The Jets play predominantly Cover 1 and alot of Cover 0. They Blitz an unreal 57% of the time (league average is 38%) and they roll cover to the side of the field Revis isnt on forcing QB's to throw at Revis
The Jets also have Revis follow the other teams best receiver around. nnamdi lines up on one side of the field ALL THE TIME. No Scheme in the NFL puts more pressure on a corner than the Jets put on Revis.

the raiders predominately rush 4 and play man under cover 2 in pass coverage so nnamdi is forced to stay in coverage a long time and he gets no safety help either. revis on the other hand gets the advantage of a better pass rush and usually the jets play cover 1 with man under with the lone safety rolled to sheppard's side of the field. so both corners have no safety help but nnamdi has a worst pass rush and he plays about the same % of plays inpress man to man coverage as revis if not more.

Sanders is no way the best corner of all time, I can think of quite a few who are much better. Sanders is the best return man of all time. Sanders couldn't tackle for shit, and was slighty above average in coverage. But on returns Sanders was a nightmare. I've seen him return 3 punts for TDs in a single game.

that's a lie! when the jets blitz they roll the safety over the top of the corners, especially revis. try that shit with someone who does not watch film or football. revis is not on a fucking island. he is protected underneath by a linebacker sometimes and protected over the top MOST of the time. also for the Woodson haters. Which front seven would you rather have Green Bay's or NYJ. I'm sure you said NYJ. The front seven makes a difference.

Regardless of how much "protection" he has, picking off 6 passes and getting 31 pass deflections in a season is pretty damn impressive. That means he is getting his hand on the ball, not his "protection."

The Jets play predominantly Cover 1 and alot of Cover 0. They Blitz an unreal 57% of the time (league average is 38%) and they roll cover to the side of the field Revis isnt on forcing QB's to throw at Revis
The Jets also have Revis follow the other teams best receiver around. nnamdi lines up on one side of the field ALL THE TIME. No Scheme in the NFL puts more pressure on a corner than the Jets put on Revis.

@BigPrimo33 He gets help but he makes plays that other corners don't just by his presence on the field. All secondary's get help AKA football being a team sport. QB's have to look what side he is on to make sure they don't look over there. To say that nnamdi and cwood are better is purely over opinion, but at this point in time I believe he is the best in the league

Yeah and the Jets are always blitzing them or double teaming the guy that Revis isnt covering.. nmandi plays on one side of the field... Revis (with the exception of today where he was used to cover alot of different people) Follows the other teams best receiver around and locks him up 1v1

not a Raiders fan. I'm a HUUUUUUUGE Jets fan.. My point is the Jets scheme puts so much more pressure on Revis.
They blitz 57% of the time ( League average is 38%)
usually with their safeties leaving Revis out there with no help on every teams best Receiver.
They also roll coverage to the side of the field Revis isnt on alot forcing the team to throw to his side thats why he leads the league in Passes Def. by a wide margin.

the raiders predominately rush 4 and play man under cover 2 in pass coverage so nnamdi is forced to stay in coverage a long time and he gets no safety help either. revis on the other hand gets the advantage of a better pass rush and usually the jets play cover 1 with man under with the lone safety rolled to sheppard's side of the field. so both corners have no safety help but nnamdi has a worst pass rush and he plays about the same % of plays inpress man to man coverage as revis if not more.

Dude Tramon Williams, the other CB, gave up those big yards to Steve Smith. I am not sure about the other two because Woodson doesn't always cover the same WR throughout the game. He gets moved around.

Umm no he didn't. Dude I am a die hard Packer fan and watched the game and Tramon Williams gave up that big catch that landed Smith about 5-6 yards short of the endzone. I know he did because I was mad at Williams for doing so.
