By "working people" getting "credit-worthy again", you actually mean deadbeats who took out loans they obviously couldn't pay back. And it was the GOV'T that sponsored htis idiotic enterprise. Oh yeah, socializing the banks is gonna do us a world of good.
This guy's a statist, not a "progressive." He doesn't want you to have individual freedom on these important economic matters.

Increasing the payout of SS?? How the fuck are you gonna do that? Raise taxes? Cut benefits? Raise the retirement age?
We'd all be better off if we just privatized the damn thing and put SS dollars in our own hands. It's doing no good staying in Washington, where the money doesn't accrue like it would with a normal investment account.
Besides, if I don't want SS later in life, shouldn't I get the choice to OPT OUT? What a bunch of statists to force me into a system like this.
