  • I feel so much damn nastolgia when I listen to anything off of Whoracle. Really brings me back.

  • How about you all shut up and enjoy the music! IN FLAMES WE TRUST!

  • Just think how real this will be!

The devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw the dead stand before God and the books were opened, and the dead were judged according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

  • Fuck In Flames had a strong honest epicness in their sound back in the days.. Worldclass.. haven't heard much of their old stuff.. it's very different from the new stuff which is also awesome but not as epic!

  • a pretty badass music video could be made for this, i mean, one could be made for all of In Flames's old music, but i'd love to see one made for this thats based on the lyrics

  • Have to say that no mather how long time or how many bands i hear there has not been anybody who have been better then In Flames... Even if they are not that good anymore they have the best songs in the world...

Have to say.... In Flames I Trust

  • "In the kinetic energy of a moving fist lies a birth-machine for a parallel universe" - Epic doctoral thesis ftw

  • 69,669! lol

  • I can upload this album in better quality :D

  • If you love In Flames you might want to check out A Haunted Mantra, a melodic death metal band from Charlotte, NC

  • Buds abloom in all directions!! That line right there gave me shivers. So much agression in his voice I fucking love it!

  • @VelaStorm7 agreed rofl i got shivers down my spine xD

  • Love it!!!

  • how did they write such a beautiful song

  • it's funny beacuse he says kinetic like he would in swedish!

  • What the heck was Anders on when he wrote these lyrics. Don't get me wrong I love Anders lyrics and vocals but he had to be on something haha

  • @knowsbeans Honestly, I think a lot of the "out there" part of the lyrics comes from the fact that English is very much Anders' second language. .

  • @GoongalaGoongala

Actually, the lyrics weren't translated by Anders himself. Unless you mean the way he sings.

But part of what makes In Flames such a band of awesomeness is the fact that on a first glance, their lyrics make little sense but when you think deeper, they actually hold a lot of meaning. In Whoracle, this is actually more apparent than in Clayman. Take this song or Jotun for example. This one's about chaos theory, Jotun about overpopulation, but it ain't easy to see that at first.

  • @DespotOfDrama I think friden started writing the lyrics himself after colony, clayman an colony lyrics wre noticeably shallower, but the same synopsis.

  • @spike7389 I think they played it while touring after Come Clarity. was surprised as soon as they started playing, and it was amazing. 0:48

  • i listen this song when im really pissed of. but anders vocals scare my parents XD.

  • Listen to Voice of the Voiceless by Heaven Shall Burn. They've got a good singer who might scare your parents

  • epos

  • The Jester Race

    Clayman

    Colony

    Whoracle

  • One of the easier songs on guitar made by In Flames.

  • Subterranean

    The Jester Race

    Black Ash Inheritance

    Whoracle

    Colony

    Clayman

Best period of In Flames ever!!!!!

  • @PamperoHuayra

I'd even add Lunar Strain in that! The recording was not the best, but DAMN the songs were good! I really like Reroute to remain and some songs on soundtrack to your escape, but it's really Come Clarity that started killing everything. The worst album IMO is ASOP

  • @DTOSX666 In my opinion, Come Clarity is the worst album hands down. Despite I don't like at all In Flames' sound since Come Clarity, I like at least one or two songs per album since that.

  • @PamperoHuayra I heavily disagree. Honestly this new sound gives them their own edge. HOWEVER I was not pleased with Sounds of a Playground Fading. In my opinion Reroute to Remain, Soundtrack to Your Escape, Come Clarity, and A Sense of Purpose was their best period.

  • @BitchingHour All that is only matter of tastes to me. Thanks for giving your opinion.

  • @BitchingHour Wow, opinions are good but we of absolutely differing opinions. While I quite like "most" of the the albums you think are their best period. I much prefer the earlier stuff. Taken in the context of the entire album, bar the odd great song I think A Sense of Purpose and Come Clarity are their weakest albums, Sounds of a playground fading seems like they are trying to incorporate older In Flames styling with the newer sound, so its given hope to many of the older fans.

  • @atnighthawk It's just a matter of when I found out about them. I discovered them after Come Clarity came out. And to make things clear I did NOT hear about them from Guitar Hero. It was just timing. But yeah the In Flames that I knew from the beginning was their newer sound. So to me this older stuff is what I'm not familiar with. So it's not a matter of like and dislike, it's just what I associate In Flames with when I hear their music.

  • @atnighthawk i can`t see their old stuff in sounds of a playground fading, srsly, too me that album is even softer then asop, especially the screaming, and they tried to implement the old sound and succeded( in my opinion ) in come clarity, anyway In Flames We Trust!

  • nothing compared to this.... CoB are good i like them.. BUT IN FLAMES ARE THE BEST!!

  • Great lyrics and an interesting concept. So, who else looked up what a "Meganeura" is? :-)

  • @thisisexile66

It was mentioned in passing in an invertebrate evolution class I was taking, now the song wont leave my head!

  • @thisisexile66 I did haha

  • @thisisexile66 A Meganeura was a primitive dragonfly who lived in the carboniferous, and was enormous... just imagine a 75 cm wingspan dragonfly.

  • @PamperoHuayra Yeah, I know. If I remember correctly, the larger size of insects was due to oxygen levels that were much higher than today. The only thing that limited their size was how much weight their exoskeletons could support. I would not be a very big fan of them if they were around today!

  • I never make this sort of comments, but I really can't believe there are 2 people who dislike this song.

  • @EverxOpeningxFlower Lol I can think of two people that don't like this song...my parents haha

  • Comment removed

  • One of their best songs. This songs concept is awesome.

  • @Zantar17 fuck yeah agreed..

  • I want this song to play when a nuclear missile is heading towards my house

  • Wish he could still sing like this... possibly the best studio vocal performance by Anders.

  • @Timetakesusall To bad Anders is a fagget now.

  • BUUUDDS, ABLOOOOM.... fucking wicked vocal intro...

  • I f'n love old In Flames! Whoracle,Jester Race,&Colony are in my opinion the best In Flames albums!!

  • Of a a Mooooving Fist!!

    i just love anders voice

  • The Jester Race,Whoracle,Colony, and Clayman are the best....their Subterranean EP is also one of my favorites....Reroute To Remain was good too...dont really care 2 much for anything else by them though 2 be honest....their first album Lunar Strain was good too....

  • @garryOBJ You forgot Black-Ash Inheritance

  • @SuprSaiyanRockr I kinda count that 1 with the Jester Race..cuz i have the album that also has Black-Ash Inheritance on it...

  • I don't like anders current voice, listen to songs like cloud connected live, its sung so dramatic and with so much sound effects

  • Don't listen to metal at all nowadayz, but this album was a favourite back when it came out and is one of a few i still enjoy listening to. This album has dope lyrics through out it all, especially this song. In Flames has really done a musical journey through the years, and I gotta say - shit was better in the 90's

  • @021Hndstls how come u dont listen 2 metal anymore mate?

  • @illdino it's more relaxing and its got a vibe that siuts my lifestyle alot better :) plus the lyrics often deal with everyday issues like sippin' brew and doin' dirt in the streets. as opposed to lyrics about love and dragons and what not.. haha. Peace

  • Why In flames suck so bad now? This was one of the best band EVER

  • @BlackWolwerine Because things have to change. And your voice can't stay like this forever, unless you sing really mellow like CSN or something.

  • The riff that starts at 3:48 after the solo is great. I love that transition.

  • This song ROCK "in flames" ones of the best melodic/Growing deathmetal bands ever"

  • This song ROCK "in flames" ones of the best melodic/Growing deathmetal bands ever"

  • @qwio1290

WTF is "Melodic growing deathmetal" ??

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01 WTF indeed.....i wonder if he meant "growling"? still, what a half-assed way to label something....sheesh. ive seen your comments ALOT, ususally very interestingly worded and intelligent, or at times, utterly hilarious. "im seeling ham in this kitchen" i almost pissed my pants laughing at that one, cause thats EXACTLY what it sounds like in the song. cheers fellow metalhead.

  • @19wayfarer19

Hey mate. Yeah i saw you too on many In Flames songs.

There are just to reasons to declare my frenquency of comments on In Flames videos.

    1. I enjoy to discuss on YouTube :-)

    2. In Flames is my just my all time favourite band.

    Greets to you mate.

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01 same reasons here. take this life was the first song i heard, and i was hooked. really digged the feel of it, the chorus and solo, riff thing as well. then my friend got me to listen to emody the invisible, and i thoughtto myself "how on earth could this band be any more godly?" then i heard man made god, and said "these ARE gods", then i heard jester script transfigured, and said. "they are what came before god, the inspiration of his universe and all the cosmos".

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01 lol indeed, there are some stupid sub genres people come up with, you ever heard of "Bladecore"??

  • @MinistryOfProng

Yeah i know the deathcore scene kiddies often come up with such shit. Do you also know "Goatcore"..."Buttercore" or "Mallcore" ?#LOL

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01 Kinda sad isn't it?

  • @MinistryOfProng

Yeah Deathcore is mostly listened from stupid 11 - 15 year old scene kiddies.

Ok, some Deathcore/Metalcore bands are OK but mostly its just pathetic "trying to sound suuuuper broootal" with overacted breakdowns every 10 seconds, overacted low piqsquealing etc... Bottom line is: mostly it sounds "suuuuper pathetic". Gay stuff like "Suicide Silence" or "BMTH". Its pure fag scene shit. Emo haircuts, skinny pants.....these bands just sell cause 12 year old emo girlies love that.

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01 there are some cool core bands, I really enjoy Unearth, don't see many emo/scene during their concerts, but Deathcore.. you must really look far will you see a good one, like Job for a cowboy, its not my taste, but I do respect them

  • @MinistryOfProng

I know. I also like some Metalcore bands who dont try to be super "broootal" and "trendy". All That Remains is a really good band. Unearth as well. The only Deathcore band i like is maybe "Winds Of Plague". Ok they have some shitty videos but the sound is different to usual Deathcore bands. They just use Death Metal growling and they use symphonic synths in the backsground. Its one of the "better Deathcore". But sadly the most of other Deathcore sucks.

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01 agree, All that remains are awesome, but their last album was a real dissapointment, also if you don't know them, Between the buried and me, prog metalcore, some call it a stupid genre, but they make metalcore with lots of progressive elements in it

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01 he meant Growling Death metal that is melodic... dont be so literal!

  • If only Anders kept his old vocal style... I guess his voicebox couldn't handle it.

Whoracle my fav album, followed by Colony, Jester...

  • theres many people telling this song is about masturbating. what it really makes me think of, is about being out at night, completely drunk, at a point where you're literally psicotic as the world revolves and vibrates around you schyzophrenically, while you go stumbling against walls with heavy feet and deorbitated eyes, remembering pieces of a fight where you didn't understood shit of what happened.

  • My first in flames song and truly a benchmark for any other song I listened to after...

  • @episode6666

My first IF song also... I can thank Australia's JJJ radio staion - 3 hours of power!

  • An masterpiece right here my friends.

  • Nirvanaaaaaaaaaa

That pretty much sums up the power of In Flames. Nirvana , a legendary band, set as a lyric in an In Flames song !

  • @NearbyHermit You best be trolling. That lyric isn't because of the band.

  • @shookabow77382 Lol, do you even know what nirvana means ?

Do you even know how to joke, for instance ?

  • One of the best In Flames songs. Definitely inspired by a peyote trip, hence the reference. I think this song is about the fractal or recursive nature of reality, like a 'universes within universes' sort of thing.

  • top 5 In flames song for sure.

  • Sparked away back into

vacuum-filled NIRVANA!!!!! holy shit anders, holy shit...

  • After The Hive, this has to be their best song. It's just epic in every single possible way :D

  • they never played that live :(

  • Worlds Within the Margin = Black/Death Metal Vocal Master Class!!

Up the In Flames! ..er....In Flames We Trust!

  • this song kinda sounds like dark tranquility

  • 3:49-4:05 = Wow...just wow.

  • @UnwillingOrigins

thats my fav part out of the whole song...

  • one of the best songs from In Flames, the most doom-ish sounding one

  • this song is amazing. i love the slow tempo, adds a lot of emotion and feeling

  • Everything Anders does is SO AWESOME!!! IN FLAMES WE TRUST!

  • @skaplis

    you suck

  • @skaplis

Bow down before Whoracle, the superior, the one.

  • @skaplis Go listen to one of their boring albums post Clayman then. Those sound nothing like In Flames in their prime.

  • @DIMMUSAKURABA lol... another dumbass who can say nothing but "their first albums are great, the others suck". Well I don't think "Come Clarity" is a bad album, its actually one of their bests, songs like "Crawl through knives" "Take this life" and "Your Bedtime Story Is Scaring Everyone" will just blow your balls off. And for all of you dumbshits that say In Flames are not any good now, where were you before when they had to do odd-jobs just so they wouldn't starve to death. Get real!

  • @F0RaNg3L

They've definitely changed and became more poppy sounding. They unfortunately have strayed away from melodeth over the years

  • @skaplis

    what album you prefer then??

please dont tell me their later stuff...

  • simple one the best just awesome !!!

  • Anders Vocals in this song are awesome!!!

  • In Flames We Trust - Italy

  • Amazing song for Whoracle album...

    Great voice. In Flames rules.

  • excellente ! Vive In Flames !!

  • INSANE *_*

  • im just blown away from the awesomeness of this godly song inflames we trust

  • So damn true!

  • BEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song, this song.. THIS song.. hmm I can't express myself. It's just totally fucking awesome.

  • I was on about lyrics on the NEWest Albums if u read.

  • most fucking badass lyrics of all time

  • Lyrics so AWESOME

  • man, i hope they play this song live in the near future. want to hear if Anders still got it.

Love the heavy growling in this song!<3

  • Its melodic death metal u nubile fucks

  • shit, the lyrics are so fucking awesome. witness the power of peyote.

  • epic song

that riff at 0:49 is so godlike

  • @MrHamsi Damn true!

  • and soundtrack and reroute sound almost like nu metal, which im not a fan of CLAYMAN WHORACLE COLONY LUNAR STRAIN & JESTER RACE 4 EVER

  • Totally agree with you

  • In Flames We Trust

    São Paulo, Brazil

    -----------------------------

IMO, CHECK, I said IMO, Whoracle is the best album ever, the new In Flames is a bit sold out...

But, as I said, it's my opinion, there is no why to argue.

  • i still dont get what "sold out" means...

  • when bands change their sound to fit the mainstream

  • It's obvious old In Flames is better, I mean look at the lyrics. They dont say anything this heavy in their newer shit. Its all emo.

  • Seriously

I called In Flames emo once and pissed some people off pretty badly. I guess they don't discuss philosophical concepts like the butterfly effect or astrophysics in death metal anymore. It's all about playing records backwards and killing yourself.

  • i dont think this song is about butterfly effect or astrophysics, i always thought that this is maybe about what happens when nuclear bomb or something like that triggers...in time between butterfly flap its wings entire cycles of evolution are destroyed ;] but maybe im wrong im no good in this stuff ;]

  • I think that in all In Flames songs, this one is the least like a riddle, i take its meaning quite literally... im not really sure how to sum it all up though.....i guess my take on the meaning is that hes trying to tell us that there may be universes within universes, like within the molecules or some shit.... what ever the meaning, it fuckin makes you think.

  • nah they actualy meen stuff, hes trying to let listeners connnect to the songs and reflect on them in there life, you havent seen the inter view but anders said it himself O_O

  • Like Anders would know; he didn't write the lyrics to any of the songs on Whoracle...

  • Well didn't he write it in swedish then someone from dark tranquility translated it?

  • yeah, the vocalist of dark tranquility, Sundin...

  • So basically their newer stuff is less fantasy? It's just as heavy in lyrical terms - look at Leeches (especially the live perfomances), for God's sake.

  • Its odd, all of my favorite growlers don't have English as a first language. I think it has something to do with the fact that they pronounce some words differently, giving them a more gutteral sounds.

  • I nearly cream myself at the part where the guitars kick in right after he says "In the...". Fuckin POWERFUL

  • you and me both, brother ;]

  • hahaha yuhhh

  • i bought this album 1 year ago!!

and i'm damn proud of it.

    DO NOT DOWNLOAD ALBUMS!

  • if you take all In Flames alboums in which Anders is in, you realise that he is a very talented singer, damn..

But I really hope he'll start singing like that again.

  • that will be fkin amazing =D

  • @vageloukos

I don't think his voice will let him sound like this anymore :(

  • One of my favourite songs!!

    In Flames We Trust!

  • such a badass song, Im happy they decided to record this album so soon after the jester race, because this is what happens

  • Shiiiiit! Listen to the "Buds abloom, in all directions!" It's sooooooooooo.....Mighty :D

  • i got an eargazm first time i heard it indeed

  • The band is rare. The song - perfect!

  • Ya i love his voice!!! He sounds so badass!!! Thats because he is!!!!

  • This is so underrated... Listen to Anders' voice in this song. It's so awesome. For me this this has to be one of the best In Flames songs ever!

  • Great song but it starting for me at 03:00, what a great melody

  • whoracle is the shit

  • damn I love this song~~!!!

and I just resently "found" it....

    I'm ashamed of myself =/

  • powerful

  • omg the lyrics lyrics lyrics

  • I uploaded the whole album on my account but when I listened I thought the lyrics were wrong XD, So I yelled shit and ran to find another video to see if the lyrics were right XD.

  • great song but no matter how good you are at hearing lyrics its almost impossible

  • tru dat LOLOL

  • not if you yourself sing the same way xD

its not completely impossible, just like, depends

  • lol i can perfectly understand them

  • It's just that the beginning where he's talking is hard to hear. You get used to it after a few listens.
