Oh no,i didn't your fire alarm broke.that stinks, that alarm was cool.I didn't tell you this but befor my pull station broke,I had a est genesis from two years ago when I first tested the fire alarm the horn only made a click sound and the strobe ramained flashing and I was upset that the horn would not go off

so the next day I tought of sticking the fire alarm in the plug outlet would mak the horn work,but insted it cought fire and distroied the components.its not fun to lose fire alarms.

fried on it maybe the ultra sonic sound diafram or devise overheated and melted

on it explanes the hot metal sent you smelled

witch means the horn was bad from the start

maybe faulty compastor.

HOLD IT!! Sometimes my power supply overheats and the alarm stops working, just let the battery cool off for an hour and try it again

No, I tried it the next day. Then I looked inside of the alarm and it was all black and it smelled like dead metal.
