I have to say it's quite possible. Some people on the forums are running R53's with 210 whp... while my E36 M3 has roughly 210-215whp stock. However, once the M3 starts modding, the Mini doesn't have much of a chance. Both are awesome cars though... I would own both if I could, along with a z4m coupe and a Fiat 500 Abarthe :)
The M3 driver kinda rode the clutch out on the shift..

At 140 km/h+ the M3 passes the Mini very well....but till than, I`m very pleased with my Mini....
