I've seen this entire anime and read most of the comics. I thoroughly enjoyed both but I preferred the anime because of its characters being more deep and interesting. I also liked the designs even though it's a bit pervy. xD But Witchblade in general is just plain awesome.

Oh, and there's a dvd set on Amazon for the entire Witchblade television series, which is a worthy investment to make. =) I can't remember how many episodes in all, but there's an average four to three episodes per disk, and there are seven disks.

Erm. You guys need to pick up the Witchblade: Orgins book to get the original comic that first introduced the Witchblade with its bearer Sara Pezzini, an NYPD homicide detective. The artwork, which was astonishing and beautiful, was done by Michael Turner. There are some hybrid stories with other comic heros. And there's a television series, live action, with Yancy Butler. They did an excellent job with the story, characters, and the graphics used. Unfortunately it ended after the second season.
