Does ANYONE here remember the kids' edition from 1977 where I think was one of the funniest things EVER on any gameshows. There was a little girl named Elizabeth, 6 years old, who was really shy and was having trouble communicating with Jack. Jack kept going "Elizabeth Elizabeth! "and Elizabeth finally said (after spinning) "Oh... I'll take the joker for $100", the audience members lost it laughing, Jack Barry had to control himself, i'm sure the show was edited majorly.
Before "Joker," Jack had hosted a show called "Juvenile Jury," which featured a panel of kids aged ten or less giving advice to solve the problems of other kids.
@gameshowguy2000 I can vaguely remember from my early childhood with the kids playing without their parents in both the main and bonus game a year later.
I'm not going to go near you and a snake kid.

DearAman, This is not the first time that Mr.Barry did a kids tv show. Back in the 1950's..he had created, produced and/or hosted
such popular kids tv shows as"Winky Dink","Juvemile Jury"and
"The Joe Dimaggio Show"(On the Joe Dimaggio Show..he was
the show's announcer).

Maybe I don't understand the premise of this but didn't it seem convenient that the white boy got 3 sets of Joker's in a row?

you forget Barry hosted two kids shows in the 50s.. "Winky Dink & You" and "Juvenile Jury".. Yes, he was excellent with kids.

@professor1966 He also did a 1971 revival of Juvenile Jury.

I thought they called the kids version "Joker, Joker, Joker"
garrisonskunk 2 years ago
That was in '79.

And I thought it was the parents who played the bonus round (as it says on Wikipedia, it's to prevent kids from "gambling").

Was this Johnny Gilbert's first announcing job in the 70s?
nextbarker 2 years ago
Anything but his first. Check the Wikipedia article on his game show career. He also did some hosting in the 50s and 60s.

You forgot that he announced TPIR when it was on ABC in the 60's.
