I love schwarmas! I miss them:). Used to live in the middle east, & you're right - the Arabs are very hospitable...incredibly gracious! It was a humbling learning experience to live there. I don't think it's an issue of 'class' as you said - but more just a matter of having the examples of grace and consideration....it's a cultural aspect that seems to be lost with....Israelis.
It's not a big deal to fly without gps. My husband is a pilot and the navigator can navigate:). At least it wasn't a vital part of the plane that wasn't in working order! But yeh - scary it is flying these days. Yah bless
