Thanks for the great presentation! I have a lot to catch up on and will check the previous post to help me understand what is happening with olg's endo system
I have no ACTH high prolactin levels, Low testosterone, supposedly have addisons disease I have a normal thyroid hormone except for a high t3 level. I am so sick and I need help. I have no life and am not able to function normally. I am on so much steroid in my body from taking hydrocortisone that all my joints are going bad. I am continually gaining weight although I do not change my eating habits. HELP!!
So if the pituitary isn't necessarily the master gland, and maybe the hypothalamus is instead, why do many people with pituitary tumors become so sick and develop so many health problems? Could it be that a prolactinoma somehow damages the hypothalamus?
@tracy10UT Oh no, health problems are caused by the pituitary tumor, but getting a doctor to admit that is, well, impossible. "It's all in your head!" "Well, yes doctor, the tumor is all in my head!" Doctors are ridiculous!
@omegasher if you can get a doctor (probably a male doctor) to admit this, well, you will be rewarded with a Nobel Prize in Medicine, or something...No man will ever admit this.
Look, if you are as intelligent as you claim then you must have expected a response like this to your excruciatingly boring remark. Start something, expect responses. Your comment wasn't funny. Perhaps this sort of thing is dreadfully funny where you are, but posting on the internet means that people around the world see your comments, and senses of humour vary from country to country. BTW, my German is also 100% fluent. I'd like to hear yours, it better be 100%. You won't need ex Yugo languages
This video is helpful because it educate people about the fact that these imbalances can appear.
I have one of them, and it would have helped me to know what to look for. Fortunately health care in Sweden is great. I don´t think one can help the pituitary gland without medication.
trakomako: Don't worry, it's possibly because you can't spell and have a hideous command of the English language. There may be substantial damage to your brain. You may need help. If someone slams you hard enough in the face, say with something like a lead filled titanium rod, you might be able to "manstuate" from there. Ask someone (preferably twice your size and a compulsive aggressor) to be so obliging. If they do this approximately once a month for you, all will be well for you. Good luck.
Well if you are a young man and you are hyper tyroidian...Let me tell you that it is the case !
Me, i was a beats ( in a gentle way ). But that was the only good thing out of the disorder. The TSH was telling me to produce mor than a fair share of T3 -t4. Now girls in my neighborhood all cherrish the times LOL ...

It would be really cool if you showed a diagram of the brain with flash effects while you explain the different types of function.

Radhia, could you please make a video about how what we eat influences our hormones? I am really interested by that! Thanks!

so everything you just said means that my health problems, otherwise not connected (so the doctor says) are due to these 2 glands.

Interesting. I think that neuroleptic drug that I was poisoned with must have damaged my hypothalamus and pituitary.
