  • The closest we got to these two meeting was in Speechless.

  • What could have been if DC had known what Super Hero movies were back then?! Oh Nostalgia

  • could someone do a clip of the superman animated seires with dean cain and the batman/superman adventures with dean cain and val kimer

  • I'm probably going to regret this, but Christian Bale is a good actor, however, his Ego will be his undoing. (The temper tantrum he threw on the set of Terminator salvation.) I liked the Tim Burton/Joel Schumacher Batman movies. (Batman forever being my favorite.) Batman Begins was great.

The Dark Knight Sucked Badly, as did Superman Returns. Dark Knight was disappointing, while Superman Returns was badly miscast! (Even the extras in that movie were poorly cast.)

  • what's so disappointing about The Dark Knight?

  • Well, I felt the script was badly written. The characters are unsympathetic, (I'm talking about everyone except the joker, He was never a sympathetic figure, even in the comics...(except for Killing Joke.) And the way the introduced 2-face was very unsatisfactory. Finally, there was the ending. It just plain sucked! My god, The Crow City of Angels had a better ending than that!

  • idk but if that movie sucks then it wouldn't have gained positive praise from critics and wow.. that big pile of money.. but i guess its just your opinion and i respect that..

  • Say BBboy, you should do a sequel with a different song with clips from Superman Returns, Smallville and the modern Batman movies "Batman Begins" and "Dark Knight".

  • Two great superheroes! :)

  • Nice.

  • The 2 best superheroe movies ever and the guys that played them. That rocked.

Reeve and Keaton were the best.

  • Well what about Iron Man? the ultimate Marvel movie. And i know since you aren't into X-Men, what do you think of the character Wolverine? awesome rebel of a fellow isn't he?

  • who cares who was the best batman? jeez. Chris Reeve is better than anyone who ever played batman.

  • The only good thing on this movie is Cristopher Reeve

  • some folks may not have noticed that Mr. Bale once starred in a Steven Speilberg film called Empire of The Sun when he was just a boy. yeah, now like Keaton he's got two Batman films to his credit.

  • Well done. An excellent homage to the best Batman movie, although Christian Bale did a great job as Batman too. But Michael Keaton was the best. I never saw or liked Superman, but Christopher Reeves was Superman even after his accident and unfortunate death.

  • great but some of it is too slow

  • ahh,the classics!

  • Cool Beans!!!!

  • I love the concept but the video quality is just not good enough. You need to rip it from the DVDs. And some of the clips of Superman weren't well chosen.

  • yea, keaton.

The best batman there has ever been.

  • Until Christian Bale came along.

  • Keaeton and Bale are both excellent in their own respects

  • You mean Beetlejuice and Bale.

  • Nah, I actually meant Keaton ('scuse my previous typo) and Bale. How you got "beetlejuice" from the misspelling of Keaeton is beyond me =P

  • Cause the fact that he acts so much like Beetlejuice in and out of the costume, that I can't even take him seriously.

Also considering that he played the role of Beetlejuice in the movie.

  • What??! lol his performance as Beetlejuice and his performance as Batman are on two TOTAL opposite ends of the spectrum. Beetlejuice is a wacky, loud, crazy character and (Keaton's) Bruce Wayne/Batman is a dark, quiet, and brooding character. Why do you think he got such positive acclaim for playing Batman? It showed his amazing versatility as an actor; he could pull off both comedy and seriousness very well.

  • 1. Watch Keaton's jerky mannerism's and expressions as bruce wayne especially when he's talking to kim bassinger or Michelle Pfiffer for example. His movements in action scenes as Batman in Batman Returns was just as silly.

    2. He got acclaim, because the last batman anyone witnessed was adam west. Plus it was the 80's, expectations weren't as high as they are now.

  • 1. His 'jerky mannerisms' are meant to re-enforce the fact that Keaton's Wayne is isolated from society and, thus, socially awkward.

    2. Ok...if you want to use that train of thought, then the same can be said of Bale; he got acclaim because the last batman anyone witnessed was Clooney's.

    3. The late 80s weren't that long ago man...standards of today are not all THAT different.

  • 1. If you say so. Who cares honestly, it still sucks.

    2. True, although Bale is undeniably a better actor.

    3. That's 20 years. And people expectations of films have increased significantly. You couldn't come out with a script like Batman and Batman Returns now. Te film would make money cause it's the Batman franchise, but public opinion would probably be that it's cheesy.

I can't believe you're so serious about this crap

  • 1. lol it sucks? Thats ur opinion. With the 89 film being the highest grossing Batman film out of all of them (& one of the highest grossing films of all time) I beg to differ

    2. Um were not examining their acting credentials in their entirety. Were looking at how each actor portrayed the Batman character. Both were convincing in their own respects. U cant deny Keaton had his moments

    3. Expectations hve realy increased; just look @ spiderman 3 & daredevil; excllent movies

  • 1. Who cares? Money is equivalent to hype, not necessarily quality. Blair Witch Project made a ton of money too, I guess that's an Oscar winner also.

    2. I am. Bale so far is the better/more convincing/more humanly relateable Batman.

    3. That's for agreeing with me.

  • 1. lol...Batman '89 actually is an oscar winner (again the only Batman film to have one under its belt). But sorry your right, Furst's sets, Elfman's score, Nicholson's performance; there really was no redeeming quality to be found in any of this... /sarcasm

    2. That's a matter of opinion. Both had their storng points and weak points (e.g.; bale's OTT voice as Batman)

    3. Np, you seem to know quality movies; Daredevil being one of them

  • I never mentioned daredevil.

  • He's got ya there JerZeeBoi, Holy Shit he countered every single one of your points! And U could not cancel out any of his! Just like logic is unrelenting cant hide truth. On another point, Bale is a FAR cry from the Batman! Bale is like some kind of looser, crying all the time

  • & dude, your replying back to my comments; so ur taking this just as "seriously" as i am

  • Excellent maintaining a cognitive mind sir. Your experienced in logic and arguement: Like any Batman fan actually would be, since thats what Batman is suppose to be the total master of. But

I think U mistaken on one point; Bale had no strengths. Not a one. An imposter. A criminal

  • Uh...if you guys noticed, that guy Jerzeyboi stopped replying to your comments months ago. It's pretty safe to say it's a dead topic and he probably doesn't care either way.

  • "Uh...." is that sarcasm? So pathetic at are you.Further blackOasis, you said "guys" as in plural. I'm the only one respondin 2 their convo, look at the times,if U didnt notice. And if someone shuts up it does not follow its a dead topic. If he didnt care dont make it dead either.Czizzi made it dead by finishing the truth.

  • But it's not truth, it's just his opinion.

  • And for the record Czizzi didn't really counter any of Jerzeeboi's points any less than he did the other. It's all a matter of opinion.

My personal opinion is Michael Keaton is okay when he's in the costume, but once out he's a frickin goofball. "Cmon! You wanna get nuts!?"

    How corny...

Only thing bad about batman begins was Ms. Holmes.

  • Also if you would clarify "How pathetic at are you" I'd appreciate it, thanks.

  • It was the sarcasm "uh.." that I found pathetic. But Czizzi didnt give opinion, he proved by logic. Is it your opinion that 3+2 equals five? No that's not an opinion. That's logic, immutable reason. Czizi gave logical points and guy could not counter.Truth remiained. Opinion is if U think Keaton is hansome and Kilmer is ugly.THATS opinion.

  • Nah.

Logic is not comparing one actor from another based on sales/score/supporting actors. Batman the film won an award, not Keaton and I'm sure if one of the two gets an Oscar first, it will be Bale. Jerzeeboi was stating his opinion that he felt Bale was a better actor/Batman. THAT is also considered opinion.

  • True logic is not that which U point out;it's using those sales/scores/prestige to show it wasnt simply his opinion. Thats logic,he wasnt comparing actors on that case as U say;rather reactin 2 da claim "it's simply his opinion".On every point he conquers thru logic.Yeah film won award, and Keaton was IN it

  • So what? Keaton was IN the film, but he didn't receive award for best male performance. You can't use that as basis for one actor being better than the other. An opinion is a point of view--formed in the mind. It's unfair for you to place words in his mouth, claiming that it wasn't simply his opinion. Logic and formal principle of reasoning really are irrelevant in regard to his approval of Bale's performance over Keaton's.

  • I stand corrected;wasn't Jerzi saying its just cizzi's opinion, was Cizzi sayin it was Jerzi's opinion.Wut Cizz reactd to was "movie sukt",and used sales/scores/etc, as logical support. And opinion not a "point of view formed in mind" as judgement is also "point of view formd mind".Judgement is objective,Opinion is abstract both views percieved by mind

  • and "logic irrelevant to his approval of Bale over Keaton" of course not,And?? Logic does not effect opinion.Cizzi used logic show Keaton not Beetjuice, but batman. And logic 2 show Keaton an excellent Batman. Claimin I state Cizzi uses logic 2 show who better actor is your own idea.Never said that

  • lastly, U must be aware I kno Keaton get no award. So don't miss da point;a film got an award, a film he is IN. If you're goin 2 neglect Keaton as a fine actor 2 an award-won film he contributed to(he's BATMAN in it 4 christ's sake)then that's seriously blindsided."so wut" my ass!

  • Ah, you're right. Judgement is objective. Opinion is abstract. A person deciding which actor playing Batman is better is opinion, not judgement. If the world is not in unanimous agreement, it is therefore the subjective opinion of the individual's mind. Hence, logic has nothing to do with this argument. At best, Cizzi uses reasoning to decide which is better to him, but as we all know ticket sales and critics reviews usually tend to clash.

  • This is incorrect. Logic has everything to do w/the arguement. ANY arguement does, otherwise it ain't an arguement, just bickering and self declaring. Cizzi does not use reason 2 decide which is better to him. We just agreed Reason does not effect opinion. He uses logic 2 show He is Batman NOT beetlejuice. And he made Batman on his ability NOT by circumstance.

  • ComicbookGo is batmanpp by the way, didn't wanna confuse you. comicbookGo is usally for comix stuff, batmanpp for general.

  • Lastly, with all sincerity and politeness, I too am aware that Keaton was in an Academy Award winning film. Keaton is a pretty good actor. All of that is red herring. That is not what this argument is about. This is about who's the better actor/Batman. I believe you are neglecting Bale's track record in hindsight of Keaton's regarding the films they both were in. Especially Keaton post-Batman. He really has not been in many good movies since Batman Returns, which was over 15 years ago.

  • It is not a red herring. It is highly relevant. If the film recieves awards and he's the star, and he plays Batman, it's quite relevant to his portrayal as Batman. But U kept dismissing this, focusing on him not recieving a best actor award. THAT was a red herring. And the arguement aint who's a better Batman anyway. Another red herring of yours. Ironically, as U mentioned the term.

  • You're right, you never said that, Cizzi did but that's what you're implying by supporting his opinion.

  • Incorrect again. Cizzi never said that either, and U conceded I never said that. So it's only U saying it. This is your idea, and putting words in our mouths. I imply nothing btw, I state clearly what is here. If U state Cizzi+ I use logic 2 show better actor,we can see who's implying now.

  • I know you're surprised I'm still here. I make closures. And U seem reasonable enough, desereved response.

  • totally agree elpcmaster, Keaton will always be Batman, and Reeve will always be Superman. other posers will try, but these 2 actors, for me, defined the Hero's like noone else after them has. BTW, GREAT trailer! should have them meet face to face next time (if you can do that).

  • michael keaton is the baddest batman ever

he will forever be batman to me as well as chris superman
