Saw them live at either The Venue or The Palace in Melb and they were amazing live. Not only tight vocally annd a a cute lead singer but had a great guitarist - Rex Goh who mesmerised me with his dexterity and slickness. Hed later play on the opening of a song by SavGarden - Moon And Back. but live in QED he performed a song with a gr8 guit solo - never spotted it anywhere. Supp only meant to be a studio band - well thanks for just saying what the and amazing the crowd.UROK

@Morcaiden Australia was peaking with talent during the 70's and 80's. You might have guessed if you think up as many Aussie bands possible (Men At Work, Icehouse, INXS, Divinyls, AC/DC, The Church, Air Supply, Little River Band, Midnight Oil, and so on). QED were just a one hit wonder. The singer moved on to far richer solo success. Unfortunately, the bulk of Australian music simply didn't make it overseas. This is just one out of many goods from this period that's unknown outside oz.

@nzoz1983 - Right after I watched this, I went on to view the rest of Jenny Morris's work. Impressive. It's a pity that QED was a just a one-hit wonder, as you say. The makings of a great new wave act were certainly there for all to see, even 20-odd years later...but just watching "Everywhere I Go" sent me back to that time and place in the early '80s when music lived -- thanks for your reply!

@Morcaiden Yep, the song and video carries the formula of its time. QED had another moderate hit called 'This One', which could have been a bigger hit than it was. The guitarist of QED was Rex Goh, who previously played in Air Supply (he did the solo's on their big hits). There's more New Wave goodies on this and my other nzoz channels.

I was told QED  were not meant to be a live band but they did a handful of shows. saw them once and they were awesome. Closed with a piece opening with a gr8 Guitar solo. Rex Goh. Very good band and love this song. Jenny later worked as a meber of sorts with an Aussie band ... i N X S. . Andrew often wrote and produced her . Thanks

I saved a ton of coin by buying it domestically in NZ than getting the stuff imported. But my next goal is to find a import of The Radiators stuff.

it is one of those songs that wouldn't blow you away when hearing it the first time... but it does hold the typical new wave textures of the time and certainly takes me back to the period. It's melodic and catchy and did get a lot of play on radio through out the 80's. If it had been treated by the world the way it was treated in Australia, it'd be considered a great New Wave pop standard...

Never heard this song before, and it is easily forgettable. I love New Wave, was hunting for early New Wave came across this one.

While the music isn't awful, it just doesn't appeal to me.

However and I'm sure many may say this, the lead singer is very attractive and I love her outfit and hair!

I have 'Animal Magic' on cassette from about 1986 and would love to see it someday on CD (unless there's already a pirated copy floating around on the web). QED were another underrated Aussie band when the local scene was overpacked with great acts (how about The Dugites, Cockroaches, Spy V Spy etc)
