I grew up Catholic but I didn't hear the simple truth of 1 John 5:13 until I was in my 20s.

It took me another 10 years to get past the Catholic mindset and the myths.

I came to Jesus as a man of 30 years old.

I got hungry for God.

Nothing satisfied that hunger except God's word.

When I finally understood Paul's letter to the Romans I had a breakthrough.

I am now 64 and I am free.

I know I am Saved and Secure in God's promises.

Praise to God who saved a confused, wretched man like me.

Well I guess I don't like hanging out w/ christians. I reeeealy don't. Although I consider myself a christian, I just got nothing to say to other christians. Generaly christians in my life just tend to bore me to death. When I wanna be polite I just pretend. Recently I gave up pretending, I don't see christians anymore. They just have nothing in common and I'm reeealy not the kind of person, who would cherish the usual "how are u i'm doing fine. thanks"-kind of smalltalk all the time. And that I guess is why I'm though of as not very social and open person. Only because I prefer to talk about more substantial stuff and not afraid to put God on the strains of logic more often than most of them.

Yes, I KNOW that we are not saved by works! 1 John 2:29 is speaking of the RESULTS of being born again! The necessary result of being born of God is that you practice righteousness. Just read James 2 and you will see the message again. Even Paul preached this message all over Romans 5 and 6. JESUS PREACHED THIS MESSAGE!

If you deny the deity of Christ, which in turn denies the existence of the Trinity, you will die in your sins. You do know what "I am" means, right? The term "He" is not in the Greek but "I am" is "ego eimi" the same "I am" in Ex. 3:14. Jesus is calling HImself God.
