  • Actually, the Count was mistaken too. Snuffy jumped only eighteen and a half times. He sailed onto the roof on his nineteenth.

  • What if this scene had been shot during the time when the cast didn't believe Snuffy was real? Suppose Big Bird decided to use this opportunity to make his friends finally see him, but just before they got inside, Snuffy went flying up onto the roof, so once again, they didn't believe him.

  • My top 3 favorite muppets from Sesame Street are Big Bird, Snuffy and Barkley

  • I'm surprised that the Count hardly ever looses count

  • I guess it would take a crane to get him down?

  • cool that reminds me of the episode when snuffalupagus breaks his neck.

  • Around what year was this?

  • I remember when I first saw this....I was scared outta of my mind that the gist of this skit was that the trampoline was going to break and snuffy would get hurt...XD thankfully that wasn't the case

  • I can't seem to find out but how much do you supposed Snuffy's suit weighed? It looks quite heavy

  • oh I remember this he ended up on the top of something.

  • I think I remember seeing this one in Spanish.

  • I love Snuffy and that his nose is a "snuffle"

  • Wow.

  • Only one question remains: how IS Snuffle-upagus going to get down?

  • Probably just lower himself down by his snuffle.

  • ^funniest thing i've read in a WHILE lol

  • Pause at 0:24!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • xD lol

  • "Whoa! Snuffy! Snuffy! Where did he go, Count?"

"I think somewhere over the rainbow."

LOL, I didn't remember this until I heard that. Thanks for this post.

  • Dude, this is like in the Muppets Wizard of Oz, "Over the Rainbow"? Get it? They have a close relationship!

  • I stopped watching long before the adults could see Snuffy. I was at my Moms and my Sisters kids were watching and to my surprise the adults were TALKING to Snuffy!!! I about had a stroke!!!!!

  • he is jumping on my trampoline.

  • I love Bird...but he sounds like the feminine voice of Michael Jackson

  • no, that would be janet jackson

  • I love snuffy!!!

  • i know lol

  • that is a STRONG trampoline.

  • the voice of "oh what a good idea" makse me laugh:)

  • does anyone have the video when the grown ups finallyy see Snuffy is real??

  • I was looking for that too.

  • The YouTube video of where the adults meet Snuffy for the first time was on YouTube but, the person who posted it has removed it.

  • oh pook!

  • It's weird. The view at 0:35---those painted buildings you see on the far right "across the street" are all gone now. Right where Big Bird is standing talking to the Count, all that's there today is the side of a big brick building (with ivy on it for a touch of realism). It's as if someone built a building smack dab in the middle of the crossing street. It doesn't make much sense to me---since there's no longer any "down the street" view, Sesame Street looks more like Sesame Courtyard.

  • you can teach a kinderganrdener trig if u explain it in the right way

  • I think it was sort of funny when the Count said that Snuffy jumped 19 1/2 times because Snuffy didn't come back down. There is only one thing wrong with that: you shouldn't mention fractions on a show for preschoolers because you can't teach little kids fractions.

  • Yeah IF he comes down, they're going to need a ladder or a crane.Course he'd probably break the ladder.

  • ...and the crane

  • "19 and a half!...20 when he comes down. I love fractions too!" Classic. LOL!!!

  • Was this post-1985 or were other Muppets able to see Snuffy besides Big Bird?

  • It was post-1985 as far as I'm concerned.

  • 8 doors!! ah ah ah ah ah

  • Somewhere over the rainbow!! Classic

  • my good friend mr.snuffoficus...what??!

  • Man, the thunder was really loud back in the mid-1980s! They toned it down a bit, though.

  • The count rocks

  • snuffy always sounds depressed

  • Ll, I remember this, used to wat h it every day after school as a kid

Lol, I love the way Big Birds says "he's on my trampoline" as if he's the best, that cracks me up

  • i know, or like "ooh, i have a traMPOLine. yeah, that's right. don't you wanna jump? huh? well guess wut? YOU CAN'T!!"

  • Anyone noticed Snuffy was making the backdrops wave in the breeze from his jumping?

  • Of course, that's what makes it such a great memory. Thanks for posting good old Snuffy....

  • good way to learn about fractions

  • Awesome! This is great- I remember watching this episode as a kid!!! Can you upload the video clip that was starting at the end of this one?

  • OMG, I used to think about this all the time when I was a kid. Snuffy on the trampoline must-ve really blown my mind!

Snuffy's hairy self-erecting truck also weirded me out, and still does...

  • Yes, of course. In real life, Snuffy would have broke the trampoline, but since Sesame Street is fantasy, and the laws of physics don't apply there, it is possible for someone heavy like Snuffy to jump on it, but not break it, just send him sailing up onto the roof.

  • Hehe-it's silly enough when Big Bird is jumping on the trampoline-but when SNuffy does it it's hysterical-I was hoping that Snuffy would break the trampoline!

  • yeah me too! If he did break it there would have been an awfully loud noise when he falls through the trampoline! :D
