I don't care if you work in acute hospital in 3 different countries. By the way update of BLS, ACLS, First aid etc. is not every 3 years it is every 5 years and the responsible for that is the ILCOR. If you know all the critical concept of CPR you will know why i said "STUPID"
thats not a stupid CPR!!!! he is performing a Demonstration to teach others, I use to teach the same cpr class for red cross 13 yrs ago when I left the red cross manila I since work in acute hospital in 3 different countries (middle east, britain, and now USA) so far I never met anyone who can perform better CPR than me, I owe that to meticulous training that I have in red cross, CPR are mandatory updated every 3 yrs only the sequence are changed but principles and technique is always the same.
U call this stupid? Right or wrong CPR still CPR, its better this way rather than NO CPR AT ALL!!& how would u call a person who knows CPR but did nothing to save his victims life, all he can do is criticize liked u, what if u became the victim & fortunately theres only one person around who should provide ur help but just standing, staring at u & doing nothing just criticizing.thats STUPID.get that!!!
Yes you are right it is better to have CPR rather than no CPR at all but if you want to help or save the pt./victim with possible SCA-VF do the right way remember do no further harm that is one of the red cross goal so if your not following the critical concept of CPR your not helping and increasing that chance of survival of the pt./victim.
i'm glad u agree this time, & i agree with you, that somehow if u intend to help others it's better to know the proper techniques & latest guidelines of AHA,ERC & ILCOR. To avoid mistakes & further NO harm liked uve said. Likewise constant practice makes perfect & eventually when time comes u need to perform CPR u will have the confident & presence of mind what exactly u should do first & last.
Now if u will evaluate the video,it is applicable to laypersons. But basically the RED CROSS,AHA,ERC,ILCOR are doing their best to modify the guidelines for laypersons in a simple, easiest way to understand the manner, component &principle of CPR. But I suggest to those who want to show videos of any kind specially to teach others, (I know ur concern)but it would be better to study 1st the guidelines&comply techniques properly& NOT to confused others.
But if ull talk about for Health Care providers thats another story. Its an Advance Life Support with the use of Intubations, BVM-O2, AED, ECG reading&analysis & Drugs & IV infusion, sometimes even suctioning (secretion from the mouth)liked my case last month ago.The cause of unwitnessed SCA was aspiration that leads to Respiratory arrest to Cardiac arrest. The pulse restored enroute to hospital & the patient survived. Thank for for your reply, more power, take care & be safe!!!!

i just finished my CPR training today by the Red Cross Negros Oriental Chapter.
tama naman ang tinuro sa teacher dito sa video. pareho din sa tinuro sa amin.
this is the updated way of doing the CPR as adopted by REd Cross.

i think it should be BSI on first before survey the scene. it will be time delaying if you have to put on your BSI when you are on the scene.
