Hi guys! I was at a health-store, because i have lost a lot of hair after my accutane-treatment.
They told me, i was suffering from a lack of vitamin, which is seen really often after an accutane-treatment.
The reason why i lose hair is, the cells which produce hair, has been weakened. I have been unable to regrow hair, because of the big lack of vitamins and minerals. But that is only because of the weak cells, they will get regenerate in 1-3 months, if i keep taking the vitamins.
I had the same problem about 5 months ago too! I started to take Biotin and it really helps! I bought the Target brand and they're really easy to take because they're so tiny. I also didn't want to brush my hair either! And everytime when I wash my hair and see them going down the drain, it made me really sad. LOL. I didn't use any aloe vera on my hair though. Maybe I'll try that next time. :D But my hair problem has been doing better. I have tons of baby hair now!
Thank you so much! I have been so freakin scared lately, because of my hairloss, caused by accutane. It's really nice to see somebody who actually is trying to help, and not just scare. I will definately try your treatments. Thanks! Btw, your skin have become really pretty! :D
@GoComando2 I can tell because my ponytail is much smaller than before. It's hard to tell on camera. I don't sell those products. You can find them at a drugstore, Wal-Mart, Target, and even healthfood stores.
@nonyobuziness and how often do you use the aloe vera gel? everytime you shampoo/conditioner? and if you don't mind which shampoo/conditioner do you use? you mentioned kirkland but can you let me know the specific name? again, thanks again
@huongshirley I tried using the aloe everyday. But I've been lazy lately. I shampoo everyday due to oily hair. But when I was on accutane every 2-3 days. I use the Kirkland Professional Salon moisture shampoo. It's in a purple bottle. Just google the reviews.
@nonyobuziness okay one more thing, your hair looks fine now, at any point or even now .. have you had an noticeable bald spots? your front looks good, because my problem is near the crown and the back area.. thanks i appreciate your videos a lot
hi, i've taken accutane for 6.5 months and i've seen hair loss like crazy as well. i'm really scared this will be permanent.. i've been off of it for about a month and a half. i was wondering how your hair is doing now and can i cure it before it gets worse?
@huongshirley As I am growing a lot of baby hair, I'm still losing a lot of old hair still. I think it's going to take awhile to get it back to normal. I might try to detox my body to see if that works.
This video was very helpful. I'm been taking Accutane for almost a month on 20mg and my hair has just been coming out. :| My skin is getting better already though, so I'm very conflicted on weather to stop or not. Also do you use any special kind of shampoo too? I can relate on not wanting to brush your hair really. I'm the same way right now. I know a person loses about 50-100 hairs a day or whatever. But man. Aha.
@OMGPIKAJEW I would talk to your Doctor if you should stop. I stopped after 4 months because the drug was driving me crazy. I use the Kirkland shampoo from Costco in the purple bottle. It seems to be working well because I don't experience much hair loss in the shower. I've read reviews about this shampoo before I bought it, and it seems to help reviewers with their hair loss. I heard about the the average hair loss too. I guess I'm losing 200-300 strands. hehe.
Hey. I also have the same problem after taking Accutane i've been off for a month and there is hair all over the floor and it keeps falling out. I just started the biotin and aloe vera. I wanted to know how its working for you so far.
@navonod1981 Hi. I am experiencing hair growth. But at the same time, I am still losing a little bit of hair, but not as much as before. I really feel that the aloe does prevent hair loss. I do notice, however, that if I stop for a few days of the vitamins, I start to shed mor. So, I would use it religiously everyday. Let me know how it goes for you. Good luck on regrowing it!

@ilovemyrattie15 It's not exactly back to normal, but I'm growing a lot of baby hair. The vitamins do really work.

@nonyobuziness Also, you're taking hair nail skin vitamins.. is biotin 1000 mcg or 5000 mcg just as good?
huongshirley 4 months ago
@huongshirley I would think the more the better. I would ask your doctor or pharmacist.

@huongshirley No noticeable bald spots. I think the loss is pretty evenly spread.
