Ha. Doug Flutie was a 5'9 side slinger and he was a beast. Rich Gannon is a spitting image of Colt Brennan. And he had a great career. These people suck at there jobs. Alex Smith IS good, he has been in a different system every single year of his career, and on terrible offenses. Sadly, outside of Crabtree he hasn't had anywhere near an elite receiver, and he's been banged up almost as badly as David Carr.

Alex Smith is playing slightly better this year, and fortunately for him, they aren't giving it over to Nate Davis for a few more years, so if he finds success, he will keep the job.

Part 2 - The two things that they are mainly ripping him on (timing and size) are two of the easiest things that can be changed. He can get a trainer and bulk up to an acceptable weight and he'll learn to be in-sync with his receivers at Washington. And I think the fact that he'll be able to move the pocket is very helpful. But he may be like Jeff Garcia who will get "happy feet" something isn't there after a couple seconds. But that can probably be alleviated as well.

Part 1 - Do they not know what the Run And Shoot offense is? They need to go back and watch some Oilers, Lions, and Falcons games from the early-90s! It is all about anticipation. There are very few "routes" that the receivers have. They essentially line-up at the line of scrimmage, look at the coverage scheme, and then run based upon that coverage. So yeah, he's going to throw only when the receivers are open because they are basically add-libbing their route.

Jaws is a dumbass! The Run and Shoot System is all about anticipating what the Reciever is going to do next and being able to read the defense. Hes just mad cause he wasnt smart enough to run that system. Anyone who is able to break the accurracy record when their team throws 95% of the time is amazing. He has a quick release and I think his throwing motion will help in the NFL. Scrambling around in the pocket and being to sling it side arm is a plus. Downside, arm strength, can be fixed.

Jaws sayed he doesn't think Colt is consistent at delevering the ball with accuracy he broke the record for Accuracy and if people say it's the system there stupid because that would make it difficult he throws it like 40-50 times a game the yards are arguiable but to say his accuracy is in question is stupid. If u complete like 76% of ur passes and u throw that much then u gotta be accurate in order to do that.

Jaws, is pretty much all jaws....cOLT WILL DO FINE. I remember another QB who was drafted in the 6th round at #199, and he did ok for himself...His name was Tom Brady. Another late draftee in the 3rd round 82nd overall did ok too, his name was Joe Montanna, so Colt Brennans has to put some work in, but hes up to it. Time will be his teacher, as for Jaws-Ski he'll still be wishing he could have won Super Bowl XV. Colt will his true worth both on and off the field. Thats how he likes it.
