Game design? Awesome! As an aspiring designer myself (preferably in environments) it's great to see people like us being able to live as who they should be in the industry.
Love watching your video's Samantha, your truly a help to me, I always feel better about life after watching one of your video's. Keep them coming. ~ Stacy, Australia.
So happy to see you are well Samantha. Lots of love from Vancouver Island! If you are ever in Victoria I would love to have tea with you. Take care. You have been an amazing person for me and resource of inspiration in my transition. <3
I love your voice! Its so sexy to me. I keep listening your videos. And its not only your voice but the way you talk that make people feel warm and open. And you are beautiful. Your eyes, your eye brows, your lips, your hair... all are beautiful naturally.
I hope you are doing well. Enjoy your life Samantha.
so happy to see you smile go samantha go you can do it and i love your nails! remember you are an amazing woman already! keep smiling cause you are beautiful!
Samantha, Great to here from you. I was wondering how you were doing. I hope you get through this lull and get on with being exceptional. I have loved your videos and have been inspired by them. I am 26 days from my SRS and getting nervous. Keep us updated and show us your projects when you are ready.
I think you should work on mounting an "Up With Trans People!" show to tour high schools.
But seriously, what you're going through is pretty typical from what I've seen: a necessary psychological adjustment, introspective (and easily led into depression.)
Suggestion? We ARE an amazing bunch, and i suggest for you to share your transition with us is amazing as well. So unbeknownst to you, you're openess about not feeling amazing makes you all the more amazing. Thanks for all you do.
Samantha, that was TOTALLY AWESOME ! Yes, you need to be a lot more active & maybe that might also help your body get back to normal in your healing process as well. I hope you get better soon & know that YOU are a Shinning example to us all girl. Love you so much!
I totally agree that as Trans-people we need be exceptionally strong just to get out of bed. Even before figuring out that I am trans, life was hard (born premature w/ hydrocephalus) but it helped me to become the stronger person that I needed to be just to begin to understand and come to terms with my identity. It is that strength that creates a cohesive community so that we can help the subsequent generations!
you are the sweetest soul - be patient with the depression that may be stalking you dear one. It will pass ! it will trust that - please. You're correct WE are amazing regardless of where on the gender spectrum we fall. - sometimes being amazing means being just OK. OK is good too. you are still in recovery - its a process of course and it is taxing fantastic that you are able to name it and be OK Its alright to be down your honesty will and does help others thank you !
Great update Samantha, nice to hear that things are what they are. Do keep looking at the half-full glass, adding a single drop of positive energy every day. The well that resides will most certainly be a boon some day later. All the best.
I love that despite the fact your recovery is taking a bit longer than you may have anticipated, you are still happy and optimistic for the future. Your videos always put a smile on my face. Watching your videos has turned my interest in gender studies from a 3 to a 10. I have read so much since first discovering your videos and am so excited that I will be attending SCC this September to learn more. Thank you and wishing you continued happiness.
Samantha, I really enjoy your videos and wanted to thank you for taking the time to record them for us. You're an extremely eloquent, intelligent and thoughtful person and it really shows in your videos. Watching you is indeed educational for me: not only do I learn more about life and human beings in general, I also learn new English words and more about trans benefits and difficulties. I'm an 18 year old Swedish cissexual girl who thinks you're awesome! Take care and I wish you all the best!
@resonemang Also, because you said in an earlier video you were curious: I have watched many FTM trans videos on here (because I'm a lesbian and lots of these trans straight men identified as lesbian before they came out) but you're the first MTF I've watched regularly. I found you through Warren Kunce's channel and we hit it off immediately... at least virtually and very one sidedly. :) I want to know more about what it means being a lesbian in the world today and you're helping me. Thank you!
@resonemang Hi there, I totally relate to your post, I'm a bio/cis queer female & watch a lot of FTM & dyke vids; Samantha is the first MTF I feel connected to in that youtube, virtual, "wow that person is awesome" way, not that other MTF's aren't awesome, I just haven't watched too many MTF vids; I did see a few of Krista's vids after learning about her through Samantha's talking about her suicide and I would have liked to have connected with her too, she seemed really sweet..
its very hard after surgery, i had a very minor surgery it took me year to recover, the lack of energy is naff but it returns, maybe some of the anasthetic stays in the system for a while, love Joy
Hello :) must be hard to go from a zillion miles an hour to a steady crawl, time heals so give yourself some ok, oh and hope you enjoy great success with" the project" and are enjoin your summer, well as best you can. X Hugs Samantha
Hang in there girl! I too an recovering from a serious surgery (left radical nephrectomy) and I seem to want to get back to life and feeling 100% at the speed of light but the universe is also not cooperating. I am working very hard at patience, so go easy on yourself, I am with you and know where you are :)
Samantha!!! Great to see you doing soo well.Don`t rush yourself.Take it slow.At least that is what i will do when my turn comes up to have my surgery done.Savour every moment as you would fine wine. You will be back to your stressful life soon enough.Where deadlines & obligations seem to eatup our time.I am preop and getting more static everyday from my boss as i become more feminin in apearence.Think he wants me to leave.Oh! well life sucks at my end.Wish you well.Keep in touch.Hugg & kiss.Bye!
@underloved1 Patience is a virtue. It seems like I have to learn this over and over and over... Good luck at your job! (don't quit, even if they hate you... if they fire you then you have grounds for a lawsuit)
@SamanthaZero34 Thankyou for your reply. They have tightened the screws to me a little tighter this week. Now i can only work 6 hours a day.Slowly turning my paycheck into a joke. It`s more like starvation pay the way i see it.Luckly i don`t eat much.True times are slow at the job so i can see their excuse.Fireing me would be more mercyful than torturing me this way.Got to start sending out CV`s.Can`t take much more of this crap.Wish you recover quickly so you can get back to all the fun stuff xoxo
I find that T-folk are very in tune with there minds and body. Being such I think we are sensitive to "us" and react accordingly. So we may have that gut feeling that I am just not 100% yet when the rest of the world is oblivous to how we feel at the moment. Maybe 100% is how we present ourselves after years of living behind walls and the facade. Who Knows! But I am glad you share this part of yourself as it will help those that follow us to the Emerald City or ulimately to home and peace. J
,,,,i too wanna be a amazing - but instead of being a wannabe amzing person, i try to allow myself too just let it go - allow that time will recover me, and give me strenght to face and accept the things that suck in life...
So in the words of Vonnegut (you know i strongly recommend reading him) ;
i have heard from others that suporn takes like 6 months to fully be totally recovered, but that its well worth the wait. i guess i will find out in a couple more years when i get enough money
Hi Samantha, new fan here, really like ur vids & getting 2 know u! from my vantage point, it seems 2 me u're doing it just right! i'm an able-bodied person married 2 a disabled woman; this has given me a new perspective on health & the things that matter in life - connection & The Now (prolly other things 2 i have yet to learn!). hang in there & go at the pace you are able. the good news is that it's temporary. :) lookin forward to hearing/seeing your new creative endeavors :) Natasha
@sillyyetsuccinct I should read it! Actually I'm not a huge reader... I just started reading Wicked and my progress has been very flat. Too much of a technofile to sit and look at paper for an extended period of time... The technology sickness of our generation :-P
