Your Playing is Phenomenal. I stopped playing Strats simply for the same reason that I heard on this clips opening. With the Clean chaneel you hear every fret. I call it 'Fretty' sounding..like a Tink, tink, tink..I hate that sound. ,However when you kick in that 2nd, and 3rd Channel on this Laney VH100R it all dissapears, and again your Mr Guitar Shred Man!! Keep up the great Playing. You kick ass. As For as me, I play PRS Guitars now. I still miss my Strats, but not that tinking sound. See Ya.

Just boost it with an OD. The only difference a HB makes is creating 2x more input into the amp, so if you boost the input 2x on your strat that it will sound creamier and less 'fretty'. Check people likes Hendrix's tone in Hear my train a comin' on youtube.

I use a g-major of t.c. electronics in fx loop but thats all,

no fx just pure laney...

my vol. is at 2.5 approx.

there is a combo version of it which is called the VC50 it is the same amp as the VH100R as far as i know, even the control plate is exactly the same but upside down

I got a VH100R also into an Avatar 2x12 w/ Vintage 30's. I also have a Maxon OD808 in front of it. Needless to say, yeah this amp rules. 4 modes, 6L6 or EL34, 100 watts, 600 FX loops, tube driven reverb, and may I add, the amp TRACKS REALLY WELL for a tube head!!! I had a Dual Recto for YEARS and always felt like it didn't track very well....
