@Goldenbell001 In part, what you say is true, but it is because not only Korean and Japanese were imitating French and American music. Hibari was hated by many traditionalists in Japan because she was singing the music of the countries defeated them in WWII. She began to sing real Japanese music some years latter. : )

The acordion, the guitar and the rythm in this music has NOTHING to do wiht the Asian culture. Before this, she was singing mainly Japanese military songs, her father´s favourites.

Amazing of similarity in musical taste of the era between Korea and Japan. If words were changed, it could have been misunderstood as vice versa...
