greatest indian flutist-- T.R mahalingam,, flute prodigy from south india.. please everybody chek it out ,, i wanna upload but have shiity net connect,, so sry
A little bit weak on the improvisation. Also, he could have picked an interesting scale to work on - like a Byzantine, Arabian, Hindu or Gypsy type of scale - anything with a flat 9th and a sharp 7th (semitone at top and bottom). He's also not giving the flute a full sound. The "conversation" between flute and violin doesn't seem to be working, but perhaps this was an outtake?
Non a caso Rampal è definito il più grande di tutti i tempi..il suo suono e timbro sono una tavolozza infinita di colori.NESSUNO può ricreare la magia di Jean...è come la Callas, Leanardo da Vinci. Louis Armstrong....GRANDE 4EVER

They are trying hard to fly the carpet. Alas, it doesn't work. All because of the bloody Newton. It just hangs down.

Is there anything that man CAN'T do?

Not on a flute, there isn't.

@Tuilelen
Yes, Clearly Rampal is out of his depth in Indian music.
This is some marketing guys idea of a good match because Rampal was famous, not because Rampal studied even the basics of Indian music.
Try listening to some Indian flutists and get a clue.
