I agreed on everything the guy said, except: you're forgetting that the prayer isn't for Allah. ( 2:44 ), stakhfarallah who says that? The prayer are indeed for Allah and for Allah only. To pray is a way of showing you're appreciation to everything Allah has blessed u with. But to pray still benifits us to get one step closer to Jannah.

mashAllah what a great explanation!!! i LOVE it. absolutely love how he explains it. i come across people like that in life and it's hard to convinced them otherwise. so i will pass on this video to them. JazzakAllah khair brother nouman ali khan! may Allah reward you.
@lipalmundo think of it this way brother/sister. you work so hard everyday to build a home and good life for yourself and family in this life (dunyaa) that is only temporary and will end one day. we all die one day. the next life (after judgment day) is a permanent life & wherever we end up (hell or paradise) it will be forever. so how hard do you work to build your home in the next life? your home in next life is permanent, so you should work even harder to make it the BEST.
@lipalmundo cant u use 30min in 24hrs!! at least 5min for a prayer every some hrs!!! SHAME ON U!! be wise and think twice every breath u take draws u near to ur GRAVE!! may Allaah guide us all!!
@mameen76 excuse me, i don' mean to butt in or anything, but the Quran tells us when to "call" for prayer. as in Azan i guess. Iqamat al Salat. dont know if you know arabic. but the prayers are five. and the Hadith agrees that they're five. umm good luck and bye!
@mameen76 well, in this case brother, you have to know what you're looking for. as in the literal meaning or the figurative meaning. now Salaat, though it does mean prayer, could mean worship. synonyms. Dua, in the literal translation, is a calling to God, and asking him for, say, forgiveness. BOTH are forms of prayer! you see? now worship, could be accomplished through Salaat, or when you're doing the things that God wants you to do or refraining from the things He doesn't want you to do, like
stealing, or lying, or cheating, etc... so Prayer, as in Salaat, is the formal term. when you're actually doing the prayer, as in worship. commitment however, is when you're committed to an idea or a certain ideal! so you could be committed without actually being in Salaat! Commitment to God, for example, is when all of your actions and words and goals, etc.. are for the appeasement of God and an answer to His requirements from you! Peace!
@bravebloodprince Lol i am more calm than a cool breeze, he ask us to serve him and how do you serve him?? by serving each other and obey and follow his orders which we supposed to live our lives every day by
@bravebloodprince We serve each other by being good to our parents, talk kindly to people , give charity( what you can afford) be good to your fellow neighbors... All that other bull chit does not matter if you cant get these things right..
@mameen76 well it's not bull shit. and of course you need to do good. that wasn't my point. these things are nonnegotiable. what did the prophet (Pbuh) say? "I wasn't sent but to perfect morals." and all the praying does matter, but one undergoes hisab for not being good with people. "Have mercy on those on earth and the One in the heavens will show his mercy unto you."
@bravebloodprince Well i guess this is where we disagree, :-) Islam is based on what he say, they say , who saw what.. That's why we are divided among us ...
@mameen76 well you don't need to take the hadiths that have suspicion in them. take the ones that you can benefit from as a human being. things that would help you in your daily prayer and dua. as for hadiths that set people apart, well you can always go back to interpretations of the Quran and the sources of the hadiths and its explanations in order to get a clearer picture of it. im not telling you who's right or wrong. im just telling you what i think is the right thing to do. its what i do.
@mameen76 i didnt mention the Quran. i mentioned hadiths. and there are weak and strong hadiths (weak and strong as in their source and authenticity). and this is a very debated issue in islam nowadays, whether the prophet pbuh truly said this thing or that. i was just saying that, if you have some problems with what he or she or they said, go back to the hadiths and abide by the ones that are strongly authentic. that's all. peace bro! sorry if i got off the topic :P
@bravebloodprince I understand your point , but my question was why would you use something that we are not sure if the source is authentic or not... Off subject question, Do you really think that islam is about what the prophet did do and did not do or said?
@mameen76 well, yes i do think so. And what the Quran mentions of course. but that doesnt mean that people are following either one of them. sadly. starting with sheiks and down to the people.
@bravebloodprince I don't think so , to me islam is about serving allah by doing good. what the prophet did do and did not do does not matter in today's world
@mameen76 why dont they matter? i mean, he didnt do something horrible. he taught good morals and everything. and Quran tells us, and im paraphrasing, "What the Prophet taught you, then follow it, and what he forbade, stay away from." what do u think?
@bravebloodprince How can you follow or obey a man who died thousands of years ago?? I do not think it matters , infact i know it does not matter , we have the quran and we no longer need a messenger that's why we dont have one among us today
@mameen76 by following the rules and the principles he spread among the people and asked them to follow as well. despite the fact that no one cares today about the prophet and what he did or said. but the idea is, to always be the best in your character with people and in true in your prayer to God. if u do this, then i guess you're all set. oh, and stay away from extremism. it's... not nice. just to stay simple.
@bravebloodprince The rules may have apply to the people at that time, how ever we have the quran that teaches us basic laws for mankind that we should abide by..
@bravebloodprince Be good to your parents, talk kindly to people, give charity, be good to your neighors.. Generally do goodthings and not commit shirk
@mameen76 so you dont want to be good to your parents? you dont want to talk kindly to people? you dont want to give charity? you dont want to be good to your neighbors? you want to commit shirk? these are things that you think can't serve the petty period of time between the era of the Prophet (Pbuh) and today? you think a lot has changed? you think things should get looser today? that we need to keep up with modernization? that we can't be civilized unless we act... cool?
@aiund123 You babbled a whole lots of things with out one quranic proof .... Allah did not mention any of this in the quran , so why should we do it?? How can some one who die 1400 years ago could be our role model?? lol if allah showed prophet muhammad how to pray the way we pray today ... show me the ayats
@2urita God dammit people, he married her when she was nine but she didnt move in with him until she was mature! and women back then in those days and at those places used to mature faster than out petty women today! let go of this dude! good luck and take care!
What a brilliant answer!...I was exactly like the person who wrote the query BUT I have changed (Alhumdulillah) just two weeks back and now I pray regularly...no excuse...praying is my duty and I MUST do it...says Allah (swt) and I will offer salat (Insha-Allah) no matter what happens in my life.
@mitcheltuip You have a very stereotypical & narrow-minded viewpoint of the muslim faith and I really feel sorry for you. Please let me help you because you need it. A word of advice for you my friend- I don't think it's a good idea for you to criticise and show hatred towrads a religion you obviously know nothing about, I promise you that if you knew what the religion of Islam was truly about you would'nt say such shallow, meaningful things. You need to stop watching CNN and do some homework!
@stuartw12345612 bro i dont know what your problem is but you obviously have alot of deep rooted aggression and you actually might need an outlet take care man and God bless!!!
@MegaBlackDynamite, i dunno i think i was high on crack or pcp that night?!! maybe i do need an outlet? since then i have taken care of myself and got back on the track to righteousness, you haven't gone backwards while i've been going forwards have you?
@MegaBlackDynamite your Deen(faith) is a journey.A sometimes difficult one but one will transform your life. And Allah swt will lead and guide you through the bends of the path. Turn to Allah swt (God) and talk openly about your fears and concerns and ask for strength. And also take little, doable steps that you can definitely do. Like okay, " I am going to pray one time a day" first and work your way up. Or "I am going to learn one Dua (prayer) and that will be a big accomplishment.
@MegaBlackDynamite and remember your journey is between you and Allah swt you do not have to answer to any human or their opinions of where you should be.Only Allah swt knows your journey.Turn to Allah swt and ask for Guidance. One day inshaAllah, the things that seemed impossible and were so difficult will be a memory for you and the things you thought you could never do will have become easy for you. May Allah swt Guide us all to the Straight path and fill our hearts with Light and Peace Ameen
@MegaBlackDynamite MashAllah brother, i will always pray that Allah SWT guide you the right path and you take that step. Please keep on thinking about the blessings of Allah that is bestowed upon us and the Beauty that ISLAM the religion has for human kind. :)
@hoonaful What proof have you got that your god exists? Also can you disprove the existence of the gods of other religions.
You only think your religion is the real one because you were indoctrinated in to this religion. If you'd been born in to a Hindu family or been surrounded by Hindus then you'd almost certainly believe in the Hindu Gods.
@mikeyo1234 Actually that is not true... according to islam every person is born as muslim and then it is his/her family and society which makes him hindu athiest or other.... that is why when someone convert we call it revert and not convert as u come back to ur original again. A kid in islam is innocent and a believer, enough evidence leads to proves where islam has 100000 of but not even one evidence can be found that there is no god. so the first statement for us is that there is a god b
@mikeyo1234 ---- what made u come to this conclusion???? actually having not religion is not true we all are slaves of our needs or wishes or opposite sex money or other....cuz if u dont beleive in a religion u believe in ur self so u are actually in religion of the satan... think about it....
Bad things happen because they do. If there was no bad, we wouldn't know what good is. And just because you think something's bad, doesn't mean it actually is.
Who created the creator is an irrational question. Cause and effect is a law of the universe, you can't apply it outside the universe. You can only say the universe was caused by something before it and nothing else.
@slasher777gmail "Who created the creator is an irrational question" - please explain why?
"You can only say the universe was caused by something before it and nothing else" - This cause was not necessarily a 'creator'. You seem to believe that there has to be a creator for the universe to exist, so by that reasoning "Who created the creator?" is not an unfair question to ask using your same logic.
Bad things happen because they do. If there was no bad, we wouldn't know what good is. And just because you think something's bad, doesn't mean it actually is.

@mikeyo1234 ..... every thing has its top and an end... ---- when we say creator then we are talking about THE TOP and THE END of all creations.....so u have reached to the wrong question... how about thinking about who created the heavns and the earth...science has proven that it cant be happend without any creator as it is imposible...do u know that????
If anyone has a confusion about why it HAS to be 5 times a day, it is simply because it is
1) it is a Allah's (S.W.T) command as mentioned in Quran.
2) the logic (as explained by Dr. Zakir Naik) is that just as we say that atleast 3 meals a day is appropriate enough to keep our body healthy, similarly 5 times of Salah is ideal to keep our soul healthy, as long as you concentrate on the prayer.
The explaination is very brief. Refer to this link
@punjabii007 Tut tut tut- I see you are another victim of the media's indoctrination of the human mind. People like you suffer from a disease, this disease is worse than HIV & Cancer put together- this disease that your suffering from is called islamophobia! You need help and quick. let me prescribe something for you- it won't cost you anything I promise, all you have to do is open your mind! Your shallow & stereotypical views will only harm you nobody else I promise you- go do some homework!
MASHAALLAH!!! I just realized that i was wrong, Astaghfirullah! I thought i was a good muslim because i was morally good. But now i realize that i never was religiously good i.e. I never gave sadaqa or prayed all 5 times....
some people are not so self confident like you to pray on the street , but i do not thing that this make then less in the eyes of the merciful god.
i am happy that my parents weren't so severe to me , they told its even ok if i pray once a week ,b'cos god is so mercyful and kind this made me so fall in love with god that i do consider myself a believer , and i am pretty sure that allah loves me too b'cos i feel his love and rahmat every day ....
Allah loves us all! HE created us! His love is 70 times the love of a mother. But i think what he said is absolutely right. You say you 'feel his love and rehmat every day...' but do you thank Him for that? you pray to Him just once in a week, when the rehmat is every second with ye? Ofcourse he's merciful and Rahman, otherwise non-muslims would have died jz because they don't pray.
he didnt explain it well. the person who asked question simply wanted to get some instruction which will make it easier for him/her to pray, while the Imam just corrected his question :D
Mashallah is a religious freak, and so are you. Someone should put you in a zoo where you belong. "Look daddy! A religious man praying to magical creatures!" Religious people make me sick.

Souless? What does that mean? If you're saying I'm not a happy person you're wrong. How about appreciating life on earth and science instead of inventing fake gods?
If you're happy living your life believing that then why do you feel the need to insult people who believe in religion...
Souless, meaning you deny your creator. Live your life blindly by your own rules.. Its funny how atheists live their life not thinking about their last breath..
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You can't even give me a proof of a creator, you just preach it like all the other religious nuts. People like you don't know shit about science so you pick the easiest answer, an answer you can understand. "God did it!". Tell me how you know god exists? You feel him in your heart and soul don't you? Then I feel the tooth fairy in my soul, I know she's real, because I feel her warmth. I also feel Santa claus every christmas in my soul. They're real becaue I feel them.
You can't give me proof there isn't a creator.. Don't tell me I dont know anything about science, I love science and in fact if you'd take a slight interest in the religion you would realize that Islam thrives in scientific knowledge.. But instead you resort to bad language and insults.. After all of the garbage you have replied with you still didnt answer my question below.. Sad..
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I can't give you proof, that's the thing. I can't give you proof Santa claus doesn't exist, but do you believe in him? If you're into science and still believe the bible/quran is from god, then you are not very clever.
@1Waddup I am proud of you. Keep it up with your anti-islam rants.
Spread the word, Prophet Muhammad practised Mufa'khathat on babies and toddlers. Muslims do not want to know that word Mufa'khathat. Muhammad did it on Aisha and on his child cousins.
establish the Pillars, Conditions & Rules of the Shahadah, & of course surround yourself with righteous companions, & not the friends of Shaytaan. THIS will help you in all of your affairs, not just salat!
do you know the Pillars, Conditions & Rules of the Shahadah? as i said before, if you establish them it will help you in all your affairs! This is the first Pillar of Islam. the other 4 follow on from this...
ya know i say to my self everyday in the heavens an the earth allah exercises universal power !! an then i say allah created me from nothing i was nothing allah said be an it is an i said that allah gave me speech so who knows more than the one who created me an gave me speech same to knowledge who gave u a brain allah gave me a brain an allah gave me an obligation an i must obey my lord
It would be interesting to note that this is a particular type of Islam....NOT actually Islam. Islam does not preach marrrying young girls. This is called Wahhabism. Characterised by shaven moustaches and long beards. It finds its roots in Arab ignorance and affluence. The militant part of which is Taliban and Al Qaida. It has nothing to do with Islam. Islam like Christianity is Peace Loving religion.
Keep drinking the kool-aide. Yes, you can free yourself from the need for Allah. "Allah" is a man-made idea. The Quran is a man-written book. Yes, there are forces out there that we, as humans, do not understand, but that does mean that "Allah" and all the rules that come with Islam or any religion are correct. Yes, I am free of Allah!
You prove my point. It takes "dire situations" for organized religion to grow and sustain itself. Ever wonder why religion is so big in the poor countries.
Yes. because the poor don't take what they have for granted. Whatever much they have, they are thankful for it. The rich countries have turned away from the truth because they have an overabundance of material and they fail to be grateful to their Provider, Allah almighty. So, these poor people are way better than these ungrateful wealthy ones.
No, he didn't prove your point. He just proved your pathetic state that you'll probably come back to Allah once you are cornered and you are in a desperate situation. And that is ultimately what will happen. On the day of judgment you'll say the following : "I wish that I had not been given my Record!. And that I had never known, how my Account is? I wish, would that it had been my end (death)! My wealth has not availed me, My power and arguments (to defend myself) have gone from me!"
If there is an Allah, she would not have put us here to just thank her and pray to her and just give glory to her. Think about it. If you were Allah, you would make creatures to do anything but praise yourself. You make children in hopes that they will grow up to be good people. A computer programmer makes a program to do something other than just repeat "thank you programmer." Listen to what you are saying.
You have this incredibly narrow perception that Allah think and act like a regular human with average intellect. If thats your god, you are quite right then to not worship him. You shouldn't. Thats a pretty pathetic god.
Allah/ the god does not think/act like you and me. Your prayer doesn't benefit Allah and your rejection doesn't cause any harm to him. Say there is no god all u want. But once u start an argument assuming thr is a god, don't assert tht u know or can know the mind of god.
No, no, no. I never said there wasn't a god. My point is that there could be a god, but if there is a god, she would have made us to do actual things in li

ISLAM = CULT, not religion
MUHAMMAD = CONMAN, not the true prophet ever chosen by God
QURAN = WORK OF FICTION with self-contradictory verses
ALLAH = SATAN IN DISGUISE, not God
TRUE GOD = love, compassion, forgiveness, peace, tolerance, freedom, joy, etc.

A word of advice for you my friend- I don't think it's a good idea for you to criticise and show hatred towrads a religion you obviously know nothing about, I promise you that if you knew what the religion of Islam was truly about you would'nt say such shallow, meaningful things. Or "I am going to learn one Dua (prayer) and that will be a big accomplishment.
figandpomegranite 1 year ago
@MegaBlackDynamite and remember your journey is between you and Allah swt you do not have to answer to any human or their opinions of where you should be.Only Allah swt knows your journey.Turn to Allah swt and ask for Guidance. One day inshaAllah, the things that seemed impossible and were so difficult will be a memory for you and the things you thought you could never do will have become easy for you. May Allah swt Guide us all to the Straight path and fill our hearts with Light and Peace Ameen

@hoonaful What proof have you got that your god exists? Also can you disprove the existence of the gods of other religions.
You only think your religion is the real one because you were indoctrinated in to this religion. If you'd been born in to a Hindu family or been surrounded by Hindus then you'd almost certainly believe in the Hindu Gods.
mikeyo1234 1 year ago
@mikeyo1234 Actually that is not true... according to islam every person is born as muslim and then it is his/her family and society which makes him hindu athiest or other.... that is why when someone convert we call it revert and not convert as u come back to ur original again. A kid in islam is innocent and a believer, enough evidence leads to proves where islam has 100000 of but not even one evidence can be found that there is no god. so the first statement for us is that there is a god b

@MegaBlackDynamite Why do bad things happen if God is loving? Who created the creator? Prayers have been scientifically disproven.
mikeyo1234 1 year ago
@mikeyo1234

Refer to this link

sorry but i think you are a bit too stiff.
some people are not so self confident like you to pray on the street , but i do not thing that this make then less in the eyes of the merciful god.
i am happy that my parents weren't so severe to me , they told its even ok if i pray once a week ,b'cos god is so mercyful and kind this made me so fall in love with god that i do consider myself a believer , and i am pretty sure that allah loves me too b'cos i feel his love and rahmat every day ....
mymomcantcook 2 years ago
Allah loves us all! HE created us! His love is 70 times the love of a mother. But i think what he said is absolutely right. You say you 'feel his love and rehmat every day...' but do you thank Him for that? you pray to Him just once in a week, when the rehmat is every second with ye? Ofcourse he's merciful and Rahman, otherwise non-muslims would have died jz because they don't pray.

Your parents told you that it's ok to pray once a week, What did Allah tell you to do, pray 5 times a day.
So who has higher authority, Your parents? or Allah in his INFINITE Wisdom.
If you are only praying once a week, and Allah ordered you to pray 5 times a day, your missing 34 prayers a week, that's bad, that's haram
com1112 2 years ago
no i think your being a bit too stiff..
what you are trying to say is that you beleive in your mothers word more than Gods word..
Your mother says pray once a week to Allah..
Allah himself says pray 5 tims a day..
who do you think is right..?
and just to let uno, God is not merciful to people who reject wat he has to say..
Allah has asked you to pray 5 times a day, why dont you do it?
are you ashamed to bow down to your lord who created you?

CaptEm1 2 years ago
You can't give me proof there isn't a creator.. Don't tell me I dont know anything about science, I love science and in fact if you'd take a slight interest in the religion you would realize that Islam thrives in scientific knowledge.. But instead you resort to bad language and insults.. After all of the garbage you have replied with you still didnt answer my question below.. Sad..
somedude890 2 years ago 6
This comment has received too many negative votes show
I can't give you proof, that's the thing. I can't give you proof Santa claus doesn't exist, but do you believe in him? If you're into science and still believe the bible/quran is from god, then you are not very clever.

this video is not about prooving that a creator exists. the person who asked this question already establishes the answer to this

KiheiLawyer 2 years ago
Nobody can free themselves from the need of Allah, since he is our Sustainer.
aslan45 2 years ago 2
Keep drinking the kool-aide. Yes, you can free yourself from the need for Allah. "Allah" is a man-made idea. The Quran is a man-written book. Yes, there are forces out there that we, as humans, do not understand, but that does mean that "Allah" and all the rules that come with Islam or any religion are correct. Yes, I am free of Allah!
KiheiLawyer 2 years ago
You are truly ignorant. I'd like to see you proclaim you are free of Allah when you are in a dire situation.
aslan45 2 years ago 3
You prove my point. It takes "dire situations" for organized religion to grow and sustain itself. Ever wonder why religion is so big in the poor countries.
KiheiLawyer 2 years ago
Yes. because the poor don't take what they have for granted. Whatever much they have, they are thankful for it. The rich countries have turned away from the truth because they have an overabundance of material and they fail to be grateful to their Provider, Allah almighty. So, these poor people are way better than these ungrateful wealthy ones.
aslan45 2 years ago 2
No, he didn't prove your point. He just proved your pathetic state that you'll probably come back to Allah once you are cornered and you are in a desperate situation. And that is ultimately what will happen. On the day of judgment you'll say the following : "I wish that I had not been given my Record!. And that I had never known, how my Account is? I wish, would that it had been my end (death)! My wealth has not availed me, My power and arguments (to defend myself) have gone from me!"
saqib09 2 years ago
If there is an Allah, she would not have put us here to just thank her and pray to her and just give glory to her. Think about it. If you were Allah, you would make creatures to do anything but praise yourself. You make children in hopes that they will grow up to be good people. A computer programmer makes a program to do something other than just repeat "thank you programmer." Listen to what you are saying.
KiheiLawyer 2 years ago
You have this incredibly narrow perception that Allah think and act like a regular human with average intellect. If thats your god, you are quite right then to not worship him. You shouldn't. Thats a pretty pathetic god.
Allah/ the god does not think/act like you and me. Your prayer doesn't benefit Allah and your rejection doesn't cause any harm to him. Say there is no god all u want. But once u start an argument assuming thr is a god, don't assert tht u know or can know the mind of god.
saqib09 2 years ago 4
No, no, no. I never said there wasn't a god. My point is that there could be a god, but if there is a god, she would have made us to do actual things in li
