A friend of mine has taken cough medicine for years to get a trip from it and it fucked up his brain so bad. alcohol is so harmful so many people die from alcohol every year. pot is illegal tho.

But I also believe cannabis has a damaging effect on the mind. I've been drawn to this conclusion based upon my experiences of a number of close friends who have been long term smokers and who have become noticeably slower, mentally. For me, damage to my body is far less important than damage to my mind.
