Simply issue debt free money, take Federal Reserve notes (our current paper and checkbook money supply) out of circulation and outlaw fractional reserve lending (the lending of money you do not have). The solution is unbelievably simple, it's just hidden right in front of our faces and obfuscated by those who benefit from the current system.

If Ron Paul ran in 2012, the only reason he wouldn't get 100% of the votes is because of the misinformed voters. After following Ron Paul for a while, I can't imagine having anyone else as president.

When I first knew of Ron Paul in 2007 I was like 13 I think, me and my friends chose him as a joke because of his name, now I seriously want him to be president :P even if that position doesn't mean anything

These draconian thugs behind the "Patriot Act" will be back again. All they need is to wait for the next big crisis to unfold and scare the American people via media propaganda. I hate calling the "Patriot Act" by that name, nothing Patriotic about it! I consider myself a Patriot, I know of many others who consider themselves Patriots and all of whom know that anything that contradicts the Constitution is not Patriotic but anti American which means in no way shape or form is that Patriotic!

If Dr. Paul were President, he could refuse to enforce the Patriot Act, as without Constitutional Amendments, the Act seems null and void to me.

@oldhacks Then maybe you are somewhat of an anarchist like myself :-) Because where would the people get their information in this direct democracy? Rumsfield? I agree, in situations where individuals come into contact with the results of their policies, individuals are apt to re-evaluate and improve their policies. But my problem with applying your point is where would the people's information come from? I would advocate no absolute authority, direct democracy is hijackable too.

@jameslmorehead yea and that's the Problem. politicians can only get elected once they've raised enough money to get on TV and radio. and they have to get the money from SOMEWHERE? so representative government is inherently flawed right from the get go. you CAN'T get an honest politician because he can't get the FUNDS needed to get elected. so you're screwed. so the only chance you got is to take power yourself and recognize that you're better off trusting your neighbors then politicians.

@jameslmorehead and not only 'where do they get the funding' but also the only way they can get on "TV and Radio" is if they agree to not talk against any of the Corporations that control our MEDIA. so you can't even give an honest speech because the media won't let you get on AIR if you're going to say something against them.
the military industrial complex owns our media. so you can't curse that part of our infrastructure on Television EVEN THOUGH that;s the greatest problem we FACE!

Well its going to pass, the monsters are putting back up to vote again. This time up or down,50/50. I was so ashame of Louisiana. Every one of our Congressmen voted for this illegal act. This means everyone in Louisiana elected people who have no respect for the constitution or our right to privacy. Scum scum scum... this is why I boycott voting... if someone I supported did such a thing, I would be going for a visit to a town-hall. Now I can just shake my head and stay out of jail

Dear Senator, Written in the Bankruptcy Act of 33, it ABOLISHED the US Govt & all it's Branches & ( written in the Act ) to be replaced by a Socialist Communist Govt with Receivership going to the UN & the IMF. How could the UN be a Receiver when it was even established until 12 years later in 1945 ?
I smell a Rat & it's called FRAUD by the IMF, UN & Fed Res.

@Timmyvirus111 Agreed - I was really pissed that I hadn't heard about the renewal vote before Monday. While I do [respectfully] disagree with Ron Paul on some issues, this is one of those big ones on which I agree with him. The patriot act was a deplorable piece of legislation that needed review but never really got any.

Simply put it`s pure evil,They’re all about being able to spy on Americans with little or no oversight. The fact that they were allowed at all in the first place was in part due to the fact that it was post 9/11 and there was a “sunset clause” that would have them go away. It's my understanding that the WHOLE Patriot Act was not blocked, but merely a few provisions in the act were not extended.
