Oh my God, people!!!  Lighten up! This is hilarious. It's only about having some fun. There is NO mass conspiracy here. Anybody who grew up with Soul Train always dreamed of seeing themselves on the Soul Train line. Now they can do it and laugh at themselves, too. Better yet, interview today's singers and their inspirations together, then show clips of those past greats on Soul Train. You will prepare the young folk for the new version of the show, as well as the DVD release of the old show. Make these Youtube posts relevant to where the show is going. Give them purpose.

This is weak, even foolish, this entire idea. Luv the fact that Soul Train is moving forward, hate what you've been doing. Besides the interviews of old dancers, Asha's focus is all wrong. Celebrate the HISTORY, 36 years of music, dance, and Black Culture. Make it relevant to the future by combining the old with the new, new culture and old culture. Use some perspective, and vision, and bring use our rich Soul Train History to help bring the generations together. This effort is, just silly.

Hi Gale.. Yea, it's really sad and you said it best. But if you get BETJ on your cable channel. It changed today to the "Centric" network. They air their first episode of Soul Train today. It's actually the Jackson 5 one. But it's the complete episode. It will soon be coming on 5 days a week in the evenings. Hope you have the channel. Maybe that will save us from this. I do have BETJ thank God. But we have to do more than be thankful. We have to teach the young bloods, as we were taught, that what they have they can't take for granted. In this case, it's adequate representation on TV. We were so thrilled when Soul Train was on because there were so few of US on TV at all. And we were being shown the way we wanted to be shown, with style, class an dignity. We weren't mainstream like we are now. This "jibjab" trash demoralizes the show's value & importance
