i think the reason such manipulation like convincing a person that they can't unstick their hand is possible is because of the gestures and eye contact he uses to literally distract the brain from signaling the hand to detach from the glass. Essentially what is going on is that he requesting you to do two things at once: focus on him and detach your hand. this obviously must distract you brain from instructing u to act because the brain is preoccupied with interpretting his over-the-top gestures

He can even find out what they WOULD'VE done 50 YEARS from now using that formula. I suggest looking DEEP into NLP modeling for a better answer.
