Regarding the packaging... I always hear people talk about how dull and lame the Master System box art was but I think just the opposite. I love the simplistic design of them and how they all share the same theme so they look great as a collection. Modern game covers look generic at best and don't follow any kind of theme for the systems they represent other than a simple label across the top. My 2 cents.

He gets paid for the adverts on his channel and his homepage, as well as getting revenue share from his YouTube partnership but it's not exactly mega bucks... He's probably only making about $25,000-30,000 a year with 110,000 subscribers, so it's not much more than working a minimum wage job really especially as these reviews may look easy but they take about 4 hours each to put together, not counting the time it takes to play the games for modern reviews.
