestow it on anyone whose mother sneaks across our border a few hrs before a baby is born. Absolutely insane. Why do I have to push 1 for English, I live in America , learn it!
