I want to be a helicopter pilot. He left his foot on the rudder and forgot to disengage the idle switch. In other words he tried slowing down but the throttle was locked in place and he used his rudder to try and change the direction so he could slow down the helicopter and try again...In short he is a dumbass.

Its a puma shes an old helicopter and because shes that old the helicopter never had a hook to prevent the tail rotor hitting the floor and thats precisely what happened the pilot did what he could balancing out the throttle to erform a landing but when ur doing a 360 every second and the G forces are restraining you so hes a damned good pilot it was just a freak accident it always happened

The rear rotor blade failed, that is what causes a helicopter to spin. The rear rotor blade keeps the chopper from spinning with the main rotor blade.

I think what caused it was the back of the helicopter was to near the ground upon initial touch down, so the rear rotor hit the ground, causing that rotor to malfunction.
