  • is ur 50's specs strat made in usa or mexico (the blue one)

  • i love your collection, especially the les paul and the paisley tele. are you planning on getting any new guitars anytime soon?

  • Your collection is killer ! Very nice !The one I prefer is the Blue Fender Stratocaster. Is it an illusion or did I saw some missing screw on the pick guard ?

  • How much was your Martin D41 acoustic guitar. It sounds bloody good with the La's there she goes song. The other acoustic Gibson guitar 'mustache guitar' how much was that?

  • You HAVE to give me 3-4 guitars!!! :D

  • I always associate the paisley tele with James Burton, Is there a James Burton paisley or is it just the quitar he used?

  • @1Stratcat56 There is a James Burton signature Tele, but it's not the pink paisley one. In my opinion, his signature edition is God-awful ugly, some kind of brown/gold design. Just do a google image search for it.

  • @privettricker I checked it out, it is not very attractive. not a big fan of gold hardware.

Anyway you have some nice insturments there. You must have one good wife, after six guitars mine started asking "how many do you need?"

  • i like the gibson sg

  • You should get a bass too :-)

  • i bet u would of been gutted if one fell of the sofa arm. very nice collection good to see someone who dosnt just stick with one brand.

  • yo u got really nice guitars.

  • thats like a 20K+ guitar collection,, Way sweet man!

  • Always fun to look at and hear about guitars...Thanks!

  • Do you keep them in different tunings?

  • I've watched a lot of your videos, and I rarely see you play your Strat. Is there a reason why?

  • You DO talk! Haha. Kickass collection man. If you had to pick one acoustic and one electric guitar, what would they be?

  • I was wondering how you keep your strings in such good condition. I try to wipe my strings on my three guitars as much as possible ( which is not much because I forget) and I try to change strings every month and a half or two months (whenever I get to it). But I cannot keep my strings from tarnishing which seems to decrease the sound quality. By the way, great guitar collection! I wish I had Gibsons!

  • @jackw7878 For one thing, I keep them all in their cases when I'm not playing them. That helps a little.

  • Nice collection! Cheers!

  • thanks for sharing your wonderful collection!

  • Thanx for taking the time to show us round your collection.

theres not one amongst them that I wouldnt be proud to own.

    all in superb conditon.

    excellent

  • Very nice collection...I really like the Pink Paisley tele,it would be a nice one to have...

  • I think it's time for some sort of 335 to be added to the stable.

  • how much did the gibson j200 cost?

  • if you had to get rid of one guitar which one would it be? also which one would you keep if you could only keep 1?

  • Nice!

So, what amps do you use then?

  • LOVE THE GIBSONS.............................

  • Donate me one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • Thanks for making me drool on my keyboard dude

  • did you change the neck on the Schecter telecaster?

  • Very nice collection......Thanks for all you do!

  • do you have cars?

  • do the ampsssssss !

  • what year did gibson acoustics start with the assembley line

  • @hanghang71 At Bozeman, around early 1991, I believe.

  • @privettricker when will we get Guitar Collection 2012!!!!!!

  • do you ever show your face?

  • @tingly7654321 Only in mug shots.

  • @privettricker lol nice one :p

  • @tingly7654321 Check his cover of what is and what should never be.

  • verfy nice collection,do you have any scratches or dings on the sunburst stratocaster?

  • @TomashSpring I hope not.

  • The original Strat bridges are supposed to give a better tone according to Robin Trower ! Do a search and listen to him explain about it. Maybe the nut just needs graphite ?

  • is the gretsch 5120 expensive ? thinking of buying one.

  • @bbone6512 It's an import, so it's not all that expensive. In fact, it's an outstanding guitar for the money. But given the current economy, I guess anything over $100 is expensive!

  • is there alot of difference bwteen the SG and Les Paul I cant really tell the difference

  • i just have one guitar for everything haha

  • Sweet collection bro! When did you get the white Les Paul that's in some of your new videos?

  • @Sigma16Productions Got that one just a couple of weeks after I shot this video.

  • sweet collection!

  • Where did you get the neck for the Schecter?

Also, where was the guitar made?

  • @FRY3 Got the neck on ebay. And it's a Japanese one.

  • The Gibson Dove wants to play Wond'ring Aloud (or maybe John Barleycorn Must Die) I can just sort of feel it from looking at them :~)

  • forget about the guitar.............man you got alot of shirts

  • Wow! What's next?

  • sweet collection!

  • great guitar collection.

  • Sensational, playing that is and the collection is awesome too. Ever played a maton acoustic? Made in Australia, Tommy and Phil Emmanuel made them famous and Tommy, now internationally recognized, 30 years after he should have been still plays them and raves about them. Half the price of a Gibson and a great guitar that holds it's own against them

  • Scha-weet.

    Love the SG.

Tanx for the show and tell.

  • Ha. I was convinced the LP was an R8. Very cool Standard.

  • nice gear... I love the Telecasters

  • nice collection! But what about that les paul with the pinup girl sticker on it? it's hanging in the background of some of your videos

  • Wow, great collection! You have great taste!

  • thank you for posting this!!!!!

  • Really nice of you to do this. Cool and informative. I appreciate. Thanks!

  • *jizzes*

  • i love my the bridge on my american standard. the two point moves much smother than the six points i've used.

  • Thanks for the tour, CeePee. That answers alot of questions. I totally agree with you on the Fender "vintage" or "classic" (or whatever they call them) bridge saddles. They SUCK. I have them on a Jimmie Vaughan Strat and the saddles on my 90s US Strat are soooo much better. You can actually set the intonation! The JV Strats are great for the neck, but you gotta do some upgrades....

  • @NCWharfRat Wouldn't say they SUCK at all man. It varies. I have two USA Fender standard strats, one with the block saddles and the other with the "classic" bent steel saddles... and fuck me the classic ones blow the modern block ones outta the water. Hardly every have to tune that strat, probably my most reliable guitar tuning wise - even better than my Gibson LP R9.

  • Need a 335 :)

  • how come you never play the martin?

  • @spider5001 Never play it? I've recorded probably 100 videos with it. Check my channel.

  • no 12 strings? zep is sweet on 12

  • what's the price of martin D-41 ? is it right? haha .. cause it's how I heard it

  • so how much did you get the J-180 for, just out of curiousity

  • @4runner39 The pawn shop wanted $850 for it, and I felt a little guilty haggling them down to $700. And I even got them to pay the tax on it.

  • Thanks for introducing us to the family.

  • do you buy them from a independant shop or one of those nation wide stores?

  • Drool

  • Great collection! Some amazing guitars.

I have a taylor 312 ce, a martins dx, a fender strat and a an Eppiphone12 string from Kalamazoo, a Aria acoustic concert body from the 70's I would trade them all for 1%

of your mad guitar skills. What do you think is the most important thing you could tell us hackers out here that brought you to the level you play at today?

Thank you again for raising the bar!

    Best

    Gary

  • I thought maybe you didn't like PRS guitars for some reason ?

  • @larrysheetmetal No, I don't have anything against them. I've never owned one, primarily because I've always been more of a Gibson fan. From all I hear, PRS makes outstanding guitars. They're certainly beautiful to look at!

  • HEY WAIT A MINUTE I thought I read in a post you used to live near DC and you don't have a PRS REALLY !!!

  • @larrysheetmetal Well, I also used to live in Rochester, NY. But I don't own a Kodak camera or drink Genesee beer.

  • HEY WAIT JUST A MINUTE Didn't I read you live around DC and you don't have a PRS REALLY!!!1

  • Well,I guess everybody else wants to see the amps and the t. shirts, But I waiting for the dvd PRIVETTRICKER BANNED ON YOUTUBE I never got to see tne hendrick's series and what happened to ROCK AND ROLL WOMAN

  • Hi nice collection you have .I own a Duesenberg starplayer special guitar .You should try one of these as well.

I also like to thank you for putting so many vids on you tube. Thanks to you I learned playing in open G cause I'm a Stones fan too.I'm 56 and learned playing only 2 years ago but it goes well.I think you own a nice car as well .My lifestyle is simular I guess because i don't have kids so lots of money left to enjoy live with sportscars ;Harley's and guitars..

  • Loved it. Yes Shirt collection next. American Telecaster and Telecaster custom are the only holes I see. My favorite is also the Gibson Standard. Oh a TV Yellow would be nice also. You truly rock!

  • Amazing guitarsenal!

  • Wonderful Collection...almost complete. To be full complete you should have a Ovation Acoustic Guitar, and a 12 string guitar.

    Cuem - Butanta SP/SP Brasil

  • Bless you man! Play them in good health.

  • Love the last one

  • I've been waiting on this :)

  • i do envy you.

  • @cuoreditonno To paraphrase Spinal Tap bassist Derek Smalls: I envy me.

  • Very nice collection, love that martin tho.

  • LOL keep pressing 7

    sounds so funny!

not to make you redecilous btw :D

  • @geitenkaasje1 Keep pressing 7? What does that mean?

  • @privettricker when you play the vid (so not paused) keep pressing the 7 button on your keyboard.

(if you press the numbers 1-9 you jumpf to different parts of the vid. if you repeat that you can get very funny sounds.)

  • Geez. what a collection of great guitars! I want an SG so bad. I have a Les Paul that I love, and a "cheapie" Strat (Bullet) but I really would love to have an SG.....or a Tele.....or a.....

  • can i have the schecter? =|

  • No 12 string, privetricker? Any reason ?

  • Very nice collection !

  • sweet guitars dude

  • That's all??

    :)

  • This is where I hope to be in 10 years. Off to a bad start though, but I plan on getting an american telecaster in the near future, but then again i`m only 17.

  • Great Collection buddy! All really fine intruments! let's see your amps now! nice job on these videos too.

Now if I'm trying to work out a cover and I'm not sure about a technique used or I'm not sure about what voicing could sound better... I just look and see if you have the song in your video collection and it's a great way to cheat. lol

  • i love em all

  • this is the perfect guitar collection to have. nuff said.

  • Here in Brazil it costs a little fortune, about US$3.000 a new Fender...

  • Nice man. Thanks for all the vids and much inspiration.

  • What year is your Gretsch? I have a 5120 too and your's has three knobs near the right F-hole...mine has four...

  • cool! thanks for tour!

  • is there a big difference in the sound between acoustic epiphone guitars and acoustic gibson guitars because I can't really judge on youtube videos because every recording material is different

  • dude you are rich im fucking jealous!!

  • @eduardo0796 I'm not rich. But if you want to buy a bunch of guitars, don't have kids.

  • @privettricker thanks for the advice, no kids... You got nice videos by the way

  • @privettricker i guess you only need a 12 strigs guitar, and im getting a Vasectomy tomorrow haha

  • Comment removed

  • @privettricker dude noooo shizzzzz, kids are expensive!!!! great collection man! congrats.

  • @privettricker Haha! I was just saying this to a mate of mine. Wondered why a few people were envious of my guitar collection even though I don't earn a whopping amount. Was thinking, "but I'm not really killing myself to afford these guitars. I have a job, that's all that necessary, right?" Then I realised they all had kids. ;)

  • @privettricker LOL, thats good advice ha

  • @privettricker Amen. But kids are rewarding, even more than a guitar. But as a player I really enjoy your collection. Thanks for pointing me how to find it. Amps now???

  • I miss one of the wonderful sounding Lakewood Guitars from Germany but otherwise your collection is not bad.....

  • NOW FOR THE AMPS!

  • great stuff!

  • Didn't you have another Les Paul (plain top)? I could swear that you play two different LPs on your videos....

  • Thanks for finally doing this!

  • Comment removed

  • NICE

  • Excellent choices!!!

  • Beautiful collection. Maybe add a 72 custom tele for more open G stuff?

  • How can you afford all of this stuff o_O !? I´m just waiting for the amps now.

  • Beautiful collection, great vid. Thanks!

  • great vid being lookin for this awhile NICE!!!

  • Thanks for the tour! I'm on my way to having an eerily similar stable. Currently have Strat Deluxe Players, Nashville Deluxe Tele, Gibson SG Std., Gretsch 5120, Les Paul Traditional, Ampeg AMG100 (Dan Armstrong-like). I'm a subscriber. Keep on rockin'. :)

  • What are you using for the maintenance of the bodies? They're really shiny, even though you've been playing them a lot...

  • Can I have your job?

  • A well rounded collection that allows you a great deal of flexability in your ability to play a diverse repetoire of music. My collection is somewhat like yours but not as nice----71 Gibson Hummingbird, 61 reissue SG, 04 LP Standard, 95 American Standard 52 reissue Tele and Strat, Martin D-15 custom, Ovation 1111, Jap lawsuit LP.

  • Yea you definitely need a 335 we will be waiting for a demo ha ha.Nice collection so far

  • And the shorts collection's :P??

  • Makes the holes in my collection even more glaring. I'm in need of a strat, and an electric, and acoustic gibson. Really, I need an electric that isn't a Telecaster. I've got two, a standard and a '72.

  • Thanks for sharing, definitely some money invested there! Are you planning on doing a similar post of your amp or amps?

  • Thanks so much. Very much enjoyed the tour. Nice collection of instruments. I think a Rickenbacker 360-12 would complete the line... Best wishes from Mountain View, CA

  • Nice set of 'battle' axes,!

  • planning on getting any other strats?

  • Awesome! Thanks! Love your site and it's refreshing how humble you are. Quite sure you must have money and you definitely have talent but it hasn't gone to your head. Thanks for many hours of enjoyment and lessons you've provided us.

  • Very nice guitars! I need to get a Strat to make my collection better.

  • Beautiful collection. Time to ask your better half to release funds for a 12-string acoustic, if she gives you a hard time I got your back. ;)

  • Dude, you are awesome, thank you for sharing. I gotta nice 95 912ce Taylor, it has the "Cindy" inlays in the fretboard. $5000 dollars.

  • You lucky Bastard haha.Beautiful collection tho...

  • les paul and j-200 this is all i want

  • Beautiful Collection! I have five guitars. You are a fantastic seasoned player!!!

  • Nice! I really enjoyed that a lot. We have virtually the same Gibson LP ('03 standard - mine's honeyburst). I agree with ryler99 - a Ric ought to be next (I have an early 90s Ric 370). But you have a truly awesome collection even if you never buy another guitar! Looking forward to your next video... Thanks for doing this!

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!! Nice bro

  • sweet

  • Thanks for sharing. Definitely old school. No PRS or Taylor but nice collection otherwise.

  • Les Paul.. My favorite =D. But I don't have any guitar =(
